help me decide please!

I am wanting to visit the Fort for a long weekend in May. We are tent campers and when I called to reserve they said there are no partial sites open for that weekend. I am worried about picking a preferred or premium, as I do not want to be surrounded by large RV's with my small tents! Is there a more remote loop(s) that attracts more tenters/small campers? Anyone have suggestions? Thanks

Check on the full hook-up, instead of premium or preferred.

I thought there were only three (partial, preferred, premium) choices-- which loops are full hook ups?

Play around with your dates too. After you book the dates (that you may not initially want) you can always call back and have them make it to what you actually need. I've had to do it a few times and they were more than happy to give me exactly what we needed.

So try to book a couple days earlier through the weekend, or add a few days to the end of the weekend.


Unless your trying to book Memorial Day weekend....that might be a little difficult...

I just went on the website (after a few days of not checking) and now partial sites are available, so I'm booked for Mother's Day weekend . And I know you don't bite, it would just feel weird to be dwarfed by the big rigs!
