We are coming up on our 90 day make and it looks like you can make reservations for these rides at the Fort. We will be in cabins for Thanksgiving and following weekend do we need reservations? And is there a fireworks ride? I thought I heard a rumor there was.
I am looking for how it all works. Its our second time at the Fort but the first time was years ago and we stayed with our parents, this time we are the parents. I can't wait to explore it with the kids.

Which ride would you guys recommend? And what times do they go?
Boy I am a bundle of questions....Thanks for any help you can give me.

I highly recommend the carriage ride. We went about a year and a half ago and had a blast, they take you through the different loops and depending on the route sometimes you go back on the trail towards the Wilderness Lodge. If you can take a night ride, it will be even better!

We went on ours during Thanksgiving as well, and you'll get to see all the lights in the different campsites, and if it's cold out, man, it's just great.

The night we went, it was freezing out, but they have nice wool blankets that they give you that you can bundle up in, let's just it was rather romantic, my wife loved it!

I would recommend reservations, you don't NEED them, but you'll have a much better chance of getting a ride if you book it. Then at least you won't have to worry either!

How about the Haunted Hayrides in October? We were thinking of taking one on 10/16 (arrival day), but it seems very inconvenient (and un-Disney) to get tickets for these themed rides. Any suggestions?

The Haunted Hayrides are really a lot of fun. Not only does it put you in the Halloween spirit, but you get to check out the Headless Horseman while he chases you. There really isn't anywhere else in Disney that you can experience that, it's definitely something you should check out if you're interested.
