We have eaten at most of the EPCOT restaurants and are thinking of trying a new one for dinner. It is just DH and I on this trip. We are not super picky, and appreciate good food. We have not yet been to the restaurants below, please help me pick one:

Akershus
Spice Road Table
Marrakesh
La Hacienda
Garden Grill
Nine Dragons

THANKS! :)

I would try La Hacienda or maybe Spice Table Road. I haven't been to either restaurants, but if I could go with just my husband, this is what I would try. :goodvibes

I really enjoyed La Hacienda when I ate there in 2013. I had the tilapia dish (pescado a la talla) and the apple turnover dessert (empanada de manzana). The entree came with rice, tortillas and delicious black beans. If I had not been solo, I would have wanted to try the Parillada del Mar, the seafood dinner for 2.

I would love to try Spice Road Table, but again would want a dinner companion for sharing things. Loved Marrakesh in '99 and '04 but haven't been there since then (both times my sister & I had the royal feast, family-style shared meal).

Have you tried Teppan Edo? Or Tokyo Dining they are both good.

Just tried Spice Table last month. I am not normally drawn to that type of food and not a spicy food fan. I loved it. I do not like hummus, their's I couldn't get enough. It was delicious and the spicy items had so much flavor coming through I didn't mind. Service excellent and loved sitting outside (with heaters) along the water.

Marrakesh is a good choice for both tasty food & really beautiful, unique theming/decor. I had the Royal Feast a few years ago and really enjoyed. I would warn that is was definitely colder in the restaurant and while this could be a big plus in warmer weather, it was definitely chilly in January. I think I ate with my jacket on. The mint tea service is also fun. Lunch is a much better value as many of the same entrees are offered at noon for a substantially lower price. I loved La Hacienda's shrimp tacos at F&W (both the originals and the new version that debuted this past Fall) and would try the restaurant for these alone if there weren't other new dining opportunities available. I'm looking forward to trying Spice Road Table's new dinner entrees if free dining is offered again this Fall. The small tapas-size plates are interesting but not a great value as they add up quickly. I don't think you can really go terribly wrong with any of the above three. Enjoy!

The only one on your list that we haven't tried yet is Spice Rd. We have an ADR for it next month. Of the others, la Hacienda would be our choice, although we have also had good meals at Marrakesh.

We have reservations for Spice Road for next trip for Illuminations viewing. We also debated about trying Marrakesh, but liked the viewing of Illuminations at Spice Road.

We've been to all of these and I'd go with La Hacienda. Spice Road Table is also an interesting take.

I'd skip Nine Dragons because you can most likely get better Chinese food in your own home town at a much lower price. I'd also avoid Akershus because of the whole princess buffet thing jacking up the price to just ridiculous levels.

Garden Grill and Nine Dragons would be my choices. If Nine Dragons, Sesame Chicken really good

We love the food at Garden Grill. It has become one of our favorites. It isn't a romantic restaurant, though, if that is what you are looking for.

I'd recommend Spice Road Table for exactly this reason. DH and I had a late supper there during our May parents-only trip. Ordered a pitcher of sangria and hung out for IllumiNations. Food was very good, sangria was very good, experience was excellent!

The 3 on your list that we have been to are 3 I would NOT recommend. They are
Akershus...expensive and characters, some food was good and some was yucky
Garden Grill...expensive for a meh turkey dinner (we prefer Liberty Tree for the turkey dinner at WDW) and characters, very noisy and busy place with lots of little kids
Marakesh...ICK!!! Did not like the bland dry food. We didn't have a good view of the dancers either. One of the very few places we will NEVER go back to. We do love the CS in Morocco though, Tangierine Cafe.

If it were me and DH, I'd pick Spice Road Table or La Hacienda (we want to try those).

We love GG, food is fresh (literally), characters are fun even if it's just you and your DH.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

One of our new favorites is La Hacienda. They have a couple good "dinner for two" platters. One is beef based, the other seafood...and you get plenty.
