we're going w/the american heroes promotion ---
flying down from NJ, and only have the choice of:

Port Orleans
Carib Beach
Coronado Spgs

for a 4-nite trip --- just me (41) and DH (42) (dink's) --- first time back since '88 (eeek - it's been that long!)
either 4/11-15 or 4/18-22

my head's gonna explode --- making a decision is not like it was when i was in college @ USF and took a car ride over for the day ---
help me PLEASE --- all the postings are just confusing me.

thanks

Cindy,
Welcome to the Dis board!!!

My choice would be CBR ( Caribean Beach Resort).
It's a large resort, so if people tend to love it or hate it.
We were in building 25 last March.. Couldn't of asked for a better resort. The colors just make you feel relaxed. There are beach areas and hammocks all around.

Feel free to ask what ever question you have.

Welcome, hazmat, from a former Jersey Girl! :)

I LOVE CBR and have created a couple of web sites with a lot of pictures and information. Click on the first link below, where it says "Family vacations" and that will take you to my pictures from last year, and then on that main page is the link to my CBR page with pictures from CBR from just 2 weeks ago! :)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away! :)

Check out the FAQ's for each resort, along with the pictures and decide which one looks best to you.

I have stayed at PO-FQ & PO-RS. I liked PO-FQ better because it was small.

We stay at CBR for the first time next week!:D

You will get 100 different answers to that question. It will all come down to preference. You really can't go wrong with any of the moderates.

CSR is also a beautiful, large resort layout in a Mexican/SW theme. It has a great food court, best main pool on site and great atmosphere. Check out my info page below.

Good luck deciding!

Since you are not going to have any children with you , I would discourage you from staying at the PO Riverside. You'll feel like you're in the twin boys room. Much too rustic for a couple on their own. The mansion rooms are suppose to be lovely but they were closed when we were down there earlier this month. Enjoy your trip!

DH and I just stayed at CBR alone last week. :) We had a great time. ;) We were in Martinique, building 24... it was WONDERFUL!! :)

After a ton of research I settled on CBR for my next trip in September. It just seems to have the best atmosphere for an adults only trip. Definitely look at SeaSpray's website, also www.wdwig.com has some great pictures of all the resorts.

My vote is for CSR. My dh and I went without our dd for the first time last fall. It was a wonderful relaxing and mellow trip. No kids bugging me about what time or where or when we are going etc. You know what I mean, lol. In my humble opinion, CSR is totally for adults even though kids really like it too. I think it is because it is a convention resort that it is more geared to adults. The conventions did not bother us and it was fun trying to guess where all the people were from etc. The themeing is wonderfull and the pool area is great. We spent one hour every morning and evening and wanted to take it home with us. Lucky for other people that it can accomitate about 15 people. The people we met there were all having fun. Some were with conventions and were planning to return at a later date without the convention. We were just steps from the pool area and did not hear a thing from the Dig Site. We were in Cabanas 8A and would stay there again. It is close to the Dig Site and has a bus stop behind the building, and the main area is just across the lake. We able to see fireworks at nite over the lake which was totally cool. Couldn't figure out where they were from and it was beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Told the CM at CRO that we were celebrating aour anniversay and we recieved a coupon for a champaigne toast at the bar and balloons and a autographed picture from Mickey and Minnie.

Where ever you stay, you will have a magical and wonderful time.
