Help me decide if we should visit AK this trip?

So, this is actually my first WDW trip. DH went once when he was like 7 or so.

We have four park days, hoppers, and are staying at Bay Lake.

We love zoos and visit one in every city. But, we won't be riding Flight of Passage, and Expedition Everest will be closed. We aren't sure if it's still worth a visit over there to basically ride 3 rides and see some exhibits.

Obviously we could parkhop over there anytime, but mainly we are not sure if it's good use of one of our "reservation" mornings.

Would really appreciate some advice!

One idea I will be using for one day.

Start with an EP res. Get or try for a Remy BG (unless the BG wait times are long). Switch to an AK res. Have a morning at AK and then take a break. You have park hoppers, so just enjoy a few hours at AK.

While we love AK, it is still not a full day park for us. FOP is one of our favorite rides too. I definitely thing you should spend a few hours there. Depending on when you are going, AK is one of the hottest parks during the middle of the day (don't know why, but it feels like it anyway), so that may make going there first thing in the morning more interesting to you.

I think that as of Jan 10 they are not using BG anymore.. Just ILL and standby

You should definitely hop over there once just to see everything, take some pics in front of the tree, etc. It will be a fun place to visit, but only after you have been to another park that day. You could incorporate a dinner there or at the AK Lodge too.

Well no more Remy boarding groups haha

Yeah, that's one thing we're like "maybe" on because we would really like to dine at Sanaa. Thanks!

We'll be there the last week of March :)

If it were me, I would book a bit earlier time at Sanaa and then go see AK at night. You can still see and do things and you get the pleasure of seeing the Tree lit up and also Pandora at night is really spectacular.

I'd do AK as a park hopper in the afternoon unless you really want to see the safari with a shorter line.

We absolutely love the Safari and would go to AK for just that. But, we don’t live near a zoo, so it’s a treat for us. We also enjoy conservation station and taking the drawing class.
