Heath Ledger's funeral to be protested

They showed up at a funeral in the town where I work. A soldier was being buried and the Phelps clan had vowed to show up, but oddly failed to appear after a massive showing by the Patriot Guard. Great guys, people were trying to give them $$ to help defray expenses for their trips and they would not accept it.

I had mentioned a military funeral here today - well, it turned out there was a large showing of Patriot Guard members and a no show by the hate mongers!!!! Thank goodness the family had peace! As long as the PG is there to shield the family, I am all for it.

If anyone is interested in learning about who Fred Phelps is and how he came about to be the sick evil man he is today there is an article written by a jounalist, Jon Bell. It lets you in on what went on in that house, how the "church" came to be, how sickeningly and horrible the children and his wife were treated. It truley opens your eyes into who he really is.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which considers the Westboro Baptist Church a hate organization, has another interesting article about how this group really has the city of Topeka held hostage.

Thanks for this link. I haven't finished it, but it is fascinating, and terrifying. I didn't know this sick ******* came from MS, just an hour from my home. And he still has family there. I'm going to have to do more research. I'd love to know what messed up his brain when he was a teen. His sister says she won't tell anything until he is dead.
