Headaches/motion sickness.....

these posts back, I don't sound like a picture of health do I?

Well you eat oatbran and drink lots of water so you're doing better than the average person in this day and age. :)

Yep similar here, I can do fast or straight up and down but not round and round or upside down :lmao:

I had a problem with my ears a few years back, they felt like they were blocked all the time. Not wax. I had grommets fitted but they did not help. Think my problem with the rides has got worse as i have got older but always had a problem with round and round even when I was really young. Reading

same as me - i love the up and down roller coasters, but nothing that goes round...and even nothing that does a barrel roll (like RNRC - can't do that one either...also can't do EE....but i can do ToT thank god :) )

the ear thing doesn't really have to do with health....it's just the luck of the draw....those of us who won't be able to be astronauts....

i don't think there's anything that can be taken against the spinning ride illness.....the only thing that works is staying off them :)

i also can't do any of thoes big fancy virtual reality games at disney quest...
i did them all the first time we visited and barely made it back to the hotel alive....had to lie down on the ground waiting for the bus, then on the seats.....didn't think i'd make it back to the room from the bus....needless to say, haven't done any virtual reality ones since then...

Well I guess I should count myself lucky then, I did EE a few years back and loved it. It's quite a while since I went on RNRC but didn't have a problem with that either at the time....

Just nice to know I am not alone IYKWIM :thumbsup2

Thanks :goodvibes

drinking plenty of liquid... its hot out in florida...

i would also recommend using Panadol for the headache as Panadol is ibubrofin aswell as paracetemol which is great for migrains and strain headaches... should clear that up..

i always take a travel pil before flying.... and drink plenty on the plane.

try and buy a few packs of lucazade energy tablets and take one from time to time in the parks as this will keep ur blood sugars at a steady level all day...

no offence to any americans but... in the dis alot of stuff is smothered in sugar and sugar has been removed from alot of products in the uk so it may be that sugar is causing the headache too...

those are my suggestions lol

Just another wee thought to throw into the mix...

Make sure you wear your sunglasses and / or a hat to shade your eyes. If you're screwing your eyes up in the wonderful, bright, Florida sun, that could be giving you headaches too.

I'm not from the UK but the title of your thread caught my eye as I have had more headaches in the last year or so and have been researching the topic. Mine are more of the migrane variety but I have found lavender and peppermint essential oils very helpful. I rub some behind my ears and on my temples if I start to feel something coming on of course it is a bit smelly.
