OK OK...ONe last post for now......I am somebody with a messy house that doesn't want to deal with it....

I just thought Kristin would want to know that she will be there with us in spirit....and more......

Here she is all tucked safely into my Eddie B backpack........

And OH NO!!!! Well I thought she was safe!!!!! It's FREAK DOG!!!! Nobody is safe from HIM!

Kristin is easier to carry than Jose....so she gets to come....... Oh the fun we will have....... We will be nice. We'll make sure she has a great time.

Good Morning Gals

According to the weather reports we are supposed to get HAMMERED once again with snow . Chicago is only supposed to get 1-4" if they're lucky.....but here in NW Indiana (Porter County especially.....where I am ) is expecting 6-12" .......with it possibly being as much as 18" . They have been wrong before, it's supposed to start sometime this morning and 1-2 inches are to fall per hour .......ending sometime early tomorrow morning .


Mare.......I can't believe they may be redoing the cabanas again.....didn't they just get a rehab ? I would have thought any additions would have been done at that time . But either way.......I'm curious to see what exactly they're doing . I'm sure the price may increase for the summer months like you said.....but it will be worth it for me to still get one since we've never done that before......plus vacations are for splurging, right . Hopefully our contact will come back with lots of info .


I hope all you gals are packed and ready to go . You are going to have a great time . Don't forget to take lots of pics .

I am up and have so much to do today but i am so unmotivated!

Ya'll are killing me about the packing! I am simple too.... when it is just me. If i go any place with the kids then I pack up the house!

Siobhan......I used to HATE crocs and said I would NEVER wear them . I finally broke down 2 years ago and bought the red Mickey ones at The World of Disney.......now I want the pink ones . One thing I did tell DH is that I had to admit they are VERY COMFORTABLE .

I agree~ My mom began wearing them like 4 years ago befor they were popular. She had them in so many colors and i thought they were obnoxious and tacky..... I met her someplace and she hopped out of her Jaguar with these bright orange things and I thought I would die. Totally looked tacky!

My mom got my kids hooked on them and they each have about 5 pairs..... DD2 (almost 3) has worn them since she could walk.

Soooo fast froward 2 years ago and I was at my sisters and i slipped hers on to run to the car and was like WOW! So i go back in and tell her I am thinking about getting a pair and two days later a pair show up on my front door step. Yep, my mom had heard that I was thinking about getting some and got me a pair and left a note saying...... I love that you are gonna eat your words about never wearing "ugly clown shoes." Welcome to the club.

Of course that is when she stopped wearing them, she has moved on

How funny . I would always make fun of people wearing them because I thought they were the UGLIEST things . I have to say though that I will ONLY buy the Mickey ones......the regular ones just won't do for me . As soon as I bought them and wore them for the first time, I told DH how comfortable they were!!!!! He's in construction and did alot of work at a local hospital and he said ALL the nurses wore them .

I bet you're getting excited for the gals to be coming down . Even though you're not joining them tomorrow, you all are going to have the BEST TIME .

MORNING EVERYBODY!!!!!


I cannot believe we leave tomorrow!!!!!!!!

I started making a list of stuff to get done before I leave.

Zack was learning to drive stick so that he can drive the Wrangler b/f to work when DH has to schlep kids around in my car. It's suddenly become an issue that I won't be here.....stuff we didn't think about. He can do it...he kinda learned over the summer....but yesterday was the first day out in a long time and the first day I've ridden with him since he got his license. OMG....it's a scary world out there....

Siobhan! I love that a blond Siobhan has more fun!! You go, girl!!

Freak Dog....what? You mean that WASN'T YOU in my backpack?!?!?!? You mean...there might be more than ONE FREAK DOG?!?!!? I dont' know....that dog was a freak alright. I have met freaky cats before...but never a dog like that one....Now I am worried....who do I have tucked in my backpakc with my little friend Kristin?

DEb...I crank my car tunes too!! Only when I am alone....the kids hate it so loud.

Mare....I saw that about the cabanas....I will definitely take pics & get the scoop.

Lisa my DS4 thinks that's the "real" Disney Channel He won't let us change it. It stays on until they fall asleep then DH and I get to watch the news.

I was surprised to hear that too. But my cabana gal (Amanda) had mentioned "fancy-schmancy" upgrades were coming. After the Oct rehab, the only thing that changed was the furniture. I thought they cut the high-end rehab short due to the economy/budgets or something. So this is a wonderful surprise.

The poster on the GF thread said she was just there and there's a wall up around the cabanas. She asked to peek over and they let her. She said the cabanas were bare to the bones and one CM was working on them. Sounds like they'll be up and ready for the Spring Break crowd.

I don't mind paying a price increase for fancy-schmancy upgrades

GF Gals: Pack some gloves! 20 degrees at night is COLD in FL!! I bought those 99 cent stretch gloves to keep in my pocket, they came in handy!

Chan........How exciting just one more day . Good thing no snow storm is predicted for you gals in Chicago . You should have NO PROBLEM getting out .

I think I crank the stereo pretty loud but my two always tell me turn it up more . And then there's times I don't turn it down before I get out of DH's truck and then he goes to drive it and gets BLASTED with Metallica . That will make you jump out of your skin if you're not expecting it .

I'm sure Zack will be fine driving the stick car while you're gone . And you're not kidding about it being scary out there . The scary thing is that mine is just starting .


Mare......I too will pay for fancy-schmancy . I can't wait to hear more after Chan comes back with her report .

Mare-I just did a search on Stacey. I didn't realize that she had not been to WDW before. I also didn't realize that she will be 40 this year, she sure does look good for her age. My DH likes to watch her too when we are there, it must be a kid thing - he acts like a big kid when we are there.

I have one thing left to put in my suitcase- but can't pick it up until tomorrow...then I am ready to go!!! I'll be the one in pink mouse ears at the airport.

It is supposed to be in the negatives with the temps tomorrow night here...so anything will feel toasty. I am sick of this. I am NOT going home easy. It's gonna be ugly. I am not going to want to leave FL.

Well...we have a cabana rented for Friday. So...if it's too cold I will just take pics. I think it was another poster over there that mentioned spring break..but they will be done for our rental.

Deb...omg...if you can get your DH to do the driving with the DS..go for it. It is crazy and scary. He did some...but we had to get 50+ hours in before he could get his DL...and actually we did more because I was nervous about him driving...I hate when I get in my car and Zack has the BASS turned WAY UP and my speakers are POUNDING.

Morning Gals......

I was gone all day yesterday...first with a job fair for teaching then scrapping until 11pm

OK i do have awesome news...................

Here it is.............................

My mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma (large bcell) back in Oct...she had massive amounts of tumors in her body along with a huge one on her skull that was giving her excrutiating headaches (thats why she went to the dr in the first place)....anyway long story short it has been a loooonnng 3 months with her going through chemo and then a tumor setting in her hip making her unable to walk. Lymphoma is an extremely aggressive fast growing type of cancer that does respond well to chemo......
On Friday we went to the Dr. for the results of her PET scan and she is completely clean....NO TUMORS or ANY SIGN OF CANCER! Can you believe it?? And this is only after 4 treatments!!! The Dr. said this is good news for the future....He said she is in remission and might be eventually cured (65% of people diagnosed with lymphoma can be cured) She did have her round of chemo on Friday and one more for a total of 6...and that looks like it! And he said we can go on vacay to Disney!!! (this is from our postponed trip in Nov ) She is still supposed to use her walker till she get strength back in her leg, and we will take her wheelchair to Disney cause that will be lots of walking.....It truly is a miracle.....

DH is doing LOTS better...getting around...Dr said physical therapy next week...his will also be a longer recovery due to his arthritis in that knee....

WOW that's it here....and 3 more days til I need to get going doing laundry and packing!!! I have done NONE!

Lisa: I did a search on Stacy too, I found her really interesting. I'm not so annoyed by her anymore I couldn't believe how old she was either! She has the best job!

Sheli: That would look adorable!!!Please take pictures at the airport!

Siobhan: I haven't been to WDW in Feb in years, but back then it was cold! I just remember lots of layering. Mornings you'd find frost on the ground then by noon it would hit 70 then cold again in the evenings. I think I was able to wear capris once. Mostly jeans, long-sleeved tees, and a lightweight jacket. Somedays a sweater, no jacket. (looking at the photos)

Make sure you all pack some type of cold medicine just in case. We always got sick from the extreme weather.

You might want to pack some socks for all those Crocs Sneakers might keep your feet warmer.

I really hope you ladies get warm weather.

Mine are Gap light gray khakis - they're cute but casual...I figured it's too cool for capris...and I liked the tee better with them than with jeans.... AND..we could wear our black CROCS!!
