I DVRed it. We were watching Star Wars. DS8 and I are gonna watch it tomorrow. I have tosay my son will be 9 on Monday and I cant believe it !!

My daughter is turning 8 in a few weeks...it is so hard to believe. Times goes so fast. I told her the other day I wanted her to be 7 forever!

oh hey...did anybody watch taht new Sam Brown WDW show last night?? Or am I the only loser home on a Fri night?!:rotfl:

It was ok...kind of skipped around too much for me. I like other WDW shows better. DH was bored. He didn't see anything to thrill him into grabbing the phone and booking a trip.:rotfl: I didn't expect it, but it would have been nice.:wizard: I can always hope.

Your not the only loser, I was home too!!! I agree too much jumping around!! It still was nice to see WDW while waiting!!:goodvibes

I set my VCR (yes, I said VCR, no DVR here :sad2: ) and forgot that I never changed the clock for daylight savings time... I guess I have to wait until 4-23 to see it :(

I am taking a quick brake from Cleaning out my Closets, and let me tell you I have things from before I gave birth to my DD11. I am not a saver, I don't know how this happened. I had LEATHER pants in there!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am now on hold changing dining reservations (3rd change..) Did I mention that waiting time is a bad thing for me? LOL!!!

so where is everyone today? I am doing dining and watching sports. Big shokcer there.

I cleaned my house, and went to a candle party (partylite), shopped a little, now Im reading Disboards, watch NYY & Bos baseball with my son, going to go read my book The Other Boleyn Girl. Hows that for a sunday?? Thank God my sons baseball game that was scheduled for 8pm tonight was cancelled due to field conditions. What about that it is about 35 degrees? I really didn't feel like freezing my **** off tonight, plus my son getting sick
If you like to read consider the book im reading...its soooooo good! I was hesitant to read (I really dont like historical fiction) but decided to give it a whirl. I cant put it down! :yay:

I know its still early but the airfare is really bad for my trip in November. After this week with American, I have a feeling its not going to get much better :sad2:

Does anyone read the sunday paper??? Did anyone see the picture of Matthew McConaughey for a mens cologne? WOW HOT HOT HOT!

Hi, guys....well I just watchd Rock of Love 2.....Glad Amber won. :confused3 I thought she was kind of gross with the no underwear thing & the crossing and uncrossing her legs in the restaurant....but that's just me. The Amish prude.:rotfl:

I had a really nice LAZY day. Friday and Saturday were hectic with the kids being schlepped around and having friends over etc. Today was heaven. :goodvibes Sat around and read all day.:thumbsup2

Dawn, I read that book, too & lots of others by her. I am no longer a fan. Her books are kind of dark and I don't like that I find no characters likeable. I had the worst time getting thru one of hers (it's still sitting on my bedside table and I can't remember the title!) and i am not a quitter so I kept going til the end.....i was so wrong to do that.:rotfl: I need to be able to relate and empathize with the characters. I don't read her anymore. I LOVE LOVE LOVE historical fiction - that was my addiction way before I found the DIS, haha, and I am trying to get back into it because I have the time and i LOVE IT......right now I am reading a book by Kathleen Harrington (a little trashy but not much;) ), but I have been glued to it from the moment I woke up. I love those kind of books.:goodvibes Jean Plaidy is a good one - and she writes under a couple diff names -although I haven't read her in a long time, but she is more along the Philippa Gregory route. I have my favorites. :lovestruc I LOVE to read.:thumbsup2 Hope your son feels better.

Have a great night, all!

PS....Vanessa - I saw your thread re the Disney florist Xmas trees.....we did Xmas in 2006 at the GF. I ordered the tree and it was GORGEOUS. I take it out every year. It was expensive and i choked on paying that cost, but I have no regrets. It is beautiful, smelled so pretty, and we just got so much enjoyment out of having it in our room.....it's a great souvenier now, too. I can post pics if you want. I've had them up before so people are sick of them.:rotfl: The trees last year looked like Hanukkah trees....they were blue and silver themed for the year of a million dreams. Not my cup of tea in blue and silver. Nothing against Hanukkah, but I like a Christmassy looking Xmas tree. :upsidedow Wonder what they'll do this year.

Good Morning ladies!

My DH flew out early this morning for a business trip so i'm all alone for the next four days :sad1:

I had a crazy Sunday! We went to church, had Sunday lunch with my family, and then ran back home to pack the kids for a overnight trip to grandmas and took them out to my MIL and FIL house and then we took off to Disney!

WE had a lot of fun and guess what? Prince cheap-o backed out! :yay:

After my sisters date he said he was going to call her but never did and he called during church (he knew she would be singing and not have her phone) and left a message saying he forgot he had plans and could not go. :woohoo: We were glad b/c my sis was so turned off by the date and wanted to run away fast! :rotfl: He is a looser and she's not looking back!

Anyways, my MIL was suppose to keep my kids till 5 tonight and then she backed that up to noon when we dropped them off last night. Well she called at 7am saying her shoulder was hurting and I needed to come pick them up when they got up. :scared1: I have not packed for our trip to my sisters recognition and I had a hair appointment that I have to reschedule :sad2: I can't stand my MIL, she does this all the time to us and I should know to not plan anything in these "breaks" she gives me. At least DH and I got to spend time together last night! When she kept the kids for our anniversary trip we had to come home a day early! My kids are so good that's not it, DH says it b/c she smokes and does not get to chain smoke when the kids are there and she gets moody! Whatever!

Have a good day ladies! I'm off to pick up the kids........ :scared:

That has to be the best thing that could have happened!!!:goodvibes

Your sister sounds like an amazing women and I am sure that an amazing guy will come around!!! :flower3:

My flight for Christmas are still expensive. The AA tickets went to over $1000:scared1: I am going to keep looking...but getting a little worried.

Gotta love that McConaughey....very, very good looking man! I am going to have to get some of that cologne for hubby.

Thanks Channing. I looked at the one from Peggy's site and it is only 2 ft and I think the WDW Florist is 4 ft. It is a expensive but I think I would get more use out of a 4 ft tree. I hope it is not blue and silver again....I do not like blue for the holidays. I take it they only have one to choose from??

I am not going to worry about the cost. Last night we had friends over and my husband was talking about going to WDW for Christmas and how he will miss Christmas morning with the presents under the tree. He then said that the girls are not going to understand Santa not brining as many presents etc. So I decided that gave me the go ahead to go all out and make this as magical as possible! (I will never tell him the tree cost $400 plus dollars!)

Vanessa it was just gorgeous. It was worth it IMO. THe funny thing is, I thought my DH would have a hissy fit if he knew how much that tree cost, so I ordered it and didn't even tell him how much. Well when he saw it he was amazed and he GUESSED how much it cost because it really looked like it was worth it. It was sooo pretty. It is at least 4 ft tall and very full. When I ordered in 2006 there were 4 or 5 choices. They were all super pretty....I was disappointed in last year's versions...I think maybe there weren't nearly as many choices or only one. I just rememeber the blue/silver theme and thought YUCK. :sad2:

Here's teh tree....it had lights, ornaments, the characters, and giant lollis on it. If I can ever talk the kids into a Disney Xmas again, I'd definitely order a tree from WDW Florist again.:thumbsup2 I love Christmas and I always go all out on the decorations so this is MY souvenier.

I think we are going to have to go SWA....UA and AA not cheap!

What is that book by Kathleen Harrington (i like trashy!:rolleyes1 )! I dont know if I will read anymore of Philippa Gregory books...this one is sooo good though. I really want to see the movie now. I dont think King Henry really looked like that in real life ;) nor Anne or Mary Boleyn ;)

I am at school...very quiet 'cause no students just teachers P/T conferences today! Getting lots of work done and getting to read Dis!:upsidedow

Here's a photo of last years blue tree. Blue wouldn't have been our choice but looked good all the same.

We ended up giving ours to Mousekeeping (but kept the ornaments) as we couldn't get it back to the UK in one piece

Thanks Channing! I will probably go with the WDW florist and then I know I will be able to use it for years to come in my home.

We may have to fly in on Dec 25th and I know it will be hard to get anyone else to deliver a tree that day. I emailed the GF and they said they could have it up in our room before we arrive...I am hoping so. I am not too excited about leaving Xmas Day but this way we can spend Xmas Eve with family without upsetting anyone. My FIL will be 81 this year....so I am having a hard time leaving before Xmas. My husband feels the same way so we may compromise and leave Xmas morning. His sister and their family are joining us on Dec 28th so that will be nice. We are planning on spending the first 3 days with just our family enjoying the GF and activities at the resort.

I sent the limo service Southern Elegance an email this weekend to see if they even would do transportation on Christmas Day. I thought this would be quite a suprise for the girls and a great way to start off the holiday.

Hope everyone is having a good day. The IL forecast for this week looks wonderful!! It has been soo hard to even get in the mood to do anything with this weather. I thought I would at least have some flowers bought etc...but it has been way tooo cold!

I happened to discover her while I was at the library looking for a different author....they just had ONE of her books and it was a Scottish historical romantic fiction. I lvoed it!! Anyway....I wound up ordering all I could get my hands on from ABEbooks.com and they have not disappointed me. They take me away and I get so into the characters. I am reading "Dream Catcher" now. It's really good....I am enthralled. Not too trashy, but there is action, adventure, and romance. (DH always sees the covers and laughs, but they are NOT as trashy as they seem!!! I think those covers are meant to grab readers becasue some of the sleeziest covers are on books with the least smut in them!!) I have a lot of favorite historical romance authors. I started with Victoria Holt when I was about 12 yrs old and I've been hooked on hist romance and hist fiction ever since! :goodvibes

Oh ya...I heard the movie wasn't so great - the P Greggory one. Ya,,,I picture King Henry MUCH differently than portrayed int eh movie:sad2: - more like a gross fat womanizer slob....haha...There is just something too dark and creepy about her books for me. The put me in a bad mood I think. :rotfl: Sometimes they keep me glued just to see what nasty thing the characters will do next. It was "The Queen's Fool" that was my last P Gregory book....Just couldn't find anybody in it to relate to or empathize with...they were all so hateful and sneaky mean.

TTFN!! have a great day! I have Jo home sick...bummer.

Channing :)

That sounds like a great plan....that's really nice your SIL and fam will be coming down, too! Just be super prepared for mega crowds that week. We left Dec 27 and basically we were so ready to leave at that point. It was unreal....more so maybe than our Easter trip.

The tree was set up and lit when we got to our room. I think the kids will really love it. Mine were so happy to have it. You can also order a gingerbread house to be in the room.

Enjoy!! Ya, the weather looks great this week....I can't get into planting flowers yet. Once the trees are green maybe but it's still so brownish out here.

Jo has the Book of Pooh on TV....it sounds so cute. That TTFN was perfect. haha.

Channing :)

tinklvr64-

If my husband looked like that...I would never let him leave the house :rotfl: !
My husband already knows he is my favorite so if I bring him home the cologne...he probably will not wear it!
