Maxie...ok..if the comforters are good enough for you...I am fine using it:thumbsup2 ...no second thoughts.:rotfl: I just cannot even go there with thoughts of "cooties" like somebody said on that thread!! Pahlease.....they are everywhere....

I know....I would never approach anybody I didn't know!! But apparently she was friendly and happy to meet fans. We always miss the stars.....I did see Joan Rivers in teh RPC lounge once....she didn't look left or right...just walked straight to the coffee machine...she did not want to be bothered....but I also heard she is a very nice person.

About the coffee:rotfl2: ....but I drink decaf so I am not as dependent as a caffeine drinker.....I have been running to McDs...but with jojo home I can't...so it was a Diet Coke morning.:rotfl: I just have to WRITE IT DOWN....BUY A COFFEE POT or I will keep forgetting it...I have to remember to write it...:rotfl2:

Thank you for the ticket advice for my coworker. I just told her that she will be fine, since she said she didn't purchase a package or the dining plan, so she is very excited. Thank you all for such great advice.

Kelly - Enjoy Anty's birthday, I'm sure you have lots of fun things planned.

I've got one home sick today too!

Happy Birthday to Anty! pirate: :woohoo:

I could so use a cabana day! :wizard:

:woohoo:

:woohoo: Yeah for making a ressie, that is so neat that you will be celebrating 2 things, and you can use your birthday gift card to buy yourself and anniversary present.:thumbsup2 I could never keep it a secret that long.:rotfl2:

That is GREAT news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't it just figure that they end right before I arrive :rolleyes1

Thanks. The AP rate is available for my dates, but the 4/3 deal is much better, even with buying a 1 day ticket.

Chan, :lmao: I could never forget to buy a coffee pot. I need the real thing, the fake stuff just wouldn't do it.:rotfl2:

I was just playing with the AP rates for the week before I arrive and I could stay for the full 10 days at Pop and it is STILL $10 cheaper than the 4/3 for 8 days because of the 1 day tickets on the 4/3. I REALLY hope they extend this offer to cover our dates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wizard:

(BTW- they had RPC standard for $649- is it just me, or is that still seem high??)

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Kelly HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! TO ANTY:yay: hope youre all having a nice day...

Mandy Congratulations! What a nice surprise...Enjoy the YC...when we stayed at BC recently I thought the whole complex was great!!!:thumbsup2

Maxie Thanks for that bit of info on where germs can live...I like the comforters too....

Channing I have similar chauffers 2 of them!!!:headache: I'd rather walk...:rotfl:

Hope all of our sickies are feeling better....

Hello! :goodvibes

Well...I had to make the executive decision to run out to the Hallmark store...my mom's bday is MONDAY!!!:scared1: It snuck up on me...and if I didn't send her a card she'd be MAD. And I would feel it...hear it..know it...So I ran:rotfl: .....they had Valentine WEbkinz 60% off....I bought Jo one so she could sit on her computer vs. taking the whole family room with her lounging and sicky stuff.:rotfl: And then I can vacuum....i NEED to.:headache:

Mandy!!
THAT IS AWESOME!! I LOVE the YC. AND....it's so fun for an adults only trip (except GF GALs of course;) )to be on the Epcot side!!:thumbsup2 Wow...how are you going to keep that secret?!?!:rolleyes1 More power to ya....but wow....:rotfl: You'll have a great time! That is something neat to look forward to.

BlueDeb
...oh that is funny!! YES I'd rather walk too!!! And then when I think about it...it's kinda scary...Here I am handing him the keys to the car but I won't ride with him....:rotfl2:

Kristin.
..hmm..that's about average for RPC actually....with the bounceback I had it was like $575 in October....and over holidays it is about $1K/nt....ridiculous....but they get it. It's June..so more busy than October.

And I am glad to know I am not alone in not fearing the comforters.:rotfl: :thumbsup2

But why should italian food in italy be the same as what we eat here?
This isn't italy and I'd guess that most americans, especially most americans that go to Disney, wouldn't like Italy's italian food no matter how good it is to the citizens of italy.

I would also think that any 'american food' that a restaurant in any other country serves wouldn't taste the way we think it should (again, why would it) and would hate to think of an american in that country making fun of the people there who were eating it.

I still think its bad ( and kind of stupid) that the waitstaff would make fun of anyone in Italian..especially when you consider that like you there are going to be customers that speak the language.

OK!! I am not orginally from Italy like Mare's husband, but most of my family is. We have alot traditional dishes my family eats that you would never find in an Italian restaurant, but we eat alot of the basic Italian cuisine that everyone eats.

I don't know what the waitstaff would make fun of, but alot of the food in Italy is like here in NY. Maybe not vodka sauce (its Italian American I guess) and many other things, but its pretty close, especially in NYC!! But I have to agree with M&P most people in WDW would like or appreciate authentic Italian food.

We'll have to agree to disagree Mare.
I think these particular Italians sound even dumber now. Its ok to make fun of someone because they didnt order their food by the right name and instead had to describe it? I just dont see the humor in that...especially when they think the food is so bad where they work...you would think they would agree with that customer that the food was just 'noodles in white sauce'

Once again, I have to agree with M&P, I wouldn't find the humor in any restaurant if I was being made fun of.

Let me just tell you, I don't speak Italian fluently, but I understand it very well. We ate in Tutto Italia last year and didn't hear anything disrepectful. I ordered in English and ask the server what he suggested, everything was very good. Once again, maybe not as great as one of our favorite local Italian restaurants, but it was very good.

Mare I am sorry you had such a weird experience, but its not always like that. Italian is hard to eat out in restaurant away from home, for us at least.

I am probably not going to have time to come visit again today, I have to get up at 4:00 am. My DS procedure day is finally here, we have to be in the Bronx by 6:30. My mom is sleeping over, so she can come with us tomorrow and drive me home for my DD. I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I can.

OOPS!!

Before I go....

Happy Birthday Anty:bday:

Mandy - Congratulations:yay:

Maxie - Great News!!!!

I hope that covers everyone!!! Just trying to catch up!!!

WishesQueen, Not sure what your DS is having done tomorrow, but I will keep him in my prayers.

Kristin, We are staying RPC and the AP rate would cost over $1500 more, not even taking into consideration the 1 day ticket. I do not like packages, I hate paying for something 6 week before we even go, but for the savings I will gladly do it. Hope they have as good a rate or better for your dates.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I'm hoping for a good AP rate for October.

Annette..I hope everything goes well!! Sending positive thoughts your way...keep us posted.

Maxie..I hate packages too. I am still holding out for a good AP rate for summer. ...we have the 7/4 booked...but there is something about that commitment and the upfront paying:headache: ...and all the restrictions that chokes me.:sad2: I have NEVER booked a package before...and I don't want to this time either.:sad2: They shouldn't get the money until we are THERE IMO...and that refund/cancellation policy is dumb.

OK...now I feel better.:rotfl: Ah....got that off my chest...:rotfl:

I tried to vacuum:rolleyes: ...got the family room done but there is something wrong with my vacuum....DH is gonna love it...another fix it project:upsidedow ....but at least he can fix anything.;)

Where is Deb today??!!? She has been very unusually absent.....:confused3
