HELLO ? MICKEY? ARE YOU THERE?It's me again, and again, and again.....TR STARTED 6/3

We were not planned to have Monday off, but the snow changed that plan. Originally we were to have teacher-in-service this Friday (tomorrow), but we will now go to school to make up one of our missed days. We were to have a school holiday next Friday as well...but we will be making up another day then. I had already planned to be in Gatlinburg that weekend for a church/youth activity. So, my kids or I will not be there. Too Bad.......:rolleyes1

Yes...getting closer to that Spring break trip. I'm getting pretty excited!

They haven't told us how we are making up days yet. I'm glad you are not going to miss your Gatlinburg activity, though.

Spring break is sounding closer and more wonderful every day. If Trent gets this new job, and if I have a free place to stay for a couple of nights, then I might be getting a day in Disney World after all. Lots of ifs there, of course, but I wouldn't be a real Diser if I didn't at least think about the possibility. ;)

We had the Dining Plan on our last trip and really enjoyed it. It was too much food sometimes, but it was fun ordering expensive things off of the menu and not having to worry how much our bill would be. ;)

I remember thinking after we did DDP in 2008 that it was too much food but I went ahead and added the DxDP for May. There is just something appealing about paying upfront then having the freedom to order whatever sounds good and not worrying about a budget. If I were paying OOP, I would tend to eat something less expensive and I love having "permission" to order the more expensive options.

Can't wait to hear what you have planned!

WOOHOO for DDP!! :woohoo: I love the convenience of being able to order whatever I feel like without worrying about the cost and fitting it into the food budget. Can't wait to see your new schedule!

I will love being able to order what I want or letting my kids order whatever they want without thinking about how much it costs. :thumbsup2

You won't have to wait long for the new schedule---I'll get it posted soon.

Yay for 30 days-less now :):yay::yay::banana::banana:

Hurray for the Dining Plan :worship:popcorn:::dance3:

I will have a new VB bag (my first) coming soon. My MIL bought me the mailbag in raspbery fizz

I know, Mary,......less than 30 days until my spring break trip! :woohoo: I'm so glad to be in the 20's for that trip. Hopefully, it will pass quickly, and then I can concentrate on counting down with all of you for our May trips!

Great bag choice----that's the same bag and pattern that I gave Elizabeth for her valentine's gift! Did you ever see the picture a few posts back? I think you'll really like it, and then you'll be hooked, like a bunch of us around here! :)

Woo hoo for adding the dining plan! I must say that I have always loved it -- it's such a nice feeling knowing that all the meals are paid for up front!

I'm pretty excited too, Jackie! We've never paid for the DDP---and only had it once when we went during free dining in Sept. '08. It was great then---loved ordering whatever we wanted!

Yay! for adding the DDP!! I too love having the meals paid for up front and not having to worry about ordering the cheapest thing on the menu!

I think we're really going to enjoy it, Michelle! It may spoil us to always wanting to add it on!

YAY for the DDP!!! I just hope you keep your Akershus day/time!!! ;)

That part is not changing, Becky! :thumbsup2 I really just rearranged some stuff for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

I'm glad I don't have to miss my Gatlinburg trip either. I teach at a private, Christian school, and the Gatlinburg trip is a youth rally sponsered by churches in our area. Since that is the case, a lot of our kids will miss that day. In fact, when I asked about being off, I was told that if teachers had already planned to go on this trip, we would not have to use any personal leave. So that's pretty nice! PLUS, when we return from that trip, 1. It will be March! and 2. It will be about two weeks until I'm back at Disney! :woohoo:

Maybe Trent's new job will work out! :goodvibes Of course he would need his mama to come down and help him get settled into his new home....and then you could just happen to visit Disney World, since you'd be so close! ;)

We've had it once, Carissa, and that was during free dining, so that made it even better! :thumbsup2 But I will enjoy letting my girls (who are Disney adults) order whatever they want, and not worrying about the cost, or making them share an entree!

Can't wait to hear what you have planned!

I love the way you put that, Katie----It's like having permission to order the most expensive items!

Hi Michelle! Yay for DDP! We love it too. I also like the idea of having lots of options and everything paid in advance. Makes things much easier. :goodvibes

Hope you've had a great weekend!

Oh good!! You had me scared there for a moment!! :goodvibes

Don't worry, Becky---we're still good to go! Afterall, we have to get Brent's and Kevin's picture made while they're dressed alike in their Bama stuff! ;)

:banana::banana: For DDP! We had it (for the first time) on our recent trip and loved it - so convenient :thumbsup2

I think it will work out better for our family this way---it will be great to just let the teenage girls eat what they want, with no fussing about prices!

Hope you've had a great weekend!

Thanks, Leanne! We've had a good weekend---busy, but good. :)

I know from the one time we had the DDP, that it will be so much easier and less complicated than trying to supervise what the kids order at resturants. Now we'll just say, "Order what you want---it's paid for!" :thumbsup2

Well, I am super excited, and have to share my news. Kevin and I had not exchanged Valentine's last week, because we had decided to buy a DSLR camera as our gift.

We went to some stores this weekend, and looked at the few models we had narrowed it down to after doing some research. We found the one we thought we liked, but the store was out of stock. That was actually a good thing, because we really needed to think about it. We came home and looked at an online camera store (one my sister had actually ordered her camera from). We found the camera we were wanting and it was $90 less than in the store. :thumbsup2

So......... we ordered it earlier tonight. It will be here Wednesday! :woohoo: I am so excited!!! I can't wait for it to be here, so I can start playing with it and learning how to use it.

BTW, we ordered the Canon XSi. Just 26 days until I can use it at Disney!

That's my camera! Don bought it for me for Christmas a year ago (2008). I love it!!! Are you reading Brook's TR, I can't remember if I've seen you over there or not? Anyway, that's the camera that she has as well. It's a good one, I think you'll be happy with it.

Oooh, how exciting about getting the SLR!

I'm so glad to hear that you love yours, Michelle. I like to hear that from people who have this camera. :)

I am reading Brook's TR, but I didn't know what sort of camera she had. She has some great pictures, but then again so do you. :thumbsup2

Hurray for a new camera!!! Very exciting!!:banana::banana:

Yes, Mary, I'm pretty excited. After reading so many of ya'll's TRs and PTRs, I was inspired to get a really good camera!

Hurray for a new camera and just in time to take wonderful pictures on your trip!!!

I know, Jackie... :) ...I can't wait to use it on my trip----just 25 days until spring break with Mickey!

Oooh, how exciting about getting the SLR!

I'm pretty excited---can't wait to open that box, when it arrives this week! :woohoo:

Yay for a new camera!!

Thanks, Amanda! and YAY to you---getting married this week!!! :yay:
