Okay, Dis'ers ! Step into our virtual wedding dress shop and help me decide on what to wear for my December wedding ! I love them both (as you can see they have similar elements) and they both look good on. They actually will both have the same skirt as the one with the sash, because I didn't want *that* much skirt, and they will both be ivory, with natural white lace.

I am at crunch time, and I would love to hear your opinions! But hurry--I have let this go too long, and now the designer is fixin' to scream at me!

I pick the first one ... I like the ballet/off the shoulder/strapless look of it! :-)

I like the first one too! It's very pretty. Both are, but I think the first one is more classy and princess-like! Good luck! :sunny:

I like the second one - for comfort reasons. After working in bridal for years, I believe that off the shoulder should be banned from weddings! You can't hug anyone or raise your arms up for your first dance. It is VEEERRY pretty, but so constricting. If you aren't dancing or don't care to hug any of your guests, go with #1.

I too vote for the first one...looks so very nice! :bride:

Although both are beautiful, I like the second one best, then again I'm sorta biased seeing my own dream dress has a gold sash ;)

#2 - I am a huge fan of V-necks(especially if you got some girls to highlight) I think they are so much more flattering than the off the shoulder scoop neck thing. Although I do like the sleeves on #1. Good luck, they are both beautiful.

I think #2 is so very romantic and elegant... Perfect for a December wedding! :thumbsup2

...but I really do appreciate your input. Thanks, y'all. You are all very kind to take the time to try to help me.

So...basicallly...it's a toss up. LOL. You realize I am right back where I started, because you all wrote pretty much *exactly* what I was thinking. Great minds, and all that.

I hadn't thought about the constricting arms thing, although I do see how that could be a problem. I am athletic and active, and although no one will be expecting me to serve a tennis ball in the dress ( I hope) I need to think about how I am going to feel if I do feel constricted.

V necks do look nice on me; I am not particularly busty or anything, but the neckline just seems to flatter my face shape, or something. I get more compliments with v necks, it seems, but then, it's not like I wear off the shoulder lace tops o a regular basis. OTOH <here I go again> I would hate for all that &^%$#! weightlifting to go to waste by not baring my shoulders. The overhead military presses, the dumb bell shoulder flies, etc.etc. etc. ad nauseam.

I know, I know. I am being ridiculous. This wedding has made me a little  I am always saying to everyone else, "there are no bad choices, just different choices...so pick a direction and go with it!"

I'm such a little hypocrite.

Anyway, my "real world" friends (as opposed to you all, my "cyber friends") like the first dress about 3 to 1. I'd like to ask my DF because he actually has great taste but he refuses to help, because he wants to be surprised.

In the meantime, I still can't make up my mind.

Here's a vote for dress 2. I think it is so classy, elegant, and different. I love the lace, and the roushing at the bottom. The top one looks kinda ballet to me.

as a dancer you'd think I'd go with number 1 but sorry I LOVE #2...If your slim I think the v-neck would highlight that more-so then the ballet neck. It's going to draw attention down to your waist and I think it looks so grown up elegant....plus I like the back :goodvibes

GOOD LUCK
