My family and I have a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy on August 31. We are planning 5 nights at WDW before the cruise. I really want our WDW and DCL to feel like one seamless vacation, looking for recommendations for a resort to create this feeling.

The budget is the price of Beach club or lower.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

what are your favorite parks?

where do you like to eat at? parks, resorts, DD, BW

would go with BC - you can walk to Epcot and boat (or walk) to Studios

We will be going to all 4 parks, MK 2x

We are planning to eat at Cape May, Boma, OHana, Kouzzina, Be Our Guest, Askerhus

We have been to WDW 5x
Have stayed previously at CSR, AKL, Pop, ASMu,

My biggest focus for this trip is theming, either immersed in Disney - Art of Animation or Port Orleans Royal Room, Caribbean theming CBR, beach theme - Beach Club, boat theme - yacht club

I have never had such a hard time picking a resort.

Beach Club would be a nice addition to a DCL trip (or YC). They have the sandy beach, Stormalong Bay, and a be achy/nautical theme. Plus the location is fantastic for visiting Epcot and DHS.

We picked Poly for after our cruise and that worked nicely, too, but I think YC/BC has better pricing and we absolutely love it there. :goodvibes

BC is a great choice! Esp in August, SAB is the best pool on property! Keep in mind August discounts haven't been released yet, but can be between 30% & 35% for Deluxe resorts.

Planning IMO is essential to a relaxed WDW vacay. Late August has traditionally lower crowds, and that's when we go. Although lately the last week of August is a little more busy then it used to be, it's still low compared to other times.

2 web sites I like, well, ok 3. Are Easy Disney which has a free Crowd Calendar which tells you which is the best park to go to each day (the least crowded). Also Touring Plans.com which has a $10? subscription fee for the year I think, but also has a crowd calendar, and touring plans. Go figure ;) It gives you the order to go on attractions, avoiding long lines. It works.
My 3rd top site is allears.net Loads of info about all the WDW resorts, incl fact sheets, loads of photos of the resorts, and also lists all the restaurants in WDW, CS, TS, in parks, in resorts, in DTD complete with menus and prices.

Have fun planning!
