Chan - I've got one that eats breakfast and one that doesn't :sad2:. My older one seems to live in his own world getting ready in the morning.......thinks he has all the time in the world :headache:. And the more I yell at him to hurry up.....the slower he goes . So I just make sure he's out of bed in PLENTY of time for him to putz around :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Deb

OMG...that is exactly how Zack used to be....I would be sooo stressed out in the morning worrying that I'd have to wake up two little girls and throw them in the car with their PJs on to get Zack to school if he missed the bus!:rotfl: UGH!!! But...now that he's a senior....:rotfl2: he's finally getting in the groove.:rotfl: It just took him a few years.....yep...talk about a putz.:rotfl:

It's so frustrating at times :headache:. I started taking him this year since he's in high school and the bus takes the middle school and drops them off first (they start at 7:15 as opposed to the hs start of 7:30 :rolleyes1).....so the high schoolers are on the bus for an extra 15-20 minutes longer than they really have to be :sad2:. I told DS he could use that extra time in the morning (especially since he is such a putz :rotfl:) and I'll just take him to school. Of course I'll ask myself what was I thinking once we have snow and ice to deal with :rotfl: :rotfl:. But he'll get his license in July so he'll be able to drive to school next year ;).

Are you not one for VERY early flights :confused3? I'm sure you noticed SWA has the 6:30 am flight out for $68.

Deb..ugh...I hate those super early flights....we live way north of Midway so it's just a long day that way...and I am cashed by about mid afternoon if I do that.

I drove Lucy to school every morning last year. :headache: She has band at 7 am...but her band bus last year was scheduled to pick her up at 6:03. OMG...isn't it funny that extra 5 minutes this year we have makes a difference?!?!:rotfl: But...it was torture driving her last year in winter when the thermometer on the car would say -7 at 6:35 am. AWFUL. So...I told her to suck it up and we will try and catch that 6:08 bus this year. It has made my life so much easier...and I don't think she minds too much really. She is dedicated to band. She is the first pick up because we are in the sticks but her friends take the bus and so they all get there together. She has time to put her stuff in her locker before band too...last year she didn't...she'd have to leave it over somewhere lying around...and guess what???? Her lunch or stuff from her lunch would be taken every day!!!   Mean kids suck.

I thought Z would be driving to school too....but he doesn't care...so he takes the bus.:rotfl2: :confused3 He had to buy a $75 parking pass...and it's a lottery for parking spaces....so he didn't want to cough up that cash.

Channing :)

I know....those early morning flights are killers :headache:. We usually book a late night one the night before just to avoid the long travel day by going so early :rolleyes1. I think we've only had 1 early morning flight and that was in December 2003 :cold:. The limo guy got lost or something....nobody could find him :confused3. So the owner of the limo co had to come pick us up.....and it was a 4:15 A.M. p/u :scared1:....our flight was at like 7:00 a.m. When the guy got to our house he couldn't get the limo door open because he said the car was just washed and it was frozen .....it was only about 20-some degrees :scared:. So here is the guy CRAWLING through the tiny window up front to get to the back of the limo to kick the door open so we could get in :rotfl: :rotfl:. And here I am freaking out thinking we're going to be so late getting to the airport and we'll miss our flight . After that DH said to never book early morning flights again :rotfl2:. That's when I started getting evening flights getting us in the night before....plus the boys were so exhausted already from getting up so early and we hadn't even left the house yet .

What is it with mean kids now-a-days???? Mean kids DO suck .....and I can't figure out why they have to be like that :headache:. But there are so many rude and mean adults that I guess they learn it from their parents. Kids have it rough today and it's sad :sad2:.

Deb :)

Hello Blue!
Well I posted yesterday that my cold was kicking my butt but I got a terrible migraine late yesterday and it really did me in! My kids were wonderful! I told my husband the next time I speak ill of them remind me of this day! They would come to me and say, "Mummy, is there anything we can get you?" DS came to me later and said, "Mummy, are you sure there is nothing we can get you to make you feel more better?" It was soooo cute!

Did I ever tell you I love Thursdays?? I don't have to take DD to school because I do a car pool and it is great!

How very sweet:lovestruc (migraines are the worst...:headache: -they are right up there with tooth aches...) I love Thrusdays too...only one more day until FRIDAY:woohoo:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I LOVE BLOODY MARYS!!!!! :goodvibes Almost as much as Margaritas!!! But I like mine with a lot of Tobasco, peppered rim, no lime, green olives.....

:thumbsup2 I saw they sell Jose Cuervo margaritas in the cooler at Gaspies!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Can we order those and have them delivered to the lounge?? Does the bar do delivery! Please tell me yes...Well tell me there open in the AM!!

Do you February gals need an online intervention...:rotfl: who is going to be able to post and lets us GF fans at home know how everything is going...

Deb OMG your limo story is hilarious!!! (I bet it wasnt at the time though!!) I can just picture the driver trying to get in thru the window...:scared:

Dawn Puppy chow recipe sounds great :thumbsup2 I'll be trying it this week end...wont let DH know what its really called...:rotfl:

Afternoon gals :goodvibes

I am back and feeling better! :thumbsup2

I am bummed because we are not going to sell our house right now. :guilty: The Realtor is a good friend and to sell our house fast it would be lower than we were hoping for, we knew the market was bad and we knew this was a possibility but it is just hard for me to accept. I want to move now and move up to a bigger house that fit our family so we are not on top of each other. We found a house several weeks ago that was awesome and a good price and fell in love.

Monday we found another house that was 650 sq ft bigger than the first and it is a historic 1925 Spanish home....... I adore the old Spanish mission homes around here that this local architect/builder was famous for. If fact, we tried to buy a house a few years ago that was built the same year by the same guy and the couple ended up canceling the contract and filing bankruptcy and divorcing so we could not get that house. The house we found Monday had the original Spanish tiles surrounding the fireplace and is just so cool, it had more original detail than the home from 2 years ago!

Any one heard of Frank Loyd Wright? Well a local college just a few miles from here, Florida Southern, has the largest collection of his buildings and the guy who built these these home in our town was a friend of FLW and is one of the influential people who convinced him to come and design the college buildings down here. So there is history and a connection to FLW. The guy who built all these Spanish homes in our town lived in some of them also and FLW spent time in our town so he very well could have stayed in this house. I need to have my MIL write down the guys name, she works in the county historical library and knows all about him and his connection the FLW!

We are gonna install the hard wood floors my uncle is GIVING us and work on some landscaping and most importantly my DH is graduating from college FINALLY so after DEC he will have more time and energy! The good thing is this house has been on the market for a while and with it being older and Spanish it appeals to less buyers so we are optimistic it will be there waiting for us!

TTYL!

BTW: Dawn tonight is our tv night! Kath and Kim, 30 rock, and the OFFICE! We should both be in good moods by 10 pm! IN fact do you know i don't eat dinner on Thursdays? I wait to veg and snack while I watch tv! :happytv:

Afternoon Gals :)

BlueSkies.....Quite a story about that limo guy, huh :rotfl: :rotfl:. It wasn't funny at the time but we laugh about it all the time now . It was quite a sight watching the guy crawl through the window :rotfl2:.

Mandy.......Glad you're having a better day today :goodvibes. Sorry to hear about the house :sad2:. I'm sure everything will work out and you will sell your house when the time is right and the one you want will be waiting for you when you're ready to buy :thumbsup2.

Kristin......How is the decorating going :confused3??? You got me thinking about getting my Christmas stuff out but I have been busy doing lots of :laundy: and yapping on the phone....so no Christmas decorations for me today :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Deb :flower3:

Deb~ your limo story was funny, we have a not so funny one.

The limo driver that drove us to Orlando from our wedding reception was wearing sun glasses at 10 pm :cool2: We thought nothing of it till he started drifting into the medians about 10 min after we left.....My DH climbed to the front and talked to him through the window and realized he was slurring his speech ...... :scared1: My husband asked him to pull over at the Burger King we were approaching. We went inside and called my dad. To say i was p**sed is a understatement! I was on the phone with my dad crying my eyes out and he called the owner (who was an ex cop and good friend of his) and he had to come and drive us to Orlando. He also called the police to meet him at the BK and he was arrested for DUI and fired on the spot. I have not been in a limo since and probably wont be ever again!

The worst part is he is in the pictures of me getting in the limo leaving the church, throwing my bouquet, DH throwing the garter, (in one picture he is even reaching out like he was trying to catch it  ) and as we left the reception. Those pictures are a constant reminder of how bad that night could have been....... The photographer even climb in the front seat with him to ride to the reception and took pictures of us in the limo through the window and we asked him when we went to pick up our pictures after the wedding and he did not notice. We were all so wrapped up in the moment to notice anything was off. We think he drank the champagne that was in the limo because i mentioned them forgetting that i was only 19 and was suppose to get sparkling cider....... sparkling cider was in the ice bucket when we got in to leave the reception :sad2:

Hey friends!

Just got in from SHOPPING!! I feel a little guilty because I bought a lot of stuff for me! Well, most of it was for me...
OKAY I admit - it was all for me....

But BR was playing Christmas carols and those warm clothes were calling my name! There's some marketing for ya... and it worked on me!
I got some great deals - they had a lot of cute things!

I'm going to go back read the last few pages that I missed.

I did want to say to Mandy - OMG - I cannot believe your limo driver - what was he thinking?!:scared1: How scary!! I can see why you don't want to do limos anymore!

OMG Mandy.......How horrible about that limo driver :scared1: :scared1:. NOT a thing you want to remember about your wedding day :headache:. Good thing you and your DH noticed him swaying in and out of the medians and had time to put an end to it. But it's totally understandable that you wouldn't notice anything was off because it was your wedding day :lovestruc. I don't blame you for not getting into a limo again :rolleyes1.

Princesses.....WTG on the shopping deals :). Good for you.....we all need a little "me" shopping every now and then :rotfl:....but who am I to say because I have a hard time spending money on myself . I'm always spending on DH and the boys before myself .

Hope everyone is having a good evening :flower3:.

Deb :)

Deb- I hear you about spending on the kids! I go a little crazy with DD's clothes! They are all so adorable, plus matching hair accessories, etc. etc. So I don't feel too bad spending some on myself.

I have to buy for my DH or he would still be wearing clothes from the 80's. Seriously ! :rolleyes1

DS asks for new t-shirts or jeans when he outgrows them or if they start looking ratty, or if he wants something from the CCS catalog! He's low maintenance about clothes really though. He actually says "no - I don't need any" sometimes!? I guess he gets that from DH!

Mare - Thanks for the link! Sounds like you've been busy! Are you getting all packed?
I 'm still waiting on the weather reports to actually start packing, but I'm thinking about what I want to pack!

Dawn - WTG o the no homework! I've got my DVR set! I love Kath and Kim. I'm catching up on the episodes and was cracking up at the Flying Wedge hairdo one!

Hey all! It's been quiet here today!!!!

The sun came out so Tatum and I went for a nice long walk. Good thing we took advantage of the sun because it went away and then started to rain. Lovely.

I ran some errands, did some work, ran some kids around.....it's the story of my life.:rotfl:

Princesses
way to go on the shopping!! I have become a total internet shopper. I don't enjoy even going to the mall anymore.

Mare!! How have you been?!!?!?!? I was wondering about you! You leave soon for the YC don't you? Have a great time & a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

OK...I will talk to ya all tomorrow, GALS!! I know where Mandy and Dawn are.

BTTBC!:rotfl:
Ciao!
Chan....

I'm TRYING to pack! :) Right now the weather is in the 80s, the 15 day forecast says high of 60 when I arrive!!! I'm going to bring a little of everything, but I really don't want to over pack.

Mare!! How have you been?!!?!?!? I was wondering about you! You leave soon for the YC don't you? Have a great time & a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

Hey Sweetie! Missed ya! :flower3: Been busy bringing this one to the doctor, that one to the dentist, mommy needs her hair done, etc... You know how that goes! :rotfl2:

We just switched over to the Boardwalk from the YC. DH wanted CL, and they had it available. I also saw the BW listed in Travel and Leisure Mag as one of the 100 top hotels (AKL was also listed). The IPO office has been amazing! Getting us ADRs that are nearly impossible to get such last minute. We're also trying the DxDDP. I'm going all out on this trip!

It looks like this is going to be our last WDW trip for a while. We decided to sell our Pocono home and build a larger one. We just closed on the land portion last weekend. So now every time I mention another WDW trip, DH says "do you want to go to WDW again or do you want a sub zero fridge?" :rotfl2: He wants me to trade off applicances for a vacation!! :rotfl: Ain't happening! I love WDW more than most, but to finally build my dream home on the lake I can hold off a year if I must.

Hope all is well,

Miss chatting with ya!
Mare
