HELLO ? MICKEY? ARE YOU THERE?It's me again, and again, and again.....TR STARTED 6/3

What a great Mother's Day gift for you Mom. Don't you just love surprising them with something you know they are going to enjoy?

I hope that you had a good Mother's Day and that you were able to laze around.

Thanks, Lisa---I think my mom really enjoyed it. Last evening on the phone, she was thanking me again, and saying that it was a memory she'd always have. Awwwwwww! :goodvibes

I did have a good Mother's Day---Hope you did too! :)

So since we are now less than two weeks from our trip, I figured that I better get busy updating all the past trips our family’s had at Disney World. I still have four trips to catch you up on!

After our trip in November/December 2005, we waited another 2 ½ years to make it back to Disney World. We planned to travel during our school’s spring break---March 17-23. This trip I decided to stay at my dream resort---the Polynesian! :cloud9: I wound up buying an AP for me, so that I could get the AP discount for the room at that time. Even spending extra for the AP, I still saved over $800 with the discounted room.:thumbsup2

We left on a Friday afternoon, March 16, stopped to spend the night, and then drove in on Saturday (3/17). We checked into the Poly-

We were given room 3904 in Tokelau and loved this location!

We had a view of the quiet pool.

IMG2861_229.jpg

We headed to Magic Kingdom for a dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and then Spectro and Wishes.

BTW, it was St. Patrick's Day---that's why we all have on green! :thumbsup2

Sunday morning at breakfast, found us having a first---Our first time to eat in Cinderella’s castle.

While there the couple sitting at the table next to us had a proposal! :lovestruc (Just so you know, I waited until they left before I took this picture!)

After a busy day, we returned to the Poly for some relaxing.

On Monday, 3/19, we headed over to AK, where we braved some thrills-

IMG2698_102.jpg

And visited with some friends.

IMG2703_107.jpg

We returned to DHS that evening to see Fantasmic.

Tuesday morning, 3/20, was a day to visit DTD, and then enjoy dinner at ‘Ohana ---the first time we ever ate there.

IMG2729_122.jpg

YUM! :thumbsup2

IMG2732_125.jpg

:confused3 I can’t even begin to tell you what we did on Wednesday, 3/21, but I think we slept late, and swam all day. I do remember that we stayed at the Poly and watched Wishes from the beach that night, while I had some laundry going.

We had lunch at Le Cellier ---our first and only time to eat there.

Someone had a chocolate “moose”--- ;)

Friday morning, 3/23, we had some breakfast at Kona---I was dying to try the Tonga Toast! :) I had read so much about it here on the boards, so I was disappointed when I couldn’t eat half of it---Too much, and too sweet for me!

IMG2797_177.jpg

A kid’s choice-

IMG2796_176.jpg

We were headed to one of my favorite parks---DHS.

IMG2823_201.jpg

IMG2821_199.jpg

This day when we entered the line for the Backlot Tour, we were being counted as we headed in. When the doors closed, a voice over the speaker informed us that during this year of a million dreams, we had been selected to receive a dream. We all got lanyards with two pins. You can see mine and Kevin's in the next pictures.

We enjoyed lunch at 50’s Prime Time.

We spent a last evening at MK---We have to see Wishes just one more time on our last night. It's a tradition! :thumbsup2 On the way out of the park that night, I saw this:

IMG2858_226.jpg

And I thought to myself, “Yes you will!” :)

Love the Poly pics (our favorite deluxe); love the pics with the characters. Did you like LeCellier? My DH loves that "moose" dessert.

Love your pics from the Poly - such a pretty resort!

I'm afraid that Tonga Toast would be too sweet for me as well, I've had two breakfast ADRs there to try it, but I've cancelled them the night before because I keep deciding that I don't want to risk wasting my money

Thanks, Kathy. We really loved the Poly---we were definitely not disappointed by it. :goodvibes

On risk of getting flamed, we really weren't that impressed with LeCellier. I guess I had it so hyped up in my mind, and it just didn't knock me out. It was good, but not as impressive as I had imagined.

Thanks, Michelle---We love  love, the Poly! It's such a beautiful, peaceful resort.

I was so sad when I couldn't eat all that Tonga Toast. I am really just a raisen bran breakfast sort of girl. That sweet stuff just doesn't cut it for me that early in the morning.

I have missed sooooo much and fallen so behind! I just had the chance to go back and read through. You have had such wonderful trips in the past and I am sure the one coming up will be even better! I love looking at your old pics, you are super organized.

And I am jealous that you were able to go to the Princess Di exhibit- how wonderful!!!!!

You must be getting so excited, you are days away! Woohoo!!!:cool1:

Your Poly flashback is getting me excited! I can't wait to stay there again! I'm one of those crazy people that can eat the whole Tonga Toast.:rolleyes1 And I wonder why I gain weight while at Disney. :rotfl:

Michelle, I'm loving these flashbacks! I can't help but look at your girls growing up and think of my girls and how, if I blink, I'll be posting flashbacks like these before I know it. :upsidedow

No flames from me. I think every restaurant can be different for every person. We've eaten at LeCellier four times and had outstanding meals and service each and every visit. A lot of people love Whispering Canyon and we hated it and they couldn't pay us to go back.

Another great flashback! It's so neat to watch the girls grow.:goodvibes

Add me to the Poly lovers club!:lovestruc I only wish they had DVC there...

I got the Tonga Toast at Capt. Cooks last summer...ate most of it...I thought it was OK, don't know if it was too sweet or what but I probably wouldn't get it again.

It's so fun watching your girls grow up through your trip flashbacks. :yay: And I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourself at the Diana exhibit! :goodvibes

Thanks, Courtney. I really love looking back at my old pictures of our early trips to DisneyWorld. :)

Thanks, but I don't know about that super-organized part! :) I am getting very excited for my trip. I noticed that my ticker says days, and their getting very close to single digits!

The Princess Diana exhibit was wonderful! :goodvibes I remembered getting up to watch her wedding when I was 13 years old. I just couldn't believe it when she died. She was so beautiful
.

Another fun flashback! We feel the same way about Le Cellier....
Thanks, Mary. I guess we can be in the "I'm not so crazy-obsessed over LeCellier" Club. ;)

Your Poly flashback is getting me excited! I can't wait to stay there again!

You'll be at the Poly in just a little over a week, Alicia! I'm so excited for our trips!

It will happen before you know it! Appreciate every moment. :goodvibes Even though it's sad to think that they're growing up, it's also a good thing!

I think every restaurant can be different for every person.
I think you're exactly right, Kathy! :thumbsup2 I can't tell you how many times I've read a person say how horrible such and such resturant is, and it turns out to be a favorite of ours.

Different strokes for different folks! ;)

Thanks, Stacy. I love looking at older pictures of our trips when the girls were younger.

If they had DVC at the Poly.................................Well, I might have to sneak and make a purchase without Kevin's consent! ;)

Sigh. I love the Polynesian. I don't know how many times I've said that on these boards. haha I don't remember all the buildings we stayed in but we must've been in or close to Tokelau because I know there were a bunch of times we were really close to the quiet pool. Ahhh I miss it!

I hope the crowds are low and TP is incorrect! :goodvibes: Did the parks change at all?

I would love to stay at WL--someday I know we will. :thumbsup2 It is such a beautiful resort IMO but during the holidays, especially so! Too bad about the CP--crazy with all the rain. I am glad to know you were able to catch it at a later date. The Jr. Chef activity looks fun (but eew, like you said). Too bad it is not going anymore--DD would love it.

I would love the see the Princess Diana exhibit! What a fun thing to surprise your mom with for Mother's Day! I checked out the exhibitions information--can you believe the next stop of the tour is Grand Rapids, MI? I told DH and he said we would figure out a time to go! Thank you so much for mentioning this!! :goodvibes: I really enjoy Cheesecake Factory (turtle is my favorite).

Happy Mother's Day!! I know I am late in the wishes but we had a busy day so no time for DISing until this evening.

TFS all the great memories!! I cannot wait until we can say the same.

Thanks for the mini-trip update!! As a child I was really into following Princess Diana--I loved reading about her and seeing her impressive wardrobe. I bet the exhibit was amazing!!! How nice to be able to enjoy it with your mom and sister!!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!! And I really enjoyed your last flashback b/c it brings back wonderful memories of the Poly!! Can't wait to be back there in 12 days!!

:faint: You don't like Le Cellier :scared1:. I cannot believe you said such a thing :scared1: . Just joking, I do like it, but Dale can take it or leave it. We have an ADR there for our trip, but I am getting that itch to change something again so one of our ADRs may have to go down..........:lmao:.

I love your mini reports :thumbsup2. It is so much fun to relive a trip and to share the experience with people you know love Disney as much as you do :lovestruc:cloud9::love:.
