Chan : Hope JoJo has a Happy Birthday!!:wizard:

I can't change my flight till Sunday when DH gets more FF miles. Then I will change to a Thursday arrival and then leave on Monday when you all do!!
Yee Haw!!

Wow...lots going on...

Amy One more week!!! When do you leave? Hope everything is falling into place. What an exciting time!!!

Cinderumbrella I think you're Kristin...now, I'm trying to get the right names with the right screennames...sorry, if I'm calling you the wrong name. I love your idea about the balloon floating out of the box. Did you find those balloons?

Kelly Hope you're feeling better! Stay warm!

Channing Hope your daughter has a great day!!! Love that new doll! Has anyone come to the conclusion on Twilight? My oldest daughter, Courtney has told me she wants to read it..."all of my friends have" she says...and I know they actually have. I have put it on my reserve list at the library...weeks ago...it just hasn't come available yet...I guess I don't mind waiting until we all come to an agreement on whether or not it is appropriate for that age group.

Speaking of appropriate things for 13yo's. Has anyone watched that new...or maybe it is just new to me..."The Secret Life of an American Teenager," with the pregnant 15yo. My daughter keeps telling me that ALLLLLLL of her friends watch that, too...this I'm not sure about. Does anyone have any input on that?

OK...now, that I'm caught up here...need to go catch up with more laundry:laundy:

Yup- I'm Kristin! I don't sign much with my name anymore since we have all been chatting here for over a year, so I take it for granted that everyone know's who I am ;)

Shel and Siobhan were on a google hunt for me one night! I earmarked one page, but they are expensive. And hard to find in the US :confused3 I think Shel found them in New Zealand! :rotfl: But I will find them!! :thumbsup2

Hi Leighan! We leave on Tuesday at 6:45 AM! We are going to stay in a hotel by the airport on Monday night because we live about an hour + away from STL and I don't like getting up THAT early! (I will do it for WDW though)!

Everything is going good. Just finishing up some loose ends here at work today (I work M-TH so today is my last day before leaving, as this coming M is MLK day!). Tomorrow and Saturday I HAVE to go to the library and write 9 papers for grad school, ugh! Two of them I MUST write or I will fail (bad bad bad). Anythig else I get done is gravy, but I don't want that big heap of work waiting for me when I return!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: OMG!!!! I just went in to switch over another load of laundry and this time there was a blue crayon in the dryer!!! I just finished getting the stains out of Alli's shirt...now Courtney's soccer shirt is ruined!!! I can't even believe this!!!...Yes, I check their pockets!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:scared1: I ruined a load of clothes with orange crayon once...we don't even have kids yet...I don't know how it got in there but nothing I did saved it, it only made it worse :headache:

Mandy- I think my hubby wants to join you in running that race- NOT ME!!!! :) I'd happily cheer loudly as you go by!!! :cheer2:

Carrot cake story- I don't have a year- so here is the short version -
After once being assured that it was no problem to get a Carrot Cake for Liberty tree tavern. I mentioned the slices from the Main St bakery and that I would love to just buy a full cake worth and it didn't matter if it was beautiful- It was for my son who only eats carrot cake. They said they would check the price and call me back but no call was ever received.

Then I called and got nowhere so MY SUPER AMAZING CAKE NINJA TRAVEL AGENT called, then we called - many times - and spoke to: MK cake line, LTT, mk area restaurant operations management, LTT manager, MK bakery, main st bakery,
and everyone we could call to get a Carrot Cake for Liberty tree tavern. Any carrot cake would do- and the Main St Bakery is only steps away an sells an amazing carrot cake. FINALLY the LTT manager said yes and Ninja TA had e-mail from a live person assuring it would be done...but it was NOT done.
We got there and there was no info about the cake and the restaurant said that they did not promise a carrot cake and couldn't get one at all. I spoke to the manager on duty and she then called the person who had promised the cake by e-mail...HE DENIED IT!!!
But then they somehow went over to the main st bakery, and got a cake worth of slices, and frosted it to look like a whole cake. And scribbled Happy b-day alex on it. AND IT TASTED SO GREAT THAT NO ONE CARED HOW IT LOOKED...just like I told them the first time I called and they said no problem.
TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!!! super tasty cake!

Lesson- don't ask for carrot cake at LTT and get a great TA invloved.

Now that is funny Mandy!!!! Not about you running but anyone else joining you!!! :lmao: Maybe if Kristen were coming..Oh and by the way...Kristen tell Tony that you need to come because someone has to count my calories!!! That's it...will he fall for that???

Anyways..mandy that is when I lost all my weight...When i turned 30! I was a size 4!!!! I looked sooo good well now I am a squishy and happy 12! Whatevah....I would love to run but never have been able to! :confused3 I used to have dreams of running marathons but I dont think it will ever happen...

Chan and Shel..you up for a run??? :rotfl:

Leighan~ sounds like it is time to stop doing laundry today! Ughh I have been there with a crayon..... in 2007 i got my 3 girls super cute Gymbo Christmas outfits and ALL the sweaters that went with the outfits got dried with a crayon after the first wear. I ended up having to buy new ones on eBay b/c they were sold out online and in the stores of my youngest 2 DD's sizes. :scared1: I paid pretty penny for those sweaters! The crazy part is i NEVER dry gymbo sweaters but decided to dry on low for 10 min then hang up :headache:

BTW: Welcome, I am Mandy! I read a while back about how your parents spelled you name differently and I have to say I was named LaManda for a few days by a very out-of-it mother b/c she was still on pain pills when the nurse asked her my name in the recovery room after her c section. My dad saw the official papers when we were discharged and was able to have the paper work changed before it was submitted by the hospital to the county courthouse. We laugh about it now that I was LaManda for 4 days! :rotfl:

Amy and Mandy Glad to hear I'm not the only one who ends up with crayons in their laundry. Erin just got in from school and when I questioned about it, she said "Mom...that was such a long time, ago.":confused3 The only thing that I'm really worried about getting the stains out of is Courtney's soccer shirt...she'll be needing that this weekend.

Mandy I love your LaManda story.:rotfl: That is too funny...new mothers on drugs, should NOT allowed to name their children!!! My mom always used to tell me how great her deliveries were...back in the 60s, with all those drugs...no wonder!!! Just to clarify, I am referring only to the legal ones...used in childbirth!!!
When I was in 3rd grade, I discovered Barry Manilow. I ended up going to school one day, with this story I concocted after hearing "Mandy" and told everyone that my parents told me that they really named me Mandy...and that from now on, that is what everyone should call me. That didn't go over, very well. Still, whenever any of my friends from way back when, hear your name or hear that song...they laugh at me. I really wanted that to be MY name...back in 197????

If I had a nickel for everytime DH forgot to take a red pen out of his pocket before putting his jeans in the laundry I could afford RPC!!!!! I find that Zout is an AWESOME stain remover! :thumbsup2

We just watched The Phantom Menance (Star Wars Episode 1) and DS is now a HUGE Darth Maul fan, begging for a 2 sided lightsaber :sad2: Star Wars Weekend, here we come :rotfl:

Mandy- congrats on the marathon!!! :worship: I could never, ever do it! But I am a big wimp when it comes to running!!

Siobhan- can you imagine me telling DH I HAVE to go to help count calories?! :rotfl: And you think Kel is a drill sargeant :rolleyes1

I guess I should check on my :laundy: too!

TTFN!

I can't believe all the catching up I had to do here this afternoon....you gals were chatting away :rotfl:. Now lets see what I can remember....

Amy......You will LOVE Maggiano's if you like Italian food :goodvibes. Have a nice dinner with your dad :flower3:. AND........ONLY 7 MORE DAYS......HOW EXCITING!!!!!!!!

Mare......Thanks for the cake pics :thumbsup2. That chocolate one looks heavenly :cloud9:. I will have to go through the cake thread. There will be 8 of us in June so the bigger cakes will be good :goodvibes. I love the cheesecake one your DH got for your bday :). It looks very yummy and DH would love it as he is a cheesecake nut....but $38 for what you get :scared1:!!!!!! DH also loves chocolate cake so that may have to do instead . I also like the Mickey and Minnie one .

Kristin......After I posted about Maggiano's my thought was "I didn't address Kristin with this"......then I just assumed you'd KNOW you were to be there :rotfl: :rotfl:. Like Chan said.....OF COURSE you are coming :yay:.

Leighan......Sounds like you've had quite a trying day . Tomorrow is another day.....I hope things go better for you :flower3:. I can't say that I've ruined any items of clothing but I have washed pencils, crayons, gum, carmex.......you name it.....I've probably washed and dried it :rotfl2: :rotfl2:. Speaking of laundry.....I've got a ton of it to do myself :rolleyes1.

Sheli......What a mess that was for the carrot cake :scared1:. But I'm glad everything worked out and you were able to enjoy carrot cake even though it didn't come as one whole cake ;).

Mandy......Good for you for doing the marathon :thumbsup2. I could never do it but I wish you lots of luck with training and the race :wizard:.

Deb :)

I wish they would let us know about tomorrow's school before 5am :scared1: I hope they have it since these snow days/strike days are eating up my days before we leave for vacation. Including today's snow day, they now go to school through Fri June 5 and we leave Tuesday June 9th (I only have 1 day to spare and it is still too early in winter!)

Dawn: I hope everything is okay with your DH!
