So, hows your sisters date plans? Do we know where their going yet?:flower3:

Date Update: I just got off the phone with my sister and things did not go so well  First he was late and his car was messy and stinky. Then he asked her the quickest was to get to Orlando from her house and she told him by the parkway (a toll rd.) and he complained about it costing 2 dollars so she offered to grab her toll pass. She said he talked all the way to Orlando (about 45min drive) and all she could get in was a "uh, huh" and a "yea" :rotfl: Then they get to the restaurant and it is a upscale Italian place that specializes in fresh organic ingredients, and remember he told her it was a "nice" place and she had to dress up, so he knew it was a pricier place. They looked over the menu and she said the waiter even went over the specials and the menu but he still wasn't ready to order. She asked him what he was thinking about getting and he said "probably a salad. You start at the top and it all gets more expensive as you work your way down this menu." What?!?! Of course it does dummy! So she said when the waiter returned he tried to take her order first but this guy ordered first and he ordered a $13 salad so she ordered the same. They drove almost an hour away, in dressy clothes and ate dinner at a nice place and the bill was less then $30!:scared1: She said when the waiter brought the dessert menu out she thought he would go for dessert but no luck! Then as she's eating the bread he mentioned that he loves their bread and always gets two baskets when he comes with his parents. So that's it he comes with mommy and daddy and they pay:idea: . She said he told her during dinner that he was "getting tired hearing his own voice" and he wanted her to "talk about herself." She said "well I've been waiting for you to breath so I could" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: She said then she started talking and no less than a minuet later he cut her off and started yacking! They got back to her house and he put in to driver her H3 and she said no but he could look inside. HE started giving her a hard time and almost begged and she told him no that it took her sixth months to let her sister drive it and so he had to wait too! She even plays hard to get with her car! :rotfl: The he started coughing and almost choking and he went in her house for some water and then looked very intently at all the pictures and asked a lot of questions. She walked him to the door and he said "well are you going to shake my hand or do I get a hug?" She hugged him and he was off.

He's 22. She 25. He is immature, cheap, and talks too much. He still wants to go to Disney with her so we get to meet him Sunday, but she's pretty sure that will be that last time they ever go out.

Mandy, you mean she's still gonna let him meet you all?!? After that date???? I think he just wants to date her Hummer!!!:lmao:

:scared1:  :scared1:  :scared1:

There are no words for that story!!!

The only thing I have to say is hopefully she turned over a new leaf and is ready to start dating regularly and this horrible date will lead her to Mr. Right!!

She feels obligated b/c he has a arranged a comp ticket from a friend that works there.

Oh yea, I don't think I mentioned that the salads were not entree salads. They were those little fancy salads, and she does not eat salad. She was starving and was on her way to a drive thru as we were talking!

Ok ladies, I have to do somthing to stave off the boredom of waiting. Our trip is 4 months away and I am ready to start packing now...I want it to be TIME TO GO!!

So...I'll share the long version of my plans...the way I talk there is never a short version anyway! :rotfl:

The crew for this trip is:
Me, obsessive planner extraordinare.
Hubby, keeper of the gold card.
Brat child, 15 and full of attitude (secretly excited to go.)
Disaster child, 14 and all about the food and high functioning autistic.
Lovey, the sweetest 8yo son ever made.
Monster baby, almost 3 and almost evil (but she looks cute in pig tails..none of the boys would let me put them in pig tails :confused3 )

So....
Drop off the Excursion with a friend so we skip long term parking (big truck, small spaces...big scratches!)
JetBlue Portland,ME to MCO (why pay more when I can pay less?)
Limo to GF (why take a free bus when I could pay for a limo?)
GV room at the GF (why pay for conceirge?...we won't use it enough.)
Order a custom GF b-day cake for the 3rd b-day girl (What's $100 for a cake...right???)

You may already be noticing some inconsistencies to the spending habits in this family. You see, hubby makes the money and I like to spend it. BUT...hubby likes constant luxury and I like a good deal. So. GF on a 40% code and cheaper plane tix but on non-stop flights make everyone happy. The rest of the spending is me, he is not a spender, but he lets me go, and I love him for that. :lovestruc He is happier to not know the price and just to have what he wants...no problem, I am so willing to help with that.

We all seem to like food and Meals planned are:
Liberty Tree Tavern, Kona Cafe, Teppan Edo, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Marrakesh and Chef Mickey for the whole family.
1900 Park Faire without the teen boys (there is only so much PRINCESS they can take!)
Narcossee's without any kids...hubby does not know the kids are not going. I am using Kids Nite Out. That will be a nice surprise for him.
I am taking the little one to Cinderellas Royal Table for breakfast one morning. Mostly because I have always wanted to eat in the castle, and what the Queen wants the Queen gets. :lmao: (OK, I really had 2 TS credits left on the plan and this seemed like a good way to use them...but it sounded better the other way.)

While the Princess and the Queen eat in the castle the boys have plans too. The younger prince is off on a Pirate Cruise. Not to be left out, the older boys and King Tightwad will be renting a boat. I will have to twist his arm on this (because I will not be there to hide the price board from him) but with the boys pushing and me pulling he WILL get to the marina and get them out on a boat.

Then I decided to get selfish! I am going to Epcot early one morning to take the Segway around the world tour. I can have a spa day near home but segway is just not happening in Maine. My boys are green with envy but too young to go. If I could lie for the older one I really would but I am afraid they would ask for ID. He will be 15 and 3 weeks...not quite 16...in fact, not anywhere near 16 at all. Oh well, I will take lots of pictures to torment him with later.

I am trying to fit a long pool afternoon into the schedule so we can rent a cabana...because it would be fun. But I think I have jammed every day full to the point of having to skip a princess nap if we get a cabana...and one thing we NEVER do is skip a nap with the princess (she turns into an evil princess without the nap! Puts Aurora's dear step-mother to shame!)

I am still looking for more things to stuff into the plans, I don't stop looking until we get there and then I forget most of the plan and just enjoy the ride (literally.)

OK, this has gotten long enough to be it's own pre-trip report....Have a beautiful day and since Cinderella has moved out with the prince I now have to go clean my own house.

:flower3: Sheli

He's a loser and needs to go. :sad2: I am so sorry for your sister but a guy that doesn't try to impress on the very first date is so not worth keeping around. Cheap is bad..... Bye Bye. I wouldn't even waste time on Sunday with him but at least WDW is a fairly easy place to lose some one.:rotfl:

Sheli, I enjoyed reading your plans. Sounds fun!!

Thanks Channing, I liked your Limousine idea so much I had to borrow it for us. I even booked with Southern Elegance, I'm not to be a copy-cat but honestly, they are the only service with consistently good reviews. All the others seem to have "issues."

4 months seems like a long time, but I know that it will fly by.

Oh, and thanks for your help on that other thing, still haven't heard back on the final decision...hopefully next week. Snarky is a good word for that person.

:) Sheli

Mandymommy4, your sister should tell the guy that plans changed and no one is going to WDW for the day. Can she save the comp ticket for a different day (with a new friend?)
She really needs to run screaming in the other direction from this guy.
Just my 2 cents...unsolicited...but honest.

What she said!!!

Sheli- I am with you...I have all the details but 8 months to go. It is sooo hard waiting for a WDW vacation. I hope you have a great time!!

Mandy- I would tell your sister to run as fast as she can away from this guy. Men are usually on their best behavior for at least the first few dates. If he is only going to buy a salad now...she will lucky to get a CS meal at WDW.

I do hope you go for one reason...so you can share your experience with the rest of us!

I read your post on losing 3 pounds! Way to go!

Hope everyone is having a good day! It is cold and rainy again today...will this ever end.

I know I was shocked when she said that's all they ate! I told her that we should just tell him one of us is sick and we can't go. She said that would not be nice.... I just don't get it, why would you hype up a place to a girl and tell her to dress up and then only spend $30? :confused3

I agree! But as I said earlier she is going to put us through his incesant talking!:lmao:

Exactly! I told her that it's only going to get worse! We were raised way to well for a cheap-o!

Thanks, I am down 4 pounds now!

Ladies, I think we all agree she needs to dump him and run away fast!:cheer2:

I do have to brag on my sister so indulge me! She is a victims advocate for our Sheriff's dept. She works with anyone who is a victim of a crime or family of victims. For instance she will work with a rape victim from the time she gets called to the scene of the crime, go with her to the hospital, and all the way through supporting her at the trial. A few months ago she was nominated by her boss for a state wide victims advocate recognition in the state of FLA. She was chosen as one of three advocate that would be voted on by her piers and a panel of lawmakers and the office of the attorney general FLA. Well, She was voted the number one advocate in FLA! We are leaving Tuesday to go to the state capitol where she is going to be honored at a ceremony at the capitol by our governor! Big sister is so proud her baby girl and thought I would share since you have all chimed in and shown so much interest in her love life:rotfl:

Have a good rest of the weekend and if we do get to meet prince cheap-o I will let you all know how if goes :rotfl2:

Good evening friends!

Mandy, i love the "prince cheapo"! If the shoe fits...... Does he even know how much one day at WDW will cost?:rotfl: I bet he bails at the gate.

That is just so wonderful about your sister. Congrats!! That sounds like a tough and trying job. SHe must be a special person to be able to be so successful at it.:thumbsup2

Good evening friends!

So Chan what did you buy?

Hey, Kelly! Hi! OK....I bought this Dermatological skin stuff (I got prodded into it - at least it was $30 and not $150....I was nervous)....it's a little kit with cleanser, moisturizer, toner and some scrub stuff which I don't think I will ever touch. :scared1: My skin has been extremely itchy and sensitve today....I used the cleanser and moisturizer last night and this morn ...my eyelids ITCH like crazy and it's weird. :guilty: I think some of the stuff went into my eyes while I slept!! I didn't put it near them, but I bet is smeared.....I am tellin ya I should stick to my Noxema and water and just water at night routine....all this crap on my skin is not doing me any favors just now.:scared: That lady talked me into a SKIN CARE routine, but I think my basic nothing routine is best for me.:thumbsup2

As for the BM stuff....I also bought a liner brush and i love it - I thought it would be really hard to use, but it's so not. It's a breeze. I use the darkest gray in the meet the stones kit Praline sent me. ....I bought "hint" which is a blush color with a bit of sparkle so it's not matte, and I bought the handi kabuki brush. I moved up from "medium" base to "medium beige" which she said is more my color. I already owned it - yay. Also she used the "feather light" min veil on me and I own that too (but forgot until she used it) so it's all good. :thumbsup2

Chan :)

oh hey...did anybody watch taht new Sam Brown WDW show last night?? Or am I the only loser home on a Fri night?!:rotfl:

It was ok...kind of skipped around too much for me. I like other WDW shows better. DH was bored. He didn't see anything to thrill him into grabbing the phone and booking a trip.:rotfl: I didn't expect it, but it would have been nice.:wizard: I can always hope.

Hi GF Friends...I am trying to catch up on all of the chatting, too much school this week! I am really burnt out today. It is yucky rainy cold here in Chicago.:scared:

Channing and Kristin...how fun meeting each other for Ulta fun:) :)

Sheli...I love your plans! I know what you mean about waiting..its too long
Mandymommy4...out of the loop on the date story/have to go back and read ;)

Going to catch up..talk to you later ;)
Dawn

Waiting stinks. I am not a patient person by nature. I am sure the Disney florist and Peggy's Sweets-and-More web-sites will keep me company while I wait...I don't even have gifts ordered yet...oh, I am going to be in trouble....
:rotfl2:

I would have hung myself:rotfl: I enjoyed it b/c the kids started asking when we were going to DL :woohoo: I really want to go but now that the kids know about two other parks DH is gonna have to give in! I think the part about Napa Rose got him lured in a little! :thumbsup2

DH is leaving early Monday for a business trip so I got to go make sure he has packed enough underwear and socks..... they never grow up!

I DVRed it. We were watching Star Wars. DS8 and I are gonna watch it tomorrow. I have tosay my son will be 9 on Monday and I cant believe it !!
