She had her cooking with kids show and she wasn't as "tight" as I normally find her. Anyone like Sandra? Is she an acquired taste? I've only tried one dish of her's and it was good.

I don't think I've even heard of her. What channel/station is her show on? :confused3

She's on the food network. Her show is "semi-homemade". She's kind of like Martha Stewart (IMHO), but will use a box cake mix. Her "tablescapes" make me feel very invalid as a decorator. :rotfl:

She's on FoodTV. I like SL. I like her practical tips. I also like the concept of semi-homemade cooking. I don't have time for a lot of cooking from scratch and her method is the next best thing! :)

I like her ideas, although that probably says more about my cooking effort than her. Her craft ideas make me nutty, though.

I do almost every semi-homemade so I truly like her show!! Her Halloween show was phenomenal! I look forward to a new Christmas show this year, even though I liked her previous ones.

I never heard of her either. Is she related to Sarah?

Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee.. :rolleyes1

I like her until the end and she does the tablescapes. I'm just not good at stuff like that.

I like her, in fact I have her 3 new cookbooks on my Christmas list!!

Semi-Homemade for Slow Cookers
Semi-Homemade 20 Minute Meals (give Rach a run for the money! ;) )
Semi-Homemade Cooking With Kids

I already have Semi-Homemade Cooking 1 and 2 and Grilling. :)

She uses a very "common sense" approach to cooking. DH enjoys her tight sweaters. :teeth:

Your poor cousin. ;)

I enjoy her but some of her tablescapes are a little over the top. Her cooking is good though!

I can't stand her. Everything is appearance driven and a lot of it doesn't look like it will taste wonderful. I'm all for using shortcuts and do so all the time, but can't stand her show. JMHO :sunny:

I like her and try and catch her show when I can.

God, does she ever love putting alcohol into her drinks/recipies...

I was actually thinking Sarah Lee, also. Or Sandra Dee (actress).
Or Brenda Lee (country/ western singer).
Too many names almost sound the same to me

Just found out a few weeks ago who Paula Deen is on the Food Network :)

Isn't that the truth. I was watching today for a bit. She was making a cake. She put rum flavoring in her cream cheese frosting. I thought rum.. :happytv:
Yep, that's Sandra Lee. She makes some neat things though.

I'm not a fan. Her recipes use way too many pre-packaged items loaded with sodium and preservatives. I'm a fresh herbs and produce type. I like her concept but it is too bad that she does not focus on 70% or 80% fresh and the rest 'store bought.' For example, I will make a cake from a mix, but I make my own frosting. Adding an extract to canned frosting does *not* make the frosting taste homemade, no matter what Sandra Lee says.

On the Halloween special, I believe, she scooped out the filling from a whole pumpkin pie and used the filling in some cheese cake concoction. Huh??? Why not just buy a can of pumpkin pie filling--definitely cheaper than buying wasting a pumpkin pie.

And the tablescapes are annoying. The food holders she uses don't look particularly stable. I'd imagine at one of her dinner parties--especially with the cocktail time beverages flowing freely--someone is going to end up with a lapful of food. :teeth:

My DH calls it, "the plastic barbie woman and her plastic food" show.

I have to agree. :rotfl:
