:rotfl: Channing, for my Feb. trip, I had piles and piles and piles of clothes for DD and me, and ended buying a new suitcase the day before we left and then having to pay $25 for it on SWA on the way back because it weighed 63 lbs. :rotfl:
After that experience, I have vowed to pack light from now on. I too am envious of those one small suitcase people who look so calm and collected. I am always sweating and dragging bags through the airport. :rotfl:

We are flying to San Antonio next week and I have out one very small suitcase for DD and me. I am going to try very hard to put everything in there and allow one huge purse for myself and a small bag for DD's doll she brings everywhere and Leapster video games ... I will let you know how it turns out ... We are only going for 3 days. :rotfl:

Btw, I am already planning Hannah's outfits for our Dec. trip that may get pushed back to Feb. :rotfl:

To those of you with stomach issues, I have them as well, but not from a gallbladder problem. After my C-section and probably due to my weight gain as well, I had HORRIBLE problems and also had to know where bathrooms were at all times. Zantac worked for me as well. Now that I have dropped some of the weight I have less problems, but it seems like since my section my stomach is just not the same. :confused3
What pleasant morning conversations!!!
Brooke, I am buying that photo editing software today.

Hi Ladies,

I didn't check in yesterday my DS4 had his first class trip to Carnegie Hall and I was a nervous wreck! They took the public bus!:scared1: The kids had a great time and came home exhausted since they missed their nap time.

You all have me worried about over packing in my new luggage. We needed new luggage and I bought two nice ones on close out from ebags. They expand and hold a lot of stuff. Now I'm worried I'll over pack and get charged the extra weight!!!

Doing good on WW, it's funny I wait all day for my 100 calorie hostess snack cakes after dinner. So in love with them!! :yay:

Still debating what restaurant to replace Il Mulino with. So mad their prices are so high and food not so good  Have to see where DH would like to spend Father's Day dinner.

Have a great day ladies. I'm off to dip pretzel rods in chocolate for DS4's class easter treats.

Mare

Andrea - Have a fun time on your TX trip!:goodvibes

OMG...I know the nice calm airport people you mean....THAT'S SO NOT US!:rotfl: :rotfl: I want to be them, too!!!:rotfl: Good luck with your little bag....I am too much of a pack rat....I put stuff in, take it out...add more....even my daughters laugh at me. I am bad. I hope you can overcome the urge to keep adding stuff!!!:rotfl2: It would make coming home and unpacking and laundry so much easier.:thumbsup2

We are the ones lugging our rolling duffles and it's every man for themselves....I told the girls htey are responsible for their own bag. It is not pretty. :rotfl:

I will have to try harder this time to leave stuff behind.:rolleyes1

Mare, that is so neat. Your life sounds so different from mine. I live in a rural area of a suburban sprawl, haha...but it's our own little corner of country. I can't imagine living in downtown NY.

Did you consider that new Epcot Italian place....tutta something??? You can read about it on All Ears. It's recieved good reviews....I think the only bad I can bring to mind is the cost...people are shocked by that. Not sure if the prices are up on All Ears, too & maybe they have some reviews. For really good dining, there's the California Grille, Narcoosees, Citricos - supposed to have a Mediterranean flare (OK did I butcher Mediter?)....We have had great luck at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, too....although that sometimes gets mixed reviews....then there's the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, too.

I have a really great set of RL luggage and don't even ever use it anymore because the luggage itself is heavy and adds up too much extra weight....I bought Eddie Bauer rolling duffles for each of us & we use those all the time now.....SWA has let my overweight bags go on the way to MCO when I sky cap check them.....the way back was always bring an extra duffle and load that up w/dirty laundry. We've been ok so far- had luck w/nice SWA employees I guess. ;)

Talk to ya later! Way to go on the WW!!!

OH! PS - Kristin, I have been meaning to ask you, did you catch Rock of Love last Sunday night?....I forgot Sunday night has all my trashy shows on :goodvibes and tried to watch Rock of Love2 LATE (like midnight) but it was a repeat of a show that was on a few wks ago....did I miss a new one or wasn't there a new one last Sunday? I did see Adrian (My Fair Brady) throw her pills into the Pacific Ocean. OMG...I feel sorry for any kid they might have.:rolleyes1

It was reruns last week (Not sure why though). I saw Adrianne and the pill thing too... that marriage is messed up enough without procreating :sad2: I missed Scott Baio too (Season Finale this week)

I need new luggage before this year's trip. I have some 29" on wheels, but they weigh about 15 pounds empty (and are only 2years old!!). But I can't have that kind of starting weight if we are going to try to use less suitcases this year (Lord knows I won't pack any less!!!) Channing, tell me more about these Eddie Bauer rolling duffles (this was what I was thinking to replace a couple of our 29" rollers).

Airfare is still crappy, but slowly coming down. If only UAL didn't have that horrible luggage surcharge!! I would book with them and be done with it since their fare is the cheapest before I factor in $50 additional pp for luggage...

I guess we are the calm airport people since we skycab. The limo drops us on the curb right next to them and it's over. We still put DS in the stroller and just have our carry on's to deal with (which aren't much). It's painless. (as for 1 small suitcase, those people have to be flying for only 1 day- I don't get it :confused3 )

Kristin

Have a great day ladies. I'm off to dip pretzel rods in chocolate for DS4's class easter treats.

Mare

You are lucky!!! Our school district has a ban on all treats in schools..too many allergies :sad2:

To those of you with stomach issues, I have them as well, but not from a gallbladder problem. After my C-section and probably due to my weight gain as well, I had HORRIBLE problems and also had to know where bathrooms were at all times. Zantac worked for me as well. Bought some today after all of you gals advice, thanks!! :thumbsup2

We skycab, too. Although the past couple times the lines for skycab have been really long, too, and it's so cold and windy out there. Sometimes DH drops us off....last time he couldn't get near the skycab line, so he put our luggage as near as possible and it was a mess. We are always a mess.:rotfl: He's dropping us off this time and then when he goes, he's going to park int eh parking garage and we will just schlepp our crap from the terminal up. I like that about Midway.

I LOVE the EB luggage. :thumbsup2 I love EB anything. We have several sets of the duffles. The largest are almost too large....I could certainly fill them more;) - there's room, but the stupid weight limit prohibits it. They are lightweight by themselves, very nice quality and I LOVE Eddie Bauer because they have a great return policy if there's any problem with the merchandise. I've taken them up on it before -not for the duffles, though. I have some rolling duffles that we've had for 8 yrs and they're still great & some newer ones. My only issue is that I had DH's surname embroidered on my newest set - the older just have initials - his are the same as mine so it works....but anyway...his last name is a Middle Eastern name. :rolleyes1 OUr bags get searched EVERY trip.:rotfl: :rotfl:

PS...I have an EB code. I am not sure when it expires but it's email8 for 20% off. If it doens't work pm me and most likely I can get ya another.

That is awful about the extra $50 luggage fee!!! :headache:

Thanks for the skanky Sunday night TV update.:thumbsup2 I have to watch it late because I sure don't want the girls seeing it.:rotfl: Hope Lost was a good one. Lucy and I had been watching that Moment of Truth show....it started off being on after or before? AI so we watched it. I had it taped, but now with the PERSONAL questions they are asking, there's no way she can watch it anymore. :sad2: It's getting kind of painful for me to even watch.

Happy Day!

good afternoon ladies
how is everynoe today
I still havent bought any more BM and mine is about to run out
I dont go out alot so I am not sure if its really worth the $$
:(
DH is rubbing off on me

I thought Lost was so good last night!!!

I can't believe Jin died, they had me to the end!!! I was wondering because that would make 7 survivors, counting Claire's baby!!

Does anyone watch the Big Give?

Lives4Disney

Great show to watch with your kids!!!

The show after Newlyweds(?) pretty funny, but not for the kids!!! I miss Brothers and Sisters!!

that moment of truth show BRUTAL
are people so hard up for $$

Ya, ya have to wonder......I felt so bad for the wife on this last one. After the show she didn't look like she wanted to be anywhere near her husband.....the dirtbag.:rotfl:

I am SO THRILLED!!!!!! :goodvibes Jojo's Minnie Mouse Pirate outfit showed up today!!!!  IT IS PRECIOUS!!!! All hems are finished professionally. I paid $80 for this outfit but it's worth it. It is gorgeously well made. She is going to SCREAM when she sees this!!!!! The skirt has two layers and the top has some semi sheer panels in it. Adorable.:cloud9: The ears don't show up so well in the pics, but they do in person.:thumbsup2

Absolutely adorable!!!

Hopefully that will help her get in the mood!!!:goodvibes

Thanks!!!:goodvibes I really love it.

You're RIGHT!!! It better put that rascal in the mood.:cool1: She was still moaning about the BBB. I am just so over the BBB. THey've done it since the DAY it started and been there about 8 times! :sad2: The BBB used to be a bit different....now they are CRANKING them out. I told Jojo I can do her hair with her hair piece, but she likes the makeup...we have that make up they send it home w/you. She is just being a PRINCESS.:snooty: :rotfl:

Mare, that is so neat. Your life sounds so different from mine. I live in a rural area of a suburban sprawl, haha...but it's our own little corner of country. I can't imagine living in downtown NY.

Channing, I'm on the Upper East Side, one block from the East River. No where near downtown :rotfl:

We have a weekend house in the country, so I know what you're talking about. The house is in the Poconos, PA. It's in a gated year round vacation community. We go up every other weekend, then I stay there for the summer with the boys. There's tons of activities for them plus DS4 gets to go to day camp this year :woohoo: We love the country life, it's just that 90% of my neighbors are New Yorkers!! :rotfl: I just miss Starbucks and take out from NYC. No one delivers up in PA!!! It's so annoying!!! We are very lucky, we get the best of both worlds. Country and city life.

Did you consider that new Epcot Italian place....tutta something??? You can read about it on All Ears. It's recieved good reviews....I think the only bad I can bring to mind is the cost...people are shocked by that. Not sure if the prices are up on All Ears, too & maybe they have some reviews. Yes, the thing with Tutto Italia is it's family style (huge platters). My DS4 is a very picky eater and usually won't eat what we're eating. DS1 is the "meatball" and will eat anything :lmao: The California Grille we've done years ago on our first wedding anniversary. I wouldn't take MY kids there yet :rotfl2: Too fancy for them. So is Narcoosees and Citricos. Flying Fish is a good idea! Never ate there. I was also thinking Spoodles, DH likes it there. Why do I always forget out BW restaurants??:confused3

Thing is my DS4 would rather be out in WDW than eating in a restaurant. He's been getting better lately. But I honestly can't blame him at that age. DS1 lives to eat, DS4 eats only when necessary.. big difference when dining!:lmao: The majority of ADR I booked (and I made 2 per day for 10 days!) are geared towards DS4. Lots and lots of character dining and "fun" dining (Sci-Fi, Teppan Edo etc..) Whatever will entertain him so we can sit and have a nice meal. Spoodles is loud that might be a good one. I have to run it by DH.

Gotta go jump in the car and go pick up DS4 from school. My stroller has a flat!!:rotfl: Can you believe it??? DH said to me this morning, your stroller wheel is on the floor!!! Need to take it up the block to the Bike shop to fix it but now I can't use the stroller to go pick up DS4 from school. Gotta shelp the little one in the car! Ugh!!:rotfl:

Have a great weekend ladies. :lmao:
Mare

Mare!! :rotfl: What do I know?!?!:rotfl: I have never been to NY...DH's brother lives there so we have a good reason to stay away.:rotfl: I have no clue - downtown, uptown, east side west side.... To me, you live in a big city.:goodvibes Very cool and very different from me.:)

That's great about your country house. :)

Bummer about the stroller!:guilty:

I understand PICKY eaters. I have Jojo. She lives on Mickey mac & cheese at WDW and it gets nasty. Last time after our trip she needed to go to the Dr. because she was so constipated....TMI I know.:rotfl: :rotfl: She is now on a daily dose of Miralax....she'd kill me if she knew I put this out here.:rotfl2: She needs to stop being such a fussy eater though.....her stomach issues ruined (well that and other things, haha) our last trip.

Good luck trying to choose the restaurant. We haven't eaten at Spoodles since 2003 so I don't know if it's good now or not.

Talk to ya later -
:)

SWA has let my overweight bags go on the way to MCO when I sky cap check them.....the way back was always bring an extra duffle and load that up w/dirty laundry. We've been ok so far- had luck w/nice SWA employees I guess. ;)

At the New Orleans airport, the skycap didn't weigh the bags, so I thought I was good to go and put even more stuff in the suitcase for the trip home. Whoops. I told the woman at MCO they didn't charge me on the way here but she wasn't buying any of it. :rotfl:

I agree about living in NYC. I lived in Boston during college and always imagined I would be living there or in NYC for the rest of my life. Somehow I ended up back here in New Orleans enjoying suburban life. I actually drove in to the "city" the other day and felt like I was in another state. I stay in the suburbs too much. Does anyone watch the Housewives of New York show that has started coming on Bravo. It's great. :goodvibes

Love love love LOVE the pirate Minnie outfit. Fabulous.
ETA, your daughter probably wouldn't appreciate the Miralax info. Lol. But I know kids like that. It's pretty common at DD's school. Kids go to the nurse everyday for their Miralax (or similar alternative.) Her school has a chef and a pretty awesome lunch, but most kids don't eat it. Hannah eats everything and anything though!

Does anyone watch the Housewives of New York show that has started coming on Bravo. It's great. :goodvibes

Yes, Jill lives three blocks away from me!!!:) When they showed her get into her Bentley I couldn't believe it's MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!:drive: I've never seen her around, but now I'm looking!:)

I can't really stand Alex and her "metrosexual" husband Simon who loves to shop  I did not need to see them on the beach in his banana-hammock and her in her thong!

Ramona's outfits are hideous! She should listen to her 12 year old daughter, she has better taste!!:rotfl:

I like the Countess, I think she's the only one with some class :flower3:

I really liked the Orange County ladies much better. :goodvibes

Mare

Bummer about the stroller!:guilty:
I'm so lost without my stroller!!:headache: I think I have to purchase another tire. The rubber just slide right off the wheel its completely flat! For the price of this stroller it should come with some kind of free lifetime service!!!:rotfl: DH has to look at it this evening.:confused3

Good luck trying to choose the restaurant. We haven't eaten at Spoodles since 2003 so I don't know if it's good now or not.

We ate there in 2006 and it was good, not fabulous but a decent meal. DS4 was asleep in the stroller it was January, the place was empty and we parked him in a quiet corner and ate a nice meal. What was good about it, we picked up DS4 a slice of pizza first at the pizza window on the BW. Right after he ate, he passed out and we were right there in front of Spoodles. We likes Mediterranean food. I told DH it was WDW's take on Greek food and he bought it :rotfl:

I've selected all 18 restaurants we're dining in, I'd like Father's Day dinner to be about DH. So I'll let him select it. So if the meal stinks, I can't be blamed for it!!:thumbsup2

Have a good evening ladies!
Mare

I wanted to jump in after lurking for days. I was on the other thread and wondered where everyone went! You guys are definitely bad for my shopping habits. I'm all set to check out the Bare Minerals when my makeup runs out and I'm shopping like a crazy person!

Channing - your outfits are so cute! I'll try and post when mine come in. I have a couple of pirate outfits and two dresses. Can't wait! And I ordered some hair bands with princess bows and they are wonderful. I also bought a charm bracelet and earrings for myself with minnie dot beads. See what I mean? You guys are bad!

You have all given fabulous advice. I've checked out flip flops and luggage because of all the suggestions here. You are all going to make my trip even better. We leave in 30 days. Woo!

Tracy

I agree with everything. I like the Countess best. I will keeping watching because it cracks me up. I am cracking up at your comment about the banana hammock and the thong. :rotfl:

Welcome, Tracy. :goodvibes

I just ate at Red Lobster for the first time in about 5 years. It will be at least another five before I go again. I have no idea why we thought it would be good. :confused3 It wasn't and I probably used all 35 flex points for the whole week. :sad2: Skipped dessert though which for me is great!

Have a great evening, everybody!
- Andrea

Tracy, HI! Glad you found us.:goodvibes Thanks about the outfits!! I can't wait to see your stuff, too.:) It is PRALINE!!!!.....she is the bad one!:rotfl: :rotfl:(but she's fun:thumbsup2 ) She got me started on all this custom outfit stuff. ;) Usually I buy the girls hair bows and custom tees. I went a bit overboard due to her.:goodvibes It's fun though.....but now I have so much stuff...more than I need for an 8 nt trip.;)

Andrea, I hate when that happens!!! I guess just try and be "good" tomorrow. I just ate a slice of carrot cake.:rolleyes1 I was good all day and then went to pick up Lucy from a bday party and they offered me my FAVORITE cake....couldn't pass it up. I will try and keep myself reined in tomorrow.

We get Bravo...I just don't even know what number it is! I should find out and check out the show. That sounds like something I'd like.:goodvibes

Have a great night!
