Yeah, how on earth was that enough time to notify family? Not only is it tragic for his family but to find out from a fox news alert would be utterly shocking. (that's an understatment.)

I doubt they did. I think technically daughter Matilda would be next of kin so Michelle Williams would have been notified first.

This is such huge entertainment news that I doubt any agency would have sat on it. I'm sure the big NYC media outlets are monitoring 911 or have police sources. Unfortunately that is the nature of the business. Sure you can be the 'good guy' and wait but all that means is that someone else breaks the story before you. Sure people may think 'wow that was really respectful of them' but they'll be thinking it while watching your competition.

I'm so sad. Very shocking news. He was one of my favorite actors. I loved him in 10 things I hate about you and Casanova. The new Batman movie is going to be sad now. My heart goes out for his baby girl who will grow up not knowing her father. Very, very sad.

We recently had a death in our home, it took 3.5 hours for the paperwork and body to be removed, so I would suspect it to take AT LEAST that long.... although how on earth they will do it with dignity I have no idea

THe news station I'm watching is reporting that it was MaryKate's apartment, but that they don't know why he was there...just staying there, had a relationship with her, or what.

As I said, I have no idea how they will be able to do this with dignity unless they close the street down, and then you're still going to have the news helicopters I bet & I'm not even there to figure that one out... how awful. Perhaps there is a garage under the building, that will bring some privacy, but still.....
