Hey great pictures all....keep them coming....

Blueskies and Here Comes the Sun we are waiting for yours...we got M&P, Shel and Kels...we need your picts!

Good morning all:)

Dawn looks like we are the early birds today!!

Everyone else is still sleeping but I am on laundry patrol:rotfl:

I do my best to be quiet when anyone is sleeping but here too if DH or either DS is up they are NOISY...and if all 3 are up together who needs an alarm clock:rotfl:

Dniece and I will be trying to post our pics soon(between the two of us we should be able to figure it out...)we took alot too...

so far everyones have been terrific!!!

Kelly -love your pics-your guys are adorable:)

Channing a snake in the pool-YIKES-I hate them too!!

Praying for the NOLA gals and their families too ( and for everyone in that region)...Hope they are safe and sound...

Have a nice day everyone:flower3:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

M&P, Sheli and Kelly - Great Pics!!!

BluesSkies and Herecomethesun whats up???? Lets see some Pics!!!!

Morning gals. It was nice to sleep in a little and not worry about school.

Channing~ I hate mice and snakes. I do not blame you for not wanting to go back into the pool. YUCK!! We have a small creek behind our house and I will not even weed the flower beds because I am scared to death of snakes. I have not seen any since we moved out here last year but I am sure it will happen. :scared1:

It seems all of my friends who are pushing 40 are starting to get divorced or have affairs etc. (not Evie though!!:rotfl: ) ) I just do not get it and I do not think they realize how hard it is on your friendship. Our friend who got married Saturday night is 41 and his new bride is 25 and guess what...we found out she is pregnant already! My other close friend just started brining his new girlfriend around. She is growing on me. Dh and I stayed up last night and talked about it. It is just crazy.

I did switch my Dec ressie back to GV. (I know I will miss that Deluxe RPC but I think I better start at the bottem and work my way up) I just could not pay the RPC price and I am just hoping on my waitlist at BCV for the two nights over New Years so I can use points instead of cash. I really tried to talk myself into VWL but the girls have a few activities planned at the GF and it will be so nice to walk out of our room to take them. We are down to 4 nights at GF also instead of 5 and that saved us a little. If we left a day earlier the airfare is still $100 more pp. I already paid almost $500 pp :scared1: I asked for marina view and I doubt highly there would be any upgrades during Xmas. Can you see the fireworks from the marina view rooms???

Have a great day. I am going to try and get a few things done around the house and just enjoy the last long weekend of the summer. (so depressing) Dh will be getting in the field in a week or so and then the craziness of life begins.

Morning~ Happy Labor day! Any other moms out there think we should get like a card for going though labor? LOL! :lmao:

Have a great day! I am glued to CNN worried for our friends homes. :sad2:

Not sure if you can see fireworks from a marina view balcony.. it looks like you might be able to in Conch....but we had gv in SL no fireworks viewing from there and we just walked out of the building on the marina side and walked up a little towards Conch and there they were:)

Also one night we viewed them from the porch on Narcoosees which included the music~ very nice:flower3:

Hope that you get all of your nights and in IMHO 4 nights at GF are better than none...:) I'm planning on a split stay for our next visit too.... I like the idea of it seeming like two trips in one...

Off to do....what else more:laundy: :scared1:

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! Another great day :sunny:. It felt so good to sleep in yet another day, although other than my one ds that just got up, the other one and dh are still sleeping....so kinda quiet around here still :goodvibes.

Ugh...Poor B & A. I know they are safe, but I hope their homes are, too.

Well it was a beautiful day here. I didn't swim at all though - my kids did - but DS found a snake in our pool!!!!!!!!!     I am sooo sooo soooo terrified of snakes I cannot bring myself to step foot in the pool now. Good thing it's the end of the season.:guilty: I didn't step off the back deck. I need to week my flower beds but I can't do it now.:sad2: We've lived here 10 years and this is the 2nd snake in all that time.....BUT they are building a subdivision behind our woods and last fall snakes were out all over the roads my neighbor and I walk on. I get the shakes just thinking about it. I think due to them digging or something the snakes are displaced.....it's DIS gusting.:scared:

YIKES on the snake :scared1:. I hate em too.....I wouldn't dare go back in the pool either :sad2:. We rented a vacation home in Orlando last year with my whole family (13 of us ) and we had one of those little visitors right inside the pool area....I was freaking out :scared:. My 2, the nephews, and my niece all thought it was cool but I couldn't wait until someone got it out of there because I was going over the edge :rotfl:......while standing on a chair the whole time :rotfl:. Snakes are just gross!!!!!

Me too on the snakes...and mice....I am deathly afraid of them!

We live kind of in the country (not much country anymore because it's getting so built up now)....but in the 7 years we've been here, everybody seems to have or have had mice somewhere in their house, but I have yet to see one (knock on wood ). Dh tells me all the time..."oh, they're here". And I said as long as I don't see one, I'm fine.....but once I catch a glimpse of one, FORGET IT :lmao: :lmao:!!! I also run for the hills when it comes to bees and wasps....I'm such a chicken .

I hope all of you enjoy your last day of a beautiful long weekend :flower3:. And good luck to those of you that are just starting school tomorrow :teacher:. And to everyone else......back to the old grindstone of getting the kiddos up at such an early hour :scared:.

Have a great day all :)

Deb

BlueSKies - Can't wait for your pics :goodvibes. I need something to keep me going because my ticker isn't moving fast enough :rotfl:.

Blue Skies...don't worry thatyour pics are repeats of the ones that have been posted this week. I, for one, enjoy all the pics...even all at once! Plus I found my family in some of them,...that was neat!
Can't wait to see your pics!!! :)

Did you have your big party outside? There was a large group at the end of Sago singing patriotic songe to the fireworks one night, and I wondered if it was you. (I know you said a party, not sure if it was big and outdoors. :) )

I haven't tried RPC yet, I really love the GF and I am really afraid to pick up the price of the trip by that much more. The food doesn't interest me at all, but the location (main building) does. I always stay GV, because to tell you the truth I am more people watcher (I love the kids, too cute), I'd rather walk around the property to see the views, or sit and have dinner or lunch with a beautiful view!!

One day I am going to live on the edge and try it, but I know there is NO going back!!!

Morning everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your labor day and yes Mandy we should get a card for getting through labor :rotfl2:

Mickeynut...OMG I'd be right there with you if I saw a mouse in my house...UGH...freaks me out just thinking about it. I live in the country too and I know there are many mice out here along with many other things I'm sure. Dh actually puts mouse traps in the garage but we've never had any in the traps. I don't like snakes either but that doesn't seem to be a problem here thankfully. I'm allergic to bees so I'm also running from them when I see them :rotfl: Your area is really building up out there isn't it? My cousin just built a house on the outskirts of Valpo (off 250W if you know where that is) and I can't believe how much that area is building up. I remember driving on 250W when it was nothing but fields. He lives far though. The only thing close to him is a family express  At least there is a grocery store in front of my subdivision...that's the only thing in the town I live besides McDs and gas stations but at least I have that to fall back on :rotfl:
Enjoy your day everyone...it's a hot one here in Chicago...suppose to be in the low 90s :sunny: I'll be in the air conditioning though doing :laundy:

I, like Mandy have been glued to the TV watching the hurricane come ashore...hopefully not too bad for our LA ladies.

Vanessa...as long as you are at the GF, RPC or not, it will be great!!!! As long as im at the GF im in heaven!:cloud9:

It is a hot one here in Chicago today, i feel guilty for laying low and not doing anything, but its my labor day too..Right??? I dont even feel like going to the pool...im a SLUG today!
skjj2009 where are you in chicago???

I really hate mice and since we have moved to the country I have only seen them in the garage and normally my dog or our lovely outdoor kitties have them in their mouth. Totally gross. When we lived in town I actually went to stay with a friend when we had a mouse. I know funny but totally the truth. Lexi was a newborn and it freaked me out having a mouse with a baby in the house. I have gotten a little better with them but not much.

Thanks for the positive words on GV. I know it is going to be great and even though I really wanted to splurge on RPC because of all the positive reviews and since it is our Anniversary I just felt too guilty to do it. When you put it all on paper it is a lot of money. GV will be great and this way I can still stay at the GF. I am still paying more than I ever have for a room at WDW due to it being the holiday season. I wish they would come out with a code but I know I am dreamin.

I need to get busy around here but I agree on celebrating the Labor Day with no labor.

Morning all. I am sitting here watching I LOVE LUCY on TV Land.:goodvibes Not sure if it's a marathon or what but it's been on one after the other.:rotfl: I can't move so I brought the laptop to the kitchen tv. LOVE that show. That's why I have a DD named Lucy. I couldn't bring myself to name Jojo Ethel though.:rotfl:

Ya...I have had my eye on the Weather Channel too...during commercials. I hope they are all safe and their homes, too. Am I wrong or does it not seem as bad as they were predicting it could be? I hope that's the case.

DH is with us today and we are all going swimming....he will deal with any disgusting stuff in the pool. My hero.:lovestruc :rotfl:

OMG:sad2: ...ya..nobody knew about their friend's girlfriend. They heard he was bringing a "friend"....and then they were all jawdropped shocked when they saw who/what the friend was.

ANybody going to post more pics?!?!?! I would love to see more.:goodvibes

I saw a mouse run right across our family room one evening last winter!!! He just zipped straight across while I sat on the sofa watching TV@!!! I couldn't believe a mouse would be THAT bold!!! eeeek!!!!!!!!!! And my dog just laid there calmly and watched it. Makes me wonder how often she's seen that.:rotfl2: EEEEWWwwwww.... Furry things do not bother me as much as nonfurry though. But I prefer NO mice!

Well....have a great day all. Enjoy!

Channing :)

Vanessa...yes..I forgot.:flower3: I heard you switched but you know what? My FAVORITE CM is not going to be there during Xmas. She gets to go home. :thumbsup2 She is the one that made our Xmas stay fabulous. That's why I am not even moaning & jonesing to go over Xmas this year. The other RPC CMs are great, too, but not the same.

AND...quite honestly out of all our RPC stays that stay was the one I came home with feeling regrets including sticker shock. The whole place, parks and GF were packed and it was a "different" crowd. The nasty kind that make the CMs bust their tails and stress everybody out. We paid more/nt over Easter but something about the Xmas crowd and the vibe was just "off".

I said it before....If I didn't book RPC I would stay GV. (which I did do )The GVs are very pretty and you're still at the GF with all it's amenities without the buyer's remorse. I did have that after our 9 nt Xmas stay. It was great, but it felt funky at the same time. Also, maybe being away from home during Xmas played a part in that feeling...not sure. I talked to several other Dissers I knew that were at the GF in rpc during that time and they had the same feelings.

Channing

ok..i just turned on TVland....LUUUUCY IMMMMMM HOOOOME! Love Lucy! and Brady Bunch!

Mice! OMG I have a pretty funny mouse story too...

One night I am in the kitchen frying cutlets and DS is at the computer in the family room (Iguess the mice like the family rooms too:rotfl: ) Anyway DS calls me -mom you'd better come and see this...to which I reply I cant look at the computer now I'm frying:mad: , and hes says well ...theres a mouse running around in here:scared1: I was horrified...now I run into the room with a large glass bowl:confused3 Not sure why -to trap it maybe...
Now here we both are chasing the mouse around the room( like a comedy show two grown people and one little mouse!!) and the whole time I am shrieking like the house is on fire and DS is laughing......finally I say to DS open the door maybe it'll run out...thank god I didnt have to trap it in my glass bowl:rotfl:

Well it did run out the door...but we have been on mouse patrol ever since (traps etc) but so far so good...EEEWWWW

WICKED TICKETS IN CHICAGO?!?!? help........:guilty:

ok all....I have spent the past hour + searching for Wicked tickets... FIrst off....I really do NOT care to see it. I hate going downtown, I hate live theater a LOT...I hate the hassle. I hate a lot about it. But LUcy really wants to & has wanted to for years.. she reminded me while I was sitting ehre with my laptop. busted. So...now I remember a big reason WHY I HATE THIS STUFF.....TICKETMASTER! OMG....ANN"OYING. THey have an even worst website then WDW!!!!!!

So....I cannot commit to a date first off. Second...WHo wants to pay $110 for a ticket?!?!?! NOT ME. The 4 of us would go. That seems like a total rip to me. :sad2: AND, looking at their seating chart is like ??????? WHat's the best seats? Orchestra? Or what the heck is "Dress Circle"? I can get Dress Circle the Fri after Tgiving for $120 ish each....and Orchestra about $110 other days....so I am so confused and sick about spending that much money and thinking it better be good with GOOD SEATS!!!  :rolleyes1

Any of you Chicago girls go? What should I do?!?!? I am just so aggravated.

Chan:guilty:

Channing~ Too funny that you mentioned this. I am going on Friday night and I think we booked the $40 tickets. My friend has already seen it and said that most of the seats are good so we just went with the cheaper ones. If you can wait until Sat night or Sunday I will get back with you on my thoughts. (maybe I can finally help you for a change :rotfl: )
