Hello everyone!!!

I have been very bad in checking in with everyone. My DS is graduating 8th grade 6/13 and now is crunch time for finals!!!! As soon as I am done with him its time for DDs finals!!!

I HATE SCHOOL!!! Can't wait for it to be over!!!

OK!! So who's at the GF and when are they back??? I need a dose of GF and photos!!!

Good luck with all that stuff, Annette!! I think my kids get out of school June 9??? Maybe 8th? We had snow days so I'm so not sure.


There is another post on the resorts board....something about IS the GF really THAT MUCH BETTER?? and she is talking between GF/Poly.....who wants to touch that one?!?!?! haha....I am staying far FAR away.

I am bad....I booked that October trip and thought that would do me. But I always have to sneak in another - so then came the July trip....

I used to just go to WDW once a year - but we would go for 2 to 3 wks.....then DH had a conference there one yr so that turned into a twice/year trip.....then we bought APs and found out about AAA discounts and then AP rates.....OMG....it's created a monster out of me.

And now having been to WDW for the pst several Thanksgivings and Xmas....it's going to kill me not to go this year....and having you and Dawn going!!! OMG! I am going to be going crazy.....here in boring old brown and cold IL over the holidays....you will love it there during the holidays.

I like to read this thread esp since we are trying the GF for the first time in Sept. I check in on you ladies (and Mr Mike) to make sure you're all acting like the Grand ladies (except Praline...I know it's really hard for her to behave properly...lol)

I promise I'm not stalkerish...just quiet maybe

Plus, I'm a homeschool Mom so I get distracted by my students very frequently

I wonder how much damage my 4 little one;s can do after being hyped up on sugar? Are you sure you want to order that tub full of ice cream?

My kids have 4 wks left - including the rest of this week. I know what you mean...i am not down to panic mode yet, but I will be in a couple!! I used to LOVE summer...until all my kids went to school all day. Now these are MY days! I love it!!!!

We stayed at the BWI once. I love that location. We like to do a Swan/GF or YC/GF split so we can be in that area for part of the trip. I didn't like the BWI much. (actually we all hate it....we turned that stay into a family joke and it's been about 3 yrs and we still crack up about stuff that went on during that trip) We had a deluxe concierge room - which I DID love - but the concierge service was lame- o....you read so much on the DIS about how terrific they are. NOT. It was a big let down staying there after all I read on here. I couldn't wait to get to the GF. I even called CRO after our first night to try and get a GF room aSAp but nothing available. We won't be staying BWI again.

YC/GF split coming up!!!

Before I stayed at the GF, I always liked the look of the Boardwalk and when we were planning our first RPC stay, I was a bit concerned because I read all over the place how wonderful the BWI concierge is ......
But RPC was so nice, I just can't imagine liking anything as much. And the location is better for us since my Dad likes to walk as little as possible. We PROBABLY are going to bite the bullet and book two RPC rooms for the first week of Feb ... We decided anything else could be a major disappointment!
Everyone who thinks the GF is uppity should have seen the teenagers lounging on the sofas in RPC while we were there ... (Did I ever mention that story?) Nothing uppity. Yeah, it's gorgeous, but so family friendly, IMHO. I will say we got a few dirty looks getting on the RPC only elevators a few times, but nothing too bad.

Have a great day everyone. I am off to a "Moms lunch" for the end of school ... Last time we can get together without the kids 'til August!

Andrea...the BW is fun. I really like doing a split Epcot resort/GF stay. It makes for two different vacations. The YC has movies and campfires on the beach at night and it's fun to hang out on the BW in the eves after a day at Epcot. BUT nothing at WDW can touch RPC IMO. Nothing. That is just the top.

Johnsonet - great pics! Thanks fro sharing. The room seems extra light and airy with the double balcony and the large French door letting more sunlight in. I love that.

I think you're going back in early July, though, so you REALLY don't have too long.

OMG...if Kelly could drive she'd be there every weekend.

She is going in early July! She has 5 weeks and some days to wait!

MandyMommy4...How old are your kids? I know you must have your hands full esp if you are already homeschooling some of them. At least mine are spread out in age. I only have 2 students now. Being a homeschool mom is a tough job and I salute you
