Hawaiian Airlines

I’m looking for advice from frequent flyers who fly from the west coast to HNL. How low have you’ve seen the cost for a round trip Hawaiian Airlines flight from LAX to HNL in the first week in October. I’ve been tracking the cost of flights for a couple of months and today I found a roundtrip for $517. Should I wait longer or grab it?

Wait, October is the slowest month of the year, and prices are dropping this year.

We fly from the San Francisco area. I aim for $400 or under and have always gotten it outside of school breaks, usually 2-4 months before travel. It can be a game of chicken though, I get pretty antsy the closer it gets to 2 months before!

I booked LAX to HNL for the day after Memorial Day for $329. And that is busy season. I would think the prices should drop for October.
