There is a Chippendale Ave in our town. When we were looking for houses there was one for sale on this road and I wouldn't even go look at it because I just couldn't live on Chippendale Ave .
I think this is a lovely opportunity to honor a local hero -- the teacher who has been at your local school for 30 years and everyone loves, or the firefighter that pulled that baby out of the fire, or something. The kind of person the whole world knows about, but doesn't.

Well, I can't help you with the Disney names - but there IS a Sesame Street in Wakefield Massachusetts if they need to be convinced of the legitimacy. Besides, it was a seed LONG before it was a street or tv show
It might not be an issues at all, I was just curious. I imagine that the Children's Television Workshop is a bit less protective of their image then Disney. While I can't see how naming a street after a character would do anything to the image or value of that character at all sometimes Disney is a bit paranoid. It's almost like some of their attorney's walk around in aluminum foil hats just to be safe.

I wouldn't take a chance with ANYTHING Disney related just for this reason. They are VERY protective of anything Disney. The have an entire company devoted to protecting anything Disney (my cousin worked for them for several years). Heck, a day care center in our old town, small rural MN town, had some yard statues of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and they received a letter from Disney demanding they remove the statues. How they found this day care center, who knows.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think I might submit Meadowland Dr, Countryside Way and Harvest Way as my top 3 suggestions. We will have to wait and see what happens
