Morning!! Looks like I am going to have Jojo home one more day....she has a nasty head cold and it's bringing her down. It's fine..it's a dreary gray rainy day here...I wouldn't want to go out either.

:rotfl: probably.....!!

BTW the sheet thread is up to page 13 and still going strong....now they're talking about how clean the carpets and bath tubs are....:headache: I dont want to know!!!! I think I like that phrase....Ignorance is bliss....:)

I know...I feel like ignorance is bliss too, when it comes to hotels....and I even use the comforter...:rotfl: I am THAT ignorant. I don't care....it's comfy and warm. They are MEAN over there...but it goes on and on.

:thumbsup2 Me too, although I would love to have a driver. Maybe in another life.:rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Chan, yes seeing the big E is very good news. 2 weeks ago when he went he could't even see the chart. You can't fly for a couple of months after this surgery, so for awhile I thought I may have to find someone else to go with me.:rotfl2:

I'm watching AI and I just remembered, one of my coworkers just got back from Disney. She saw Paula Abdul at the GF. They were there for dinner and saw her in the lobby.
'

Well...I have a driver. He is 18 1/2 and I hate to ride with him though.:rotfl:

Maxie...I am glad your husband is making good progress. I hope it continues. :thumbsup2 I know somebody that rode up the elevator with her.....and also said she's nice anf friendly. Wow...we missed everybody!

Good morning everyone. I watched the biggest loser last night (I love that show) and was very happy with the outcome. She is doing so good at home, I was very surprised.

Kid/Adult ticket question. A lady at work asked me a question yesterday and I'm not sure the answer. Her family is going to WDW in April. Her daughter will be turning 10 while they are down there. Her DH bought a child ticket for her daughter for the whole trip. She is wondering if they need to upgrade the ticket after her birthday or if they can leave it at the child price. She has already signed up on the website for her birthday, so they will know that she will be 10. She was just trying to be prepared before she gets there. If anyone has had this happen, what did you do? Thanks, Lisa.

Lisa, I have had that happen, too....they say if the child turns 10 while you're there you are fine to use the kid ticket....but I don't do packages...and that would be a hassle to deal with changing that midtrip.

Morning :surfweb: (thats diet coke in my mug LOL)

MINE TOO!!!! My coffee maker is on the fritz..and I keep forgetting to replace it!!! So..it's either tea or Diet Coke...and we all know what I prefer.:thumbsup2 :
rotfl: :rotfl:

I am just back from taking DS to school and let me say it is just down right disturbing how some parents send their kids to school. These kids have not had a bath or even a hair brush touch their head in a while. AND it is in teh 50's this morning and these kids had on shorts and ss shirts. One teacher wrapped a little girl up in her jacket. :sad1: Sorry had to vent a little!

Wow...Sad......Good thing for loving teachers. I worked in a preschool in another life and thought the same thing......sad.

ANYWAYS!

CHAN!I am so needing a day at the cabana :cool2: We got a new mattress topper and it is so plush and our sheets are red and I told DH that it reminded me of the cabana lounge chairs. Well I guess since that is the last thing i really said before i drifted off to sleep I had sweet dreams of the cabana and fluffy drinks and i was skinny! :woohoo: Chan you were there but you were talking like FD! :rotfl:

OH!! That is funny!!! :rotfl2: OOooh....nice with the plush mattress!! I love my bed....but I would love a lounge chair in the Florida sun...at the side of the GF pool even more! :cool1: I have reddish sheets too - that is WILD...mine are burgundy rusty red!!! :thumbsup2 OMG...ME talking FD!!!???I would lose my voice too fast.....HE must have been hiding behind one of those huge potted plants.....trying to swipe my pina colava.;) I had probably already lost my voice from laughing....I am just getting it back now.:rotfl:

Have a good day GALS!!

Good morning!

DS is going to school today :cool1: Unfortunatly DD now has a fever:confused3

Chan I hope Jojo feels better soon! Rainy days never seem to help.

Dawn get sleep and try zicam.....that nose gel works very well in preventing a cold! I was very unsure until I tried it and it worked (on many occasions);) What are you currently scrapping? I am still working on our GF trip last April :goodvibes

Maxie it's great that your DH continues to improve.:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a good day:grouphug:

Chan: Sorry to hear Jojo is still not feeling well. My DS5 has a head cold too but it's not stopping him from driving me crazy this week! :crazy2:

Does anyone know if I can return a gift to Gymboree without a gift receipt? DS5 got a box full of clothes from one of his little friends at his bday party last week. They're very nice clothes, actually too dressy button down shirt, sweater, dress pants and khakis. Not only are they too dressy but with Spring just around the corner, they won't fit him next winter. I really have no use for them. He wears a uniform to school and doesn't need much play clothes for the weekend and well, these are not play clothes.

My SIL (who's a huge Gymboree fan) told me the clothes were purchased online by the tags. Does this make a difference? Can I return them and just get a store credit.

Ugh, I truly appreciate this mom buying him such nice clothes, but it's such a waste to keep them. He'll NEVER wear them. Why don't people include gift receipts!!????:headache:

So DS5 sick and all (he feels fine, just runny nose stuffy head, still wreaking havoc and driving DS2 and me crazy this week) we're going to head to the mall to just get out. Probably ride the carousel and have some lunch. But it would be great if I can return these clothes and get this huge box out of their room.:headache:

Hi, Christine!! I am sorry you have sick kids, too!!!! I hope they feel better soon.:flower3: And you stay healthy.

I love Zicam!!!:thumbsup2 It DOES WORK!!! I woke up feeling really icky the day we were supposed to fly to WDW!!!! I used it as many times as I could before I left home and that was it...I never felt sick at all after!!! I love that stuff. I used to use Cold Ease...but I prefer the Zicam.:thumbsup2

DS5 had asked me last week if he could wear his shorts to school (they have a winter and spring uniform) I told him NO WAY it's freezing out. He said but my friend Justin wears shorts all the time!!! :scared1:

How can you send your child to school in thin mesh sport shorts in the dead of winter??!!!!

I'm really surprised the principal didn't say anything to his mother. She really enforces the dress code!

Some parents are just nuts!:headache:

Hi, Mare!!

Yes...I know what you mean....today Jojo is obviously feeling BETTER because the TV is louder and she has been bugging me for this and that....yesterday she just flopped on the sofa and slept all day....today will be another story.:rotfl:

I would definitely try and return the clothes....most stores wll give you a store credit...the only bummer is without the receipt you will get the lowest sale price credit.

Have fun at the mall!! I remember those days!!!

Mare I have returned items that i got online to a store........ if you don't have the gift receipt then i would bet they would give you what the current value is...... I have a buddy at my local gymboree and she has been super helpful, I always goof up my online order somehow and forget a top or order two skirts ect....... :confused3

If they are not gonna help you out then i say ebay them!

Exactly! They're sick, but not fully sick but not yet well. He's driving me nuts! Last night he had a low fever and really looked sick now he sounds sick  (nasal) but he's bouncing on his bed with his brother! :yay: I think they're going stir crazy from being inside these past two days.

I feel really bad about getting the lowest price for the clothes, I know this mom we're friendly a pick up and drop off. Her daughter is just gorgeous. Her daughter and my son have a little thing going on :rotfl: They always sit together and help each other out. They are the best of friends for two years now. She prepared him for getting a haircut (first time he sat still) and helps him open his juicebox at lunch it's just all so cute. They have the most adorable friendship. I know this mom put thought into his gift. The clothes are really beautiful and really match nicely. They're just winter clothes and won't fit by next season.

Another friend gave him "cars" PJs. I was all set to put them on him after his bath and discovered the top was a size 6 the bottoms a size 4! I don't know this mom at all! I just threw them in the pile of stuff for the school flea market.

Gotta get moving.

Thank you so much!!! :goodvibes

I was going to go look it up, but I knew there were Gymboree shoppers here. I personally have never been a fan of their boys clothing but these clothes my son got are nice. Now I'm interested in checking them out.

If they are not gonna help you out then i say ebay them!

I am so not an ebay person. I sold a lot of baby gear on Craigs List, that was easy I could leave the item in my lobby and the doorman handled the transaction. People would leave the cash in an envelope. But for clothes, I just give them to goodwill. I have bags of stuff for the dumpsters in the Walmart parking lot. But stuff that's new with tags I've been putting aside for the schools flea market.

My BIL gave the boys a BUNCH of Walmart outfits that I have to say are really really cute, but all the wrong sizes. DS2 is barely wearing size 2T, BIL bought size 4T for both boys!:headache: He bought a ton of those vest/button down shirt/pant outfits by George. He left the tags on them $17 on clearance for $5. I seriously have about 6 sets! I have no use for them. I cannot keep them for 3 years waiting for DS2 to fit in them. What would Walmart give me $2 each for them? Not worth it. I'd rather donate them and have someone else get good use out of them.

There's one outfit that would been the cutest xmas card outfit. The vest is red/grey. But I think that ones a size 5T :headache:

I can never buy in advance....I have no idea what sizes to buy...and with my luck the stuff would be too small or large...i don't know how people do that buy ahead thing......

That's too bad about all teh clothes that don't fit. Gymbo is good about returns....but I hope you get a decent credit on them.....

Mandy: For name brand clothes, I do have a woman who comes to my apt from Westport, CT. I discovered her on Craigs List. She owns a high-end consignment store. I had two shopping bags of clothes for her. She sat at my dining room table with a flashlight and magnify glass looking at the baby outfits (they were all newborn/infant clothes) and inspected them.

She took about 1/3 of the stuff and gave me $100! :thumbsup2

Oh and this lady would not take Children's Place, Carters, Old Navy, Target, Walmart. Only BRAND names. I had a lot of Baby Gap and Ralph Lauren stuff. Funny thing is it was all used by TWO babies. The majority of it I bought on sale so I really made out!

She wants me to call her when my son out grows his Burberry coat :rotfl2: Unfortunately, this child is a messy eater and he's stained the thing. There goes getting some money back for it! Thankfully DH got it on sale! ;)

I HAVE got to get dressed and get out of here if we're heading to the mall. It's about a 30 min drive!

OMG I say this all the time!! I have to buy for right now not next season!

I seriously have to go!

I'm trying to catch up, but can't remember much so I'll just say Hi, and welcome back Vanessa. I guess I missed a lot today.:confused3

DH went to the doctor today. He could see the big E on the eye chart. Still can't lift anything heavy. He gets to be a slacker for a couple more weeks.:lmao: He did get the OK to go on our trip.:thumbsup2

31 days until spring.

That is GREAT news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't it just figure that they end right before I arrive :rolleyes1

I use the comforter too if I'm cold. I just don't think about it. It would be extremely hard to pick up anything from a comforter or blanket. Germs need the right conditions to survive. I could go on, but don't want to bore anyone.:rotfl2: I am a dental assistant and knowing about disease transmission is part of my job.
Well...I have a driver. He is 18 1/2 and I hate to ride with him though.:rotfl:

Maybe she is always like that, but she was there working and not on vacation, so maybe that makes a difference. I wouldn't approach anyone if I saw them there on vacation.Lisa, I have had that happen, too....they say if the child turns 10 while you're there you are fine to use the kid ticket....but I don't do packages...and that would be a hassle to deal with changing that midtrip.
