Late Afternoon Hello:)

Annette Must have missed the post about your son...but hope all goes well...will keep you all in my prayers....

Channing Deb is substitute teaching today....what a flat leaver....:rotfl:

Deb We miss you around here...dont flat leave us any more to teach...;) kids all know everything anyway dont they.....

Did anyone watch AI last night...they were either great or awful...no in betweens....I'm curious to see what will happen tonight...:confused3

Kristin-Thank you for the link. I had heard the thing about the ring, but I had not heard the rest. Very interesting.

/
Kristin It is grey and cold and rainy and awful here too(no snow though..)...the weather is just crazy....

Bring on the spring...:flower3:

Better yet...wouldnt it be nice to just be in Disney...I bet the weather there right now is beautiful...:)

Chan - The package! I feel the same way. I think that is why I'm wishy washy about the 4/3 deal. We've never done one and the fact that it has to be paid 6 weeks in advance flips me out!
It is a great deal though so I'm trying to keep that in mind but after Robyn's experience I'm now weirded out again! :upsidedow

Bluedeb- We watched AI. We felt so bad for Stevie. She really struggled! DD likes her and shes only 16 and had never been on a stage before. Loved Danny, the pink haired girl and Ricky?Braddy- not sure about his first name. I have it DVRed for tonight. It will be interesting...

hey gals...and our guy!

SHelstah.
..have a fun time out on your date tonight!!! Enjoy!!!!

Kristin...omg....it got so steamy kind of icky actually on Monday that I couldn't even stomach the whole show....I am curious what he is going to do....the previews of next week looked intense....don't tell me Diana is involved...DAWN where did you hear THAT?!?!?!?!?! OH man...if he goes with her....LOSER. I have to watch the rest of Monday's show.....

Blue Deb...oh that's right about our other Deb!!! Duh...I forgot and just missed her posting all today!!! YES..I watch AI!!! i thought that too!!! Some were really good...others REALLY BAD....:rotfl2: I hate to say...I got a little bored...it was LONG show....I don't vote, either....I usually only do at the very end..and ONLY if I am totally into somebody...rare.:rotfl:

Wendy.
..yeah..that was obnoxious what happened to Robyn.... I really didn't know they could even tell what you paid...or what is up....:confused3 with what deal you got....that is kind of a turn off...who but a total newb WOULDN"T use that great deal?!?!?! It just shows you're a repeater and a good guest if you know about the deals out there IMO.

TTYL,
Chan
GF Gal in the SNOW!!!

Wendy I felt so bad for Stevie too...she is adorable...hopefully she will get another chance....we have the same taste...those are our faves too....

We booked the 4/3 package too....and I usually never book a package either...but it was too good of a deal to pass up...I dont like all of the package restrictions either...but it is kind of nice to pay off the trip in advance...

I always worry I am a "what if gal"....what if we cant go...(god forbid...:rotfl: )what if we want to change something after the change cut off date...:rotfl: I guess thats why we usually book room only and add the rest on....

Hi Gals :goodvibes

I'm having withdrawals as I missed chatting with my gals today :upsidedow. Just wanted to check in real quick before I have to head out to take DS to drivers ed and then hit the grocery store before having to pick him up at 8:00 :sad2:. I subbed for 6th grade English today and it wasn't bad......just very boring :rolleyes1. I am subbing for 7th grade Science tomorrow......so I will be MIA tomorrow too :sad1:. I think if they ask me for Friday I may take that day off.......it's not bad, it's just so very boring :headache:. I'm not sure if we're able to access the internet or not......but I'll find out tomorrow as I'm taking DS's laptop with me :thumbsup2. OK, lets see what I remember.....

Sheli......Have a great night out tonight with hubby :yay:.

Chan......I would not last without a coffee pot ......I gotta have my coffee in the morning or else I won't make it :rotfl:.

Annette......I'm not sure what your son is going in for tomorrow but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family .

Kelly......HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Anty :bday: party:. I hope he had a great day :yay:.

BlueDeb.......I know what you mean......kids know EVERYTHING and there's no telling them any different :rotfl2: :rotfl2:. It was a good day today......I hope tomorrow goes just as well :)......just hoping for a little less boredom . I'd much prefer being here chatting with my GF Gals :goodvibes.

OK.....I just looked at the time.....it's 5:15 and we have to leave at 5:30 to get DS to drivers ed . Sorry if I forget anything.....I'll try to come back later.....TTYL ;).

Deb :cool2:

Channing We dont vote until the last few shows either....:rotfl: I thought last night was too long too...I actually took a break to Dis....

An hour is my limit...oh except on here...:rotfl:

Hi Deb! Glad the day went well...I guess boring is better than crazy right...If they want you to work for 3 days I hope you can use your DSs lap top...no Dis for that long just isnt good....;)

 It is snowing herre too, but it is supposed to change to rain. I just keep saying 30 days til spring, 30 days til spring.:sunny:

Sheli, enjoy your night out.

Deb, glad your day went well.

I watched a little of AI, but not enough to form an opinion. I don't watch much of the Bachelor either. Just a little here and there. I checked out the link, and I'm not surprised. I don't think there is much reality in those reality shows.:rotfl2:

Good Evening!

We are headed to the GF for the first time from 4/24-5/2 as a suprise trip for my daughter's 5th birthday--it is also her first WDW trip and the first in 25 years for myself and my husband! I have spent months (many, many months:rotfl: ) planning and making our ADRs for the trip--we have booked the Platinum Plan so we have reservations EVERYWHERE in order to make sure we get our money's worth.:thumbsup2

My dilemma is this...I have planned a very special birthday day for my daughter who turns 5 on the 26th--so actually our 3rd day there. We decided to make it our first park day of the trip and will head to MK. We have a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's and dinner at CRT. She also has BBB appt. right before dinner. She is also getting a special package delivery with birthday gifts from all the princesses. And I picked out a fabulous cake on the cake thread made by the GF wedding bakery.

So here is my dilemma...my original plan had been to have her birthday celebration at dinner at CRT and have cake and open presents at the table...that is until I realized that I could only order the cake I want at the GF and they won't deliver it to CRT. We were planning to head back to the GF early afternoon anyway to do some resting and so that she could intercept her surprise balloon bouquet from the Disney florist so I could move the little birthday party back to the hotel. But I don't want to do it in the stuffy room and a fancy cake should be SEEN! I thought about the tea room but the earliest reservation I could get was for 2:20 and I don't see how we can do tea/cake/presents and still make it back to BBB by 4pm.

Where else on GF property can I do a lovely little birthday party from about 1-3:30. I feel certain that there is someplace that is just perfect and that one of you will know just how to point me in the right direction. (FYI, the Plat itin planner was zero help:confused: )

Thanks for helping me make this day perfect. And PS--we already have ADRs for 1900 Park Fare, Narcoosee's, and Citrico's during the week so I was hoping to stay away from the restaurants if I could unless you think that would be the best solution.

Thanks so much for your help,

Laurel

Hi BeetleMommy Wow What a wonderful first trip for your DD!!

There are 2 very nice balconies on the 2nd floor of the main building right near M.Mouse Mercantile....I have seen various things set up there from time to time...

They are not large...have a nice view and seem like it would be a perfect spot for the type of celebration you'd like to have....

Too bad your planner wasnt more help...

Sounds like it will be a wonderful trip....:)

Hey ladies! It was a busy day around here in Anty world, LOL

Siobhan is sick and bed, I hope ya feel bettah Buddy!!

Oh no Siobhan is sick again!!!:sad2: I think she needs a vacation....one where she can get some rest!!:rotfl:

Get well soon Siobhan:sick: Its no fun being sick...

WoW!! Hi, Laurel!! That sounds like a trip fit for a princess!:goodvibes

Well...personally...I would snag that tea room ressie...and have the cake and the "party" there.

Move the BBB to before the tea room or later.....??? I would try that. :thumbsup2 The balconies Blue Deb mentioned are nice, too....but you don't know about the weather:confused3 and they are very private...sounds like you want to be SEEN:rotfl: ...my daughters and I did the tea room in October for the first time....I was always thinking WHAT"S THE BIG DEAL?!? BUT...it was LOVELY...they (ages 8 and 12) and I really REALLY enjoyed it.

SOrry the Platinum planner is little help....we've all had IPO type issues.....

Welcome to the chat thread.

Siobhan!!!
OMG..sorry you are sick in bed....at least you're in bed!! Not out partying with the dogs and the GALS.:rotfl: REST AND FEEL BETTER SOON!!!

I watched AI.....Hmm...I am going to have to rewatch the DVRed one from last night. I don't know if I am happy with the results or not.:rotfl: I am kinda like...huh? I cant keep track of all those people!:rotfl:

Happy evening, all.

Chan
GF Gal in the frigid north.....:headache:
