Help! How do I open with Media Player?

I took video on my camera for the first time, and when I saved it on my computer it will only save it into a Quick Time file. I tried to open it with Media Player and I can't. I'm not computer literate at all, so I need step by step help. I want to burn my video and just can't figure out how to do it.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't think Windows Media Player will play Quicktime files. You will probably need to convert them and for that you will probably need new software. Try Googleing "converting Quicktime to Windows Media", I think you may be able to find what you need.

You can "try" opening up WMP and then dragging the video file into it.

ndelaware is probably right, but nothing to lose.
