HELP!!!! I THINK I HAVE SCREWED THE POOCH...BIG TIME!!!! :scared1:

I have been a good little DDP planner and booked all my ADR's on the 180 day mark for my trip and was able to secure all the hard to book TS places and at the times I wanted as well.

Here's where I made...what seems to be...a MONUMENTAL MISTAKE!!! I booked for two children and 2 adults (I have an infant and a 7 yo). I then found out that my nephew (7 yo) was coming with us. I didn't change the ressies because I assumed it wouldn't be an issue for him to sit in my lap (that's what we do at ANY restaurant, b/c he WON'T sit in a high chair). I guess I also thought this wouldn't be a problem because of Disney's attitude towards bringing an infant to their resort. He stays in the room as an extra (crib) with no charge...he gets into parks at no charge...the DDP is of no charge to him (even when it's NOT free) you get my point, I simply didn't think it would be a problem! Anyhoo, as I'm attempting to change a ressie this AM & the CM discovers this situation and informs me that I may change the ressies to 2 adults and 2 7 yo's but, (insert yelling here) IF YOU ATTEMPT TO SHOW UP WITH "THAT" INFANT YOU WILL NOT BE SEATED!!!!!!I don't know what to do!!! I've even thought of taking turns with DH staying with the baby while the other adult eats with the two 7 yo's, because I was informed that they would seat 3 or 4, but not 5.

Sorry the post is sooo long, but I need advice NOW!!!

Bring "that" infant with you. And the two boys. And your spouse. Let the Hostess know "that" infant will be in your or your spouse's lap for the entire meal and will not need a high chair. You should be fine.

Change the ones you can change to five. For the ones you can't, don't sweat it. This is the sort of thing that Disney hosts/hostesses deal with all the time. FWIW, DRC CMs are often out of touch with what actually happens in the parks.

Don't panic... your baby will be seated with you with no problem. Even if you came with an extra adult who actually needed a seat, they would do the best to seat you all, though that's not guaranteed of course.

Sad that some CMs can put useless stress in someone's vacation.. sheesh!

Under no circumstance should a CM be yelling at you.. even if you did something wrong.. which you did not.

Don't worry about it:)

Have a great trip!

We showed up at Donald's Breakfastosaurus with an extra adult and not a word was said.

I wouldn't worry about having the baby with you. That was very rude of the CM to say that.

She also illuded to the fact that she was adding some sort of note on the ressie that I "had" an infant listed but canceled that. It gave me the impression that she was going to note that I might try to bring him.

...soooooooooooooo RUDE, I cannot remember when I've had someone treat me that badly. She spoke to me as though I were a 3 yo and was too stupid to understand or maybe that she thought I was going to try to sneak him in. I have never encountered that sort of CM before...I think she should look for another profession if she can't be polite to customers (ei. not dealing with the public LOL!!!).

Thanks for the positive replies, I feel a little better about the situation!

Ahhh don't sweat it... someone is just having a "I HAVE SOME TINY BIT OF FICTIOUS CONTROL OVER YOU" day... Bring your child... talk to a Manager at the restaurant if it becomes an issue... Trust me they will do whatever they can to help you out... why lose out on the bill of 4 for the issue of an infant? That is bad business sense and Disney is not all bad at making money!

If you can change some then change them, otherwise as already stated, just turn up and say that he will be sitting on a knee, so you will not need an extra seat. I really do not think it will be a problem.

We did this last year and it was just fine. I just told them at each podium there was an infant also.

...soooooooooooooo RUDE,
Ease your mind. Call back. Talk to a different, nicer CM (odds are pretty high you WON'T get the same CM on your next call, although I actually have done that in the past). Confirm that you're all on your reservations.

Ummmm what are you supossed to do, leave him outside?!!!!

Don't stress. You are booked for a 4 top table and that is all you need. You won't be ordering an extra meal so no extra stress on the chefs. I would totally put it out of my mind if I were you.

Have fun on your trip!

In May, we originally had an ADR for a party of nine for an Akerhaus dinner, and then an Aunt and Uncle thought it sounded like fun and decided to join us.

I called to change the ADR to 11, and guess what? Akerhaus doesn't have any tables for 11. They have tables for ten, and that's what they had allocated for our party of 9. They didn't have availability to split our party up, so I changed the ADR to 10.

When we showed up, I told the host that we really had 11 people. He said, in his best Norwegian, "Cool, your table will be ready in five minutes." And it was.

Don't worry about it. Just go and have a great time!

The ONLY issue I see with an infant being an add on, is that at some tables, it can block a fire exit (or path). And since an ADR isn't for a table, but a queue in line, the Resturaunt can EASILY plan around it. The CM on the phone may have just read the Rule Book a little to literally.

Don't sweat it.

When I was making ressies for Le Cellier I asked for five and told the ages. She said that they were booked for five, but since I had a toddler she would book for four and I'd be fine. Then, of course, I called back to change and THAT CM said, no, I had to book for 5. Anyway, I told her we just had four and I'll take my chances!!!

Have this deep, burning desire to have a cigarette!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OMG! I laughed out loud when I read this! :rotfl2: Thanks for the chuckle! Oh, and I've lived in the South all my life and have never heard that one either...love it, though!
