No answers at all which just makes it more frustrating. Mono, strep, and flu all came back negative. She had a full panel blood work up done, but those results won't be back until Monday. Honestly, I doubt they will show anything more than a viral infection. She feels better, and is "only" spiking a temperature once a day and it isn't very high. I'm trying my best not to worry. Not easy!
Well, I hate that. And I was afraid that was the case since you hadn't posted. That's so frustrating. I hope she doesn't have a heavy week at school and can find time to take care of herself. At least you can stock her up on comfort foods when she heads back.
I don't blame her for thinking it's the flu shot. I suppose with that sort of timing I would think the same. I've gotten one for years and never had a reaction, but everyone is different so you really just never know. You have me wondering about my son getting one, but at least he's scheduled to get it at the beginning of winter break, so he'll be home for another month after that.
I sure hope she's better soon.

The bright side is that she called you about it.

) woke up early this morning with massive pain on her side. She tried to tough it out until the school clinic opened, but by 7am DD had taken her to a walk in clinic. They were there for awhile and then they sent them to the hospital because they suspect appendicitis. Her mom is on the way (2.5 hour drive). DD hasn't eaten and is in shorts and a t shirt and freezing. She also hates hospitals with a passion. She had to skip a class this morning which she really did need to go to. She also has a stats test (her hardest class) at 2pm. She will make it for that since the mom will be there by that point, but I am guessing DD will be a bit on the stressed side again. I hope the roommate is okay and I hope DD doesn't just end up worn down again. The fun never ends!
Thankfully she's ok.
