DD6 has been talking about ghosting in class this week and has been begging me to start this in our neighborhood. I caved and told her we could do it tonight after dance if she was good today. Well, today is here. I have the treats and I have searched everywhere I know of online for a big ghost for the piece of paper that goes on the door of the person's home but can't find one. I thought my best chance to find somebody who knew would be here. :teeth:

So can somebody PLEASE send me the link to a ghost I can print out for this tonight? If you don't think the link will post you can PM me.

A very excited 6 year old little girl thanks you!! :goodvibes

What's ghosting? I'm not sure we do that here.

A project I used to do with my son was to get lollipops, white paper napkins and white pipe cleaners...drape the napkin over the lollypop and tie it at the "neck" with the pipecleaner: instant ghost. You can also draw a face on it with a marker, but sometimes we didn't even do that.

Have fun ghosting!

Thanks to all who helped! I found one on the site CarolG posted - those were great! DD had a ball doing this tonight. We were both laughing hysterically while hiding in the bushes and freezing our goblin butts off. :rotfl2:

DisneyBlonde, ghosting is when you make a little bag of Halloween treats and goodies, a large print out of a ghost, and a note (what we used is a poem and but you can write whatever you like or find things online) telling the person they have been ghosted and that they have two days to pass treats and goodies along to two other neighbors who haven't been ghosted yet, along with the note and copies of the ghost for their doors. You ring the doorbell, leave those three items at the door and RUN AWAY! You don't want them to know who ghosted them. :3dglasses

You can tell who has been ghosted by the ghost pictures on the front door. It is left there so that the neighbors know who not to ghost again and who still needs the goodies.

It really is fun and the kids get really into it! Seems to make Halloween last just a bit longer than the one night.
