:lmao: :rotfl: My 90 y.o. FIL used to carry around a "hanky" - basically used for the same thing. Made me want to hurl! MIL kept after him and he's kicked the hanky habit.

OMG...I forgot...my grandparents used to carry hankies, too!! For Christmas and bdays....they'd ask more new hankies!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Now that is sad.

Shel.... I understand I REALLY DO.... :goodvibes
you just want to jump up and down and scream and yell
YOUR BLASTED SHOE IS RIGHT THERE DORK :rotfl: :rotfl:

but you have to stay the nice calm mommy and explain things like how remembering to brush your teeth is an important thing :rotfl:

Sounds like our sons would be best friends.... but it would be REALLY scary getting them together... :rotfl2:

Oh...DS 17 is that way, too....but he can remember all the lyrics to a fave song, anything about his fave computer games....etc...anything that matters to HIM.

Hey, I have one of those too!!! The 14 yo is a pain in my a$$!! He has no real disability ADD but not terrible, just really laziness and he needs to be kicked. I worry about him all the time. If he doesn't develop a work ethic soon he is not going to get very far after high school.

I worry....it is tough because he has one yr of HS left and he has no direction yet. He is getting ideas, but I see such potential there and it might not be used. He is such a smart, nice kid but he needs some real world training.

OK...I am off to walk w/my neighbor...I will be back - be good!!! KEep it clean (ish) - and I will help you KELLY!!

Is that like a fried twinkie? there are people who deep fry twinkies and oreos.... CHAN can you imagine having a deep fried oreo.... I mean take some of the worst most unhealthy food and ...HEY I GOT IT LETS DEEP FRY THESE BAD BOYS :rotfl2:

A lot of the horse shows we take our customers to are at state fairs. They will fry ANYTHING at those events. I have seen twinkies, oreos, candybars and soda  I don't even drink soda, but I almost got the fried soda once just to see WTH it was. :scared:

Guess what I just got??!

Speaking of kleenex and hankies - Did anyone else see poor Brooke get kicked off AI last night. She needed a box of them! And at the very end when she walked to back of the stage by herself after she was done singing?:confused3
I would have gone straight into the arms of David Cook for a little "consoling"!:lmao:

I missed it!!!! ugh!!!!!!!!!!!

YUMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! How about a reduced fat Oreo? I saw a Sam Brown Scotland show where they deep fried MARS bars!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I would love anything deep fried....except fish ick

OK I am leaving to walk...must go...my neighbor is going to be torked if I don't move my butt awya from the computer.

In my head I am screaming "Your f'n shoe is right f'n THERE! Are you F'N stupid? Carp!"
But my best mommy voice says "Matt, look on the landing by the door, maybe it is under your backpack."

They would be great together, I bet we could lose them for days in the Magic Kingdom!!! They would come back knowing exactly how many steps they had walked...but starving hungry because we forgot to tell them it was OK to use their snack credits...can't use them unless mom says...

OMG YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the PPP night he actually Stumped the CM trivia master they had walking around the parks :rotfl2:
They could also tell us exactly what year each ride was made, who invented said ride, who designed the vehicles in said ride, how many hidden mickeys in each ride, and would take great amounts of time to explain it to us the rest of the trip :rotfl:

OK, maybe, just maybe, I signed up for a planning video in my maiden name and sent it to my parents address and used my Dis email not my normal one :rolleyes1 This is the same email that got the 20% off for my December trip, but I called and transferred it to my REAL name so I guess they think I haven't booked a trip...;)

The fat fairy visited me last night. Or maybe it was the bloated fairy. Either way, my stomach today is sticking out so much, I feel like I've got a small child tucked inside my pants.

You ladies were chatty last night. I was just sleepy. Went to bed at 9 pm and did not wake up until the alarm went off at 6 am this morning. Caught up on my beauty sleep .... except I got the sleep, but lost out on the beauty part.

Speaking of budgets -- this columnist for the Wash Post every year has a cheapskates contest, and readers write in with their best money-saving tips. The winner one year suggested reusing Kleenexes. Yeah, you read that right. The day I set aside a snot-filled Kleenex so I can re-used later is the day you can all come to my house and beat the @#$%^ out of me.

Linda

I hear ya sister, somehow I get fatter while I sleep! :lmao:

OK about reusing stuff. The klenex thing is gross. My grandmother lived through the great depression and totally reuses stuff. She is very wealthy but you would never know it! She reuses tin foil and plastic butter tub. She washes out plastic baggies and even washes those plastic dixie cups :scared1: I respect WHY she does it, but I guess to me, growing up I spent a lot of time at her house b/c my parents were work aholics, seeing tin foil that is almost black and looks like swiss cheese just isn't useful anymore.:rotfl: You don't even throw scraps away in her house, you put them in the scrap bucket and they become compost. The best part about her house is when I eat at her house and I need butter I always end up pulling out a tub of left over limas or spaghetti sauce , her fridge has tons of those little tubs full of left overs and finding the one with butter in is is like winning a game of hide and seek  Gotta love that Hippie Nana:hippie:

I do save my coffee grounds... I am a HUGE coffee addict.

I throw them around my gardenias and hibiscus bushes.

Coffee grounds are some of the best organic fertilizer!!!!

I have an empty coffee jar I use to store them and every 2 days I take them out and sprinkly the coffee all in my garden :rotfl: DH thinks I'm a freak but I have a pretty garden!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOVELY and to think I was going to go yank the suitcases out of the attic and start getting things together for our trip today :rotfl:

i guess I am going to the GF nakey:rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone!!

Brooke I just bought a beautiful Hibiscus Tree with a braided stem. I love it but I don't know how to take care of it. I had three flowers bloom for a couple of days and now they died. Do I snap them off, like I do with my geraniums?:confused3

What else do I need to know???:flower3:

Hib blooms only last 1 day so I like to use my clippers and get a clean cut.... but you can dispose of the bloom once its faded. I have 20 hibs ... my addiction
I have a really pretty one blooming this morning...its a baby still ina pot but had a huge bloom. I should take a pic

OK ladies, so if Channing can ask about tipping the W/D guys I figured I could ask my question.......

I am going to the Podcast meet and greet, was suppose to be a live show but since Bob passed away they are not doing a show for a while. I am stumped at what to wear..... I was thinking about actually looking nice, like a sun dress and some cute shoes. I don't want to look over dressed, I just like to look cute, I "dress up" to go to walmart. So what do you think? I have a podcast TV shirt but I mean it seems a little weird wearing it to meet them :confused3

Mandy: The Pooh Parking lot! I completely forgot about that!! I knew there had to be parking in that area. I HATE walking all the way to the Stroller Parking lot by Small World. I got my stroller towed there, happened twice!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Brook: I'm all for my VS panties too! Congrats the fairy visited, 5lbs is a lot overnight. You can get the rest off in time. Just get off the computer and on to the treadmill :rotfl2:

Annette: Are you still in the cabana war, or is it over? Did you win it?:rotfl:

Well, off to go grocery shopping again. I just went Monday! My DS1 can pack it away. He eats more than his 4 year old brother! :rotfl:

Mare

Mandy,

I don't think that you would be overdressed in a sundress and cute shoes. I would probably wear something like that if I was able to go (not that I am a fashion guru by any stretch of the imagination). I always think that if YOU feel comfortable in what you are wearing, then it will look great on you.

Also, not to be morbid, but as it will be a more solemn occassion now since it is sort of a memorial service for Bob :( I think the sundress would be very appropriate, but whatever you choose will be fine

Mandy- I would go with a sundress and cute sandals. The uppity uppity in me belives you are never overdressed....just better dressed! Have fun!:)
