Help me name my new puppy

Friday I become the proud "parent" of our 2nd rescue animal. This one is a 6 month old black lab/newfoundland mix who will grow up to be the size of a Volkswagon. I really want to give her a name linked to "Pirates of the Caribbean", but can't seem to come up with just the right name. Here's some that are under consideration - Savvy, Jackie & Poppet. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Captain Jack would be a great name for a Volkswagen sized dog, I used to have a dog named Lieutenant Benjamin but he was only golf cart sized

How about Captain Jackie, Black Pearl, or Treasure. I wished my dog allowed us to rename her, but she wanted to stay being Jessie so we add Belle when we want her right then. She also like sweet nicknames like Lovebug and Snuggles. We adopted her from a pet-a-thon fair at Petsmart.

My vote is for "LOVEBUG"!!! (NC Belle mentioned the name) What better name for a Volkswagon sized Dog!!


We also adopted a Black Lab/Newfie mix from the shelter. When we took him to the vet, the vet recognized him and said that he was from a family in a nearby town and he was a pure-bred Flat-coated retriever! And now that he is 1 1/2 he is exactly that!! We named him Jazz. DD thought it was a female and wanted Jasmine, when we found out it was a boy, we shortened it to Jazz!
