hey all in chicago area...tonight is suppose to be worse! We have a teacher work day tomorrow so the kids are already off....JEEZ they are getting a 5 day vacay with today tomorrow and Monday!

Dawn......School was called here today too......and I just got a call that there is a 2 hour delay tomorrow . With what the temps are supposed to drop to I wouldn't be surprised if school was called again tomorrow . I'm sorry about DH and his knee.....I hope the MRI goes well and there's nothing major that's wrong .

No school today...I had to take a vacay day since I work 12 months...its okay though! It is -44 below windchill WOWZAA!

Shel im with you on the marathon...I will stand right by you and cheer along Mandy and anyone else...Maybe we can have a pink squirrel or grasshopper as we are watching WTG Mandy...good for you making such a great goal!

Kristin..Of course you are in for our IL gals!!!! Vanessa where are you??? Hopefully you can come too!

When I had strep, DH immediately felt feverish and needed attention. Sorry buddy, but I can't drag myself out of bed to take care of myself, so you are on your own!!! And surprise, surprise- NO FEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My DH's office is right outside of where that plane landed. He was shocked, amazed, freaked and he didn't even see it happen!!!

HI girls!

DH and i made goals last night for 2009 and I have decided to run the Princess 1/2 Marathon NEXT year! I am working on a beginners running program that is suppose to get me to running 5k in a a few months. I might do a 5k and 10k before the 1/2 marathon. My ultimate goal is to run a 1/2 marathon so what better race to pick than Disney Princess one! I turn 30 next year so I have made this my before 30 goal!

Just wanted to share the news! I may be up and running a few mornings on the trip, any body wanna join me????

Well...WTG Mandy!!! But no thanks on the run.....I am planning on sleeping in while on the gals trip.




JUST KIDDING!!! I know....I know....up and atom...movit movit movit.....I can hear Kel now......


We just got back from going out with my parents and SHIVERING....and eating yucko food at Culvers for the bday princess. (but I did have those cheese curds, Dawn! who can resist...I only do it once a year on Jojo's bday ) We went to my parent's hotel (NO..they do NOT stay with us...we tried that...and got into a HIDEOUS FIGHT so bad that they changed their flight and left early ) and played games all night....it was right near Culvers and it was handy....they spent the afternoon with me and the girls here...so at least it was a change of scenery. It was a fine visit except I cannot get warm. I am still so cold...the car thermometer read -12 on the way home. You can bet my parents are happy to put IL behind them.

There was a message that there is no school tomorrow...I am so happy they at least put the message on NOW instead of the 4 am call. I hate that....no matter what when the phone rings at 4 am I get a panic attack. Plus now I know I get to sleep in.

DAWN...I am so sorry about DH. I hope all goes well. ANd yes...we've had CNN on all day (THANKS stepdad ) so I saw that plane...that is so freakishly scary. And birds? say what??? OK...something new for this neurotic flier to worry about.

OK...well...I missed a lot today....I tried to catch up but I can't remember everything I laughed about on the way. Thanks for the good read gals.

Good Morning Gals


It's almost 6:30.......I got DH out the door for work, put in a load of , got a cup of coffee, and now having some ME time while DSs are still sleeping since school is cancelled . But OMG is it BITTERLY COLD . It's supposed to be a HIGH of about -10 today.......which translates to about -25 to -35 with windchill . Atleast it's Friday and we ended up with a 4 day weekend .


Chan......I'm glad Jojo's bday was nice and that you had a good visit with your parents . I'm sure Jojo had the best time visiting with them and having them here on her bday .


Kristin......Please don't worry about DS and all these make up days at the end of the year . Nothing ever goes on those last few days anyway.....and he's only in kindergarten.....so don't worry!!!!!! Just focus on GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!

Chan It is not too late...You can come in my room and we can sleep! I am always amazed at how the outside noise stays outside at the GF!

If I didnt have to work this morning then I would keep the kids home! DDs school is cold normally so I cant imagine how cold it will be today...I might pick her up after DS gets out so I dont have to go wait at 3:15!

Hey Siobhan ........I don't blame you about school and the thought of keeping the kids home . We got the call yesterday that there was a 2 hour delay this morning......but when I got up I started thinking of keeping my 2 home if school wasn't cancelled because it is BRUTAL here . But just before 6:00 we got the call school was cancelled . It's just not safe to have the kids out in this weather .

I was going to call you the other day to chat but I know you had been sick for awhile there and were fighting that awful cough......so I didn't want to bother you . BTW......how is that cough???? I hope it's cleared up and you're feeling better . I call you soon to chat .
