Help! I'm a DLRP Menu addict!!

Desserts... Something that I try to have with every meal, regardless of how full I am :goodvibes

I loved the pineapple ravioli at California Grill - 1 piece is basically 2 very thin slices of pineapple, with some mango mousse placed between them. You get 4, plus a small pot of basic and pineapple sorbet (nicer than it sounds!).

I thought this sounded really good..... Very tempting indeed!! :goodvibes

The steakhouse sunday brunch had some nice desserts, including a big cake, a lemon tart (very nice, but also quite sharp) and a chocolate tart (also nice).

I am selecting from your selections! Yum. DLRP should bring out a recipe book for the foodies so that these can be enjoyed between trips. Has anyone had the Cinderella's Slipper dessert? What does it consist of and what's it like? It appeals to me on so many levels! lol

The Cinderella slipper is now only on the kids menu at the Auberge Du Cendrillon.... Its a white chocolate slipper, strawberry milkshake, candy floss and a fruit kebab.....

I had it at Auberge when it was on the adult menu there- it was yummy but very chocolaty.

Me :thumbsup2

I had it without the cream and shared it with somebody - we managed to finish it all fairly easily. I've seen one with the cream though and that looks much harder.

It was a really nice pudding, although quite ordinary at the same time. Hope that makes sense :)

mmmmm i think we will get the cream and share it with all of us. what is in it?

"Elvis - The King" (dessert for two) - Cookie, brownie of chocolate and white chocolate, vanilla, chocolate and caramel ice cream, chocolate and Annette's caramel sauce, whipped cream and grilled almonds.

Unfortunately, I don't remember how it all went together I'm afraid. I do remember enjoying it though :)

Yes, please tell us what's in it. I'm intrigued. Can't believe they put Cinderella's Slipper on a children's menu - you'd think the place was catering for kids or something. (joke);) I'll make one of my DD's order it and then make them share it with me.:rotfl:

Can you go to Ludwigs just for dessert?? I'd love to see indise but don't want a whole dinner there, maybe just an ice cream snack :)

The table service places are often funny about people going in just for a dessert/drink/starter.... It can be worth asking, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they said no.

Are you planning on eating at the Auberge???

Bob xoxoxox

I might give it a try - will be in the middle of the day during quiet season so we might have an OK chance...

Who me? Mon dieu, no. I couldn't afford it. I thought I'd read somewhere that they did it at Walt's?:confused3 I've read so much on food, it's all a blur.

They used to do the slipper at Walts but Auberge is the only place you can get it now ... unless it all changes again of course

Oh well, I'm sure I'll be spoilt for choice anyway. The slipper just looked so pretty and soooo Disney! I'm actually better if I haven't got much choice as I'm so indecisive about everything - I dither forever and then worry if I've made the right choice - which is why I'm going for the cafe Gourmand. There - decision made. I think.

I was just going to say that Walts doesn't do it anymore..... I think its a real shame. It seems the one dessert that everybody would love to try, but Disney just won't sell it!! :confused3
