Help at Airport

I will be travel with my MIL from Orlando to Minn. She is on O2 24/7.She has a portable tank that she uses when not at home. We have order O2 from the airlines but she will need it waiting til boarding. At the Mpls we have 'Travelers Assistance' in the airport who can help us with getting it thru security etc. The airlines will put the tank in the hold empty but not full. Does anyone know of any kind of 'guest services' at the airport that can help us arrange this and some other things. I have it arranged at this end but I can't find out if they have such kind of services there or not. I would think that this is not the first time a person has flown that needed O2. Any ides or hints would be appreciated.

I would contact the Special Assistanc dept at the airline you are using and ask for their help.Most airlines have this dept. If they can't help they should know who can. Like you said you aren't the only people to have needed O2. Do you need to bleed the tank empty? How are you filling the tank once you arrive? Are you using a vendor that could deliver to the airport?

talked to NWA when I booked the flights. All they did was read off the rules from the manual. I guess I should call back again and maybe I would get a different agent who knows what they are talking about. We have made arrangements for O2 for when we arrive in MPLS. Someone will meet us there with a new tank from a vendor. It is just the 2 hours before boarding in Orlando we have problems with. I have read other threads where people talk about "gate checking" their chairs. Maybe we can do that with her tank. The tanks are easy to bleed just a pain. Will get all informed. Thanks
