Help Me Figure Out When I should Go

Okay, I've been planning a trip to WDW for a while now, and my first instinct was to go around mid to end of August. I booked my reservation on August 17th - August 22nd, mainly because I thought crowds would be less at that time. My mom suggests that we go July 5th - July 10th, but I argue that the lines will be enormous. I'm postiive that lines will be shorter at the end of August, rather than a day after the Fourth of July, but she still argues. Can anybody tell me if there really is that much of a difference, and if I'll be so frustrated with the July lines that I might just want to leave?

The lines and crowds will be MUCH better at the end of August. You are correct.
