Help! Computer virus plomedia

My computer has a virus. Plomedia takes over google search and redirects. I think I got it by visiting a website because I don't download or click on any email links. The computer can;t be used and my DH tried running 3 different antivirus software. They cant clean it up. He tried malwarebytes and I'm not sure which others. Any ideas on what I can do? If I do a system restore and go back a week,will that help?

A thread somebody on Computing.net started about plomedia suggesting using Hitman Pro 3.

I've never heard of plomedia or Hitman, so I don't know if it works.
