I have reservations for Tier 1 of HDDR. I am pretty excited and know my 4 year old will love it but at the same time I am a little concerned about the 2 year old lasting the whole time. If she started to freak out or whatever, is there somewhere I can "go" with her, or am I trapped there in the middle of it all with a freaking-out 2 year old?!
Starting to panic a little bit!

The restrooms are actually outside of the hall, so you could make a break for it pretty easily, take a little break outside, then return.

Have no fear, I think your two year old will love it. Even tho she may not understand any of it, its so distracting with everyone singing and whoopin it up that she'll have a blast.:thumbsup2 And the other thing, its pretty loud and a "fun noisy" in there, that you really don't have to worry about a thing, just have a great time!!:)

You can do what I do (which is actually rarely a good thing...) and check out the videos on Youtube with your little one. Sometimes if it feels at all familiar, they'll do better.

I agree, I have been doing the same thing with my 2 year old. I have been showing him videos of Fantasmic! and other character shows/greets to see how he would react. So far so good and he gets pretty excited. Of course its different in person, but it still may help!

As stated, dont panic about it. The last thing the HDDR is, is a nice quiet place ;). LOL, there's a chance you could'nt even hear her lose it if it's at the right part of the show. But it is about a 2 hour dinner / show, so you may have to take a break, but IMO, the time literally flies by, so I bet they will be fine.

Worst case would be they will make her be part of the show :D :lmao:

As mentioned, the rest rooms are actually outside of the hall. That's where I would head. Worst case is to just leave the hall entirely until the two year old calms down. Disney is not going to make you stay inside with a crying kid.

Don't panic about it.

Thank you so much everyone - I feel a lot better.

And GREAT idea on the youtube thing. It's funny because I have been doing it for the two girls for the movies we don't have - like Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland - because we'll be dining with those characters - but I didn't even think to look up HDDR. That will totally help my 2 yr old because it is the "unknown" that she doesn't tend to like. She doesn't even like new DVDs or anything until she gets used to them.

A word to ease your mind - naptime. Make sure the kids and the adults get their afternoon nap before going to the show. Works like a charm!!
