help "locking" images

To all of you dear disigners: Could someone PLEASE help me??? I am a BASIC disigner. Please don't laugh, put I am doing my disigns on Microsoft Word. Like I said, pretty basic. Does anyone know HOW I can "lock" the items on my page, as I layered several items, so that I can expand and contract them without having to resize everything every time I want to making them a different size? Maybe this isn't able to be done but I would appreciate whatever anyone has to offer. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
