Help! Changing resorts midway through and pricing.

I've tried to look up prices on the Disney site, but I keep getting an error.

We are booked from Dec. 27th-Jan. 2nd at the Contemporary with the dining plan. I would like to extend our trip from Jan. 2nd to Jan. 5th, but move to a value.

Can someone tell me if I can get the 10 day pass and switch resorts part of the way through? Or would we have to stay at the same resort to keep those tickets?

Also, is it possible to price the rest of the trip? My inlaws have our reservation number and I haven't gotten it from them yet. So I haven't called. I was just gonna try to do it online.

You can purchase whichever tickets you want. They will be good for 14 days from first use (if you get the ones with an expiration).

Your dining plan would either start over if you bought one with the value, or be done at midnight of your checkout date.

Last Sept. DH and I stayed at ASMu with free dining for 5 nights. We had an 8 day ticket with that package. After the last night there we moved to POFQ, with a room only discount. That was 5 nights as well. During the second 5 nights we continued to use the tickets 'leftover' from the first stay. (we had them transferred to our POFQ KTTW.) We also could use the unused dining credits the day that we checked out of ASMu and into POFQ. The credits were good until that midnight.

As for pricing the trip, can't you just price out room only for the nights you want? If you want DDP for the second resort you will have to buy tickets again. Might make more sense to just pay OOP for that part of your vacation.

Yes, you can get a 10 day ticket with your package at the CR, and then switch to the value resort on a "room only" reservation and still use the first ticket.

If you want the DDP for the stay at the value, you will have to purchase at least a one day ticket for everyone for that part of your trip.

Almost...if we get 10 day tickets, do we have to get 10 day dining? Or is it the # of nights at the resort?

Dining is based on the number of nights at the resort.
