You're too funny . I may be staying at the GF but I've got a lowly GV room........not RPC . I told Wendy her and Chan will have to come down to the lobby to meet me and BlueSKies since the lobby's as far as we can get .

Here is my packing tip: Before I leave, I know what I want to wear each day of my trip. I usually have a pretty good idea what I want DS to wear. DH picks his own clothes to bring, but I can tell him what to wear on what day. When I pack, I pack each suitase with 3 complete outifts (sometimes 4 depending on how many days we are going) for each of us.

Suitcase 1= Days 1-3
Suitcase 2 = Days 4-6
Suitcase 3 = Days 7-9
Suitcase 4 = toiletries, shoes etc.

When I get to the hotel, I unpack suitcase 1 and leave the other 2 packed (I unhook the inside straps and make sure stuff is lying neatly in there. We lay them flat and stack them in the closet) Each night, I put the dirty clothes back in the empty suitcase. Repeat until drawers are empty, suitcase is full and move onto the next one. This is also how I make sure that my suitcases weigh the same on my return flight as they did on my outbound flight. They usually weight about 40 pounds each, so I have some room for things we buy as well.

OMG. Will you marry me? I love how organized you are. I seriously thought no one could have a better system then me, but you topped me. LOVE the ideas. We were actually over on our weight on our way back this past trip, but thanks to your snazzy suggestions that wont happen again. Oh this is an OCD's girls dream come true.

It's a sickness, I know!

I just got sick of having to spend so much time packing at the hotel the night before we leave. I used throw it all in the hamper and deal with it at the end, but it took too long. This works out so much better for us. The filled suitcases stay stacked in the closets, out of sight. The one we are "re-filling" sits on the luggage stand in the room (closed). Each night, I fold the clothes we wore that day back up and put them back in its respective suitcase. Once the drawers are empty, the re-filled suitcase goes to the bottom of the luggage stack and the next one comes out and I start over again by moving those clothes to the drawer etc. The only thing I am packing the last day is the bathroom stuff and that goes back in a ziploc as soon as we are done using it that AM.

I have never resorted to ziploc packing though (other than toiletries of course). When it goes in the suitcase, each outfit goes like this (from bottom of stack to top): shorts, underwear/socks, shirt. This way the underwear etc. stays with the outfit without getting lost!!!

Kristin - I use ziplocs just for toiletries too.......and our suitcases go right into the closet once they're unpacked . I usually take a couple kitchen garbage bags to put dirty clothes in at the beginning of the week.....then I find myself filling an empty suitcase after about 2 or 3 days so I don't have so much to do the night before we head home . I thought I was the only nutcase that had to keep our hotel room neat and tidy........I see there's others just like me . And don't get me started on the bathroom vanity . I am constantly cleaning that up throughout our stay because I can't stand clutter there either . I actually straighten the comforters on the beds before we head out for the day because it looks so messy after everyone is up and ready . Talk about a sickness .

OK, I got NOTHING done today! I have to stay off this stinkin' computer!!! (I did manage to order myself a couple of holiday outfits from the Loft though )

I am still putting up my Christmas stuff tomorrow, I will just clean around it on Friday, I guess! Time to find all my holiday CD's so I can load my disc player and blare it through the house while I am doing it (I bet the dog is gonna love me! ) I hope to have the bulk of it done by the time DS gets home from school- he is gonna flip when he sees it!!!

Don't feel bad......I went to the grocery store and that's about all I did......I've been glued to the computer all day too . I think it's the weather.......it's been so yucky and rainy all day . But I did figure out that on 12/21 I can make my ADRs for my June trip . And then I calculated what date I can make them for December 2009 ......boy do I need help ......especially since I haven't even booked December yet .

Have fun decorating tomorrow . If the weather stays this nasty I may even cave and get some stuff out this week even though I'm still not ready for Christmas .

I do all of that stuff too. I hate a messy room. Glad I'm not the only one.

Blueskies Glad you booked your trip. Everyone is going in June except me. 128 days until spring.

Did anyone get the passholder e-mail about touring the Castle Suite? By the time I got home from work it was already booked. Wouldn't you just know it, I am finally there for a special passholder event and it is booked.

Kristin What a packer you are !! I thought I was good I have my special shoe bags...toiletries bag...cosmetic bag...and I organize by outfit too...but not down to socks etc...also when in June are you going? It would be great if your trip overlapped with some of ours!! The more the merrier

If you ever saw my DSs suitcases which they pack themselves... I'm just glad when they finally get packed!!

I hope the beginning of December is warm I'll be there for just a few days..but I want the sunshine...in the 80's would be nice

Hate to admit it but I tidy up the hotel room too(arent we always on cleaning autopilot.. )...and do a little quick wiping with the clorox wipes...what can I say...

OK, I admit, I do not clean the room after we have checked in...
(I have been known to wipe down all hard surfaces with the wipes when we first arrive- including the bathroom floor )

After that, it is up to the mousekeeper! But we are not slobs. She pretty much just needs to make the beds and replace the towels. If she vacuums, its a bonus, but we don't tend to eat in the room.

We are pretty neat too but the room can tend to get a little messy just because of the number of people we are in the amount of space we are in....

I am so stressed...ALREADY. We still have a little time before our trip but I found out I have to give a deposition on a file the first week in December. 10 minutes after I find that out my boss asks me to give a 30 minute presentation on work comp law in IL the day after the deposition. YIKES!

We have Thanksgiving this weekend, a meet in Chicago the next, we then go to St. Louis for the real Thanksgiving holiday, another tumbing meet the first weekend in December and the next weekend I am hosting our Christmas party for work. I leave a week later. I am really starting to freak.

So..I am going to give up the Dis for the next few days. If you see me on here again tell me to get off and back to work. I am never going to be able to get all of this done!!

K- You are way to organized. I like the idea of so many outfits in each suitcase but I am terrible about wearing what I feel like that day. When you were talking about that I was thinking of your story where you wore the Xmas sweater to MK and it was like 80 degrees out.

I am exhausted tonight but must get something accomplished. With all of this other stuff I still need to find time to tan and stick to my diet. (ha...looks like I am going to WDW a little white with a few extra pounds!) I always eat when I am stressed.

Here it is and its addicting......

1 box crispix
3/4 c peanut butter
1 bag of milk choc chips
1tsp of vanilla
1 stick of butter
4 C pwd sugar


In a large CLEAN Target bag put 2 c pwd sugar...set aside with other 2 cups of pwd sugar
melt in microwave pb, butter, van and choc chips....keep stirring until melted and blended. Pour over crispix and coat....pour into bag....add the last 2 cups of pwd sugar to top of mixture. Close bag and shake to coat well...

Evening gals


Boy what a long day this has been . DH didn't leave Indy until 4:00 and didn't make it home until just after 6:30.....long day for him since he left at 5:00 this morning . We ate dinner right when he got home and I feel like I've been running around ever since just cleaning up ....and it was just pizza so there wasn't a lot of mess . It won't be long before I'm headed off to bed .


BlueSkies.......getting up at 4:30 this morning is beginning to catch up to me now . I'm glad I went to the grocery store today so tomorrow I can stay home and get stuff done around here . I read that Disney addiction thread and I identify with ALOT of those .


Vanessa........Sounds like you have a very busy couple of weeks coming up . Just keep thinking that once all this craziness is over you will be enjoying yourself at the GF over Christmas .


Dawn......How funny that was about OKC.......I just cracked up at myself when I saw that I put in the wrong city .

Hi!

I had a busy fun day. Went out for a LOOOOoong breakfast with my super nice saint but FUN nurse friend. Very nice time.

Then ran some errands,did a little housework, did a little other work, and ran kid around.

I am not in a chit chat mood...believe it or not. Not sure why. Hormones? I don't know....

V- sorry about your crazy life right now. I hate that. Hang in there. Look to the vacation!! You're ALMOST there.

Dawny, that puppy chow sounds scrumptious. I have to go back and find that muffin recipe. YUMMMy!!!!! Did you see I bought my flight? I just don't know....if you take that early 2 flight...I don't really wnat that one....I am not sure what K and S are doing....I don't know what I am doing.....I just bought it because it was cheap. Nothing is set in stone....

Deb! I know if I hadn't had stuff to take me out of the house today I would have been glued to the computer...bored! This weather is trashy and makes me feel bleh! Maybe it's not hormones, but the weather!!! OMG...and yes...it's a lesson!! It didn't just happen to ME!! I guess we have to be careful with that SWA ressie system!!!! Poor Dawn!!! No OKC for her!!! Ft Lauderdale is pretty decent...but OKC...nope....deal or no. That is funny about your ADRs. I NEVER make them that far out. That is silly IMO. I am a putz about that....but I can't even get that excited about dining 6 months out.
