HELLO ? MICKEY? ARE YOU THERE?It's me again, and again, and again.....TR STARTED 6/3

Just started reading your trip report and I'm hooked! Congratulations on your new camera! We got one a little over a year ago and I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken with it. I look like a tourist everywhere we go. I've become the official photographer for the family. I still can't believe how much better the pictures look than our smaller digital camera. Have fun with your new toy!

I've been so bad at keeping up with my subscribed threads lately. Heck, I'm doing a good job remembering to update my own.

Congrats on the new camera! You know that you'll have to do a lot of "test" pictures for us to see before you go on your trip.

I am looking forward to the Disney pictures with your new camera.:surfweb:

I can't wait to use it! :)

Hi and :welcome:to my PTR! I know we will get a lot of use out of the new camera---We've always taken a lot of pictures, but as our kids get older, and are involved in more school activities, we need a good camera to capture all those memories!

 I hear you Lisa about keeping up with the threads. The other day I was trying to catch up after just missing a day and a half, and I promise you I sat for 2 hours just catching up on my PTRs---I didn't even get around to the TRs I'm subscribed to!

You know I will be practicing with my new camera a lot. We have a trip planned to Gatlinburg this weekend, so I will get in a lot of practice! :thumbsup2

I have seen you pop up here and there in some of the PTRs I read, so I figured I'd pop over here to start reading.

First, it's so exciting to have so many trips planned in such a short period of time. I look forward to hearing about them.

Next, getting new stuff is so exciting. I can't wait to hear more about the camera. I need to remember to take the picture-taking duties away from my DH this year. He has such giganto hands that there's always some sort of finger in the picture. It's annoying.

I look forward to hearing more!

With the addition of the DDP to our May reservation, I began to rethink my ADRs. After all, I want to maximize the value of the plan, so I began to play---I love Disney ADRs being online! :thumbsup2 I just love searching the Disney system for whatever restaurant at any time!

After making some new, and cancelling some old reservations, I have finally come up (hopefully  ) with my final ADR/park schedule for our May trip. So here goes:

:wave2:Hi Megan and :welcome: to my PTR. I've also seen your posts on other PTRs/TRs that I'm subscribed to, so I linked over to your PTR for a minute and am so glad to have a face to put with the name. There are a lot of pages for me to catch up with, but I'll try soon! :)

So it looks like you'll be at Disney the same time as a bunch of the rest of us! AND, BTW, what an awesome Mother's day gift---DVC !!! :thumbsup2

It is fun to play with reservations online. It just makes you feel one step closer to being there.

Since Trent is going to be down there now, there is a very slight chance I may drive down the week after school is out. I have to wait to see how we are going to be making up our snow days, but I should still have some free days. If I have enough money for gas, and Jill can't go, I may get brave and go by myself. I don't really know how my leg would take driving that far, but I'm willing to give it a try to see my son. If I am down there, I'd love to meet up with you at some point.

Hi Keala! Thanks for coming over to check out my PTRs. :)

We have been very lucky this year---all in all, we will have gone to Disney four times between last June and this May. I can only hope I haven't overdosed my husband on Disney ! :rotfl2:

That would be great. :) What week do you get out of school ?? (if you don't have make-up days on the end)-- You probably know (since we're on so many of the same PTRs) that there will be quite a crowd of us DISers there at that time. I think we may even have a MayMeet planned. Mary is organizing that. :thumbsup2

I know you are going to miss Trent, but I'll bet it won't take long before you and Jill are planning "extra" trips to visit him!;)

I don't know if Jill's place is open on Memorial Day, or if she has plans. If not, it could be that we could leave after school on Friday and drive halfway, get up early and drive on in Saturday morning. We'd have all day Saturday and Sunday, and then we'd drive home Monday with plenty of stops to break up the trip. I haven't discussed it with her yet, but I know she'll be missing her brother big time by then, so it's a possibility.

We are driving home on the Saturday, the 29th. DH did not want to stay on through the holiday weekend. Memorial Day is a big holiday we usually celebrate with him family, so I know he wants to be home for that!

That would be a great plan for you and Jill to drive down for a short visit with Trent (and Mickey, of course) ! :thumbsup2

Michelle, those ADRs look great! :thumbsup2 You've got some yummy meals planned! I'm excited to hear about what you think of Teppan Edo and Kona Cafe - those two are on my list of places to try on our next trip!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome! Thanks for popping over to my PTR as well.

Yep, lots of us are going to be there at the same time. Sadly, we will miss the meet. We'll already be on our way home. Yall have fun though!

DVC as a Mother's Day gift. Yeah! Bryan got some serious brownie points for that one.

OH MY GOODNESS I MAY GET TO MEET MEMOM AND JILL!!!! PLease, pleae let me know if you are coming at this time. I would love nothing more than to meet all of you!!

I'm all caught up!
Great Vera score:thumbsup2

I love all your ADR's! We'll be doing some of the same ones a month later!
This June will be our first big trip without the dining plan...we'll see how it compares. Our problem is that DS is 9 but eats more than I do so the kids meals just don't cut it for him.

Have you found the TIW to be worth it?

Your spring break trip is soooo close! I wish ours was a bit closer!!

Cute shirts! I want to pick up a few more Disney glasses on our trip--we got a set of four during our first trip that we just love. Unfortunately we are down to three now. :(

:woohoo: :woohoo: FOR DOUBLE DIGITS (since I missed the first dance because I was OOT) :woohoo: :woohoo:

Cute VB bags and the backpack--what a great deal!!

:yay: :yay: DDP and eating lots of yummy food!! :yay: :yay:

:woohoo: :woohoo: SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST HERE!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

a DSLR!! My dream :cloud9: is to get one at some point.

Great ADR list!! I love planning with the online system.

Thanks, Courtney! I'm getting hungry just thinking about all of it! ;)

We've eaten at Kona for breakfast, but never dinner and Teppan Edo will be a first for us. We've eaten at places like that around home, and our kids seems to enjoy it. I'll let you know what I think about them, and I'll take pictures! :thumbsup2

Ohh, too bad...maybe ya'll can stay one more day? :rolleyes1

Yeah, DVC would score some major brownie points !!

Great ADR's, none the same as us though :sad2: All that yummy food..

Oh well....we always have the MAYhem With the Mouse MEET! :)

Thanks, Stacy---I love my VB! :)

We have only used the DDP once in eight trips, and it was free, which made it EXTRA great! I'm hoping I will find it worth it.

We only got the TIW card this past December. We were there during New Years for my oldest daughter's birthday. I knew that her birthday dinner + a custom BD cake at 1900 Park Faire, would be expensive, and that the TIW card would half pay for itself during that meal alone. (We saved around $50 using our discount on that meal---the card was $75) :thumbsup2

I did run the numbers using my TIW discount to the DDP. I did come out a little cheaper ...less than $50....using the TIW----BUT that was figured without ordering desserts at any CS or TW resturants. So I figure it's about break even. I will use it during my spring break trip and then we will use it for one or two OOP meals during our family trip during May.

I think a lot of folks like the TIW card because you can include alcohol on it, which the DDP doesn't cover. DH and I don't drink at all, so that doesn't help us.
