Having a GRAND time - the NEW Official GF Chat Thread PART 3

I've decided that this morning I'm going to get up in the attic and bring all of my Christmas stuff down so I can go through it. My cousin is having a yard sale next Saturday and I have a bunch of Christmas items that I don't use anymore, so I'm going to try to get rid of them there. Then I plan on putting up my tree next Friday. My DH thinks I'm crazy, but he doesn't help me with it anyway, so I'm going to do it when I want to . I'm not in the mood to shop yet - plus I have no idea what to get anyone this year, so I'll decorate - I love to do that.

Good Morning GALS!!!

So lovely morning I have had so far...NOT! So one feature that I do not like on my new car is the 7 am wake up call from my husband! Yup...anyone with this lovely car imagine why he called me??? Oh he went to get gas and left the keys in the ignition and what do you think happened??? Anyone....the doors automatically LOCK!!! So I got the honey, if AAA comes they will ruin something for sure so I have to 1) get myself up and throw on some clothes, 2)wake my DD up and get her ready and 3)tell DS I am sorry he cant watch his TV right now....we gotta go! So I drive 20 minutes away on no gas because my DH basically left me on fumes yesterday. I said, Monday the car is mine! None of this crap! So here it is almost 8:30 and I still have to shower and get ready for work make kids lunches and what am I doing? Dising! At least I know where my priorities are!

Hope everyone is having a god day so far! I like my ticker even more today...what to pack????

Oh yeah Mare, please please let me know how you likey the BWI CL...I will be there in 29 days! Tell them all to get ready for me!

Good Morning Ladies


Princesses ~ It's a good thing I have 2 boys and not girls.....otherwise I'd really be in trouble . When my DSs were little I went CRAZY clothes shopping for them . I couldn't go anywhere without coming home with stuff . My DS15 is like your DS.........he'll ask for t-shirts, sweatshirts and jeans when his stuff gets too small....otherwise he's good with what he has . The CCS catalog is big in our house too . DH and DS13 are the total opposite......they are constantly telling me things they want that are either Fox (motocross) or Arctic Cat..........and their lists are a mile long .


Lisa ~ DH doesn't help me with the tree either.....he used to but then the last couple of years I'd get in the mood to pull everything out while the kids were at school . Plus it makes it a little nicer being the only one home and having peace and quiet.......more gets done quicker . It's nasty and rainy here too ......and snow is predicted for tomorrow . Have fun decorating .


Siobhan......What a way to start your day . Atleast it's Friday . And you DO have your priorities straight.....we all know the Dis comes first . I am always worried I will lock my keys in the car so I always take the keys out of the ignition and get my cell phone in hand before I get out to pump gas .

Siobhan! That is terrible!!! I think foreign cars do NOT lock if the keys are in the ignition. Not sure and not gonna try it. ...that would be a nightmare.

Oh...I have a son that leaves my car on fumes. Men...boys...whatever. All the same.

I put up little Christmas trees in my kids room. I love this time of year. I would love to visit Dinsney in December - maybe next year...is there a time of the month that truly isn't crazy busy??

Dawn~ Good TV night! I loved ER and 30 rock! Jennifer Anniston was funny.

Yeah I use to work at FSC guiding walking tours during the summer......lets just say I know a lot about Frank Loyd Wright! I love his homes, I would love to visit Chicago area and see them and I also want to visit Fallingwater in PA. I do NOT love much of the FSC architecture...... I do love Annie Pfeiffer and Danforth Chapel. But there is one building, Esplanades, that has these triangular things along the walkway and this weird slanted over hang and I think i have hit my head about a dozen times on those columns..... You seriously can not walk down this one section unless you are under 5 ft.

Mare~ Welcome back! We have missed ya! I can't wait to hear about your trip! Oh, and how nice you getting to build your dream home ...... My dream home was built in 1925! Your hubby is funny using a sub zero fridge to get out of WDW!

Traci, I really don't think so. I would see - depending on what you're buying - which code makes more sense....check their shipping rates....sometimes if you're ordering smaller things, you can break them up into groups of $30 and make several orders and use that $10 discount over and over....if you're buying large expensive pieces the shipping is probably your best bet.

I already bought Jojo a ton of stuff....they had a $10 off code last month also...but I might have to go back and see what else looks good. I am BAD...I like that stuff as much or more than my girls. Just wait...you'll be hooked.

I am not sure how many RPC rooms....standard or suites and honeymoon rooms all together?

Traci...definitely reserve at 90 days and you have to put a CC down. I don't think it gets charged until you are THERE in the cabana.

I just ordered a bunch more stuff for Jojo. Lucy is growing up and not asking for fun stuff. I have not even started on her and Zack. I have a TON stashed for Jo. Beverages...LOL....Beverages sounds alcoholic to me.

Yes, it's nice. there are water bottles, juice boxes & sodas in the fridge. You will have a fruit basket also.

There is a TV....and supposedly satellite radio...but it didn't work...but who cares? There is also a DVD player and you can borrow DVDs.

It got VERY ugly and snarky over on the GF FAq a long while back about the rates going up & the reservation process changing for the "tents"....omg...I don't remember if I called it a tent or what (like I really care, right?) IT IS a tent....but I got mauled. I think it was around....mid June? or was it spring?....not sure...it's on the FAQ. UGLY.....just think of every nasty GF poster....and they were there at the "party" Makes for an amusing read....too bad you missed it...you would have been on MY side.

Channing I remember the days when we couldnt wait for the American Girl catalog to arrive DD was such a big fan..she has 4 dolls so much of the furniture and clothes..
Now its all stored away maybe for her own DD some day...

Traci You're gonna love the cabana (aka tent... )they didnt charge us for it until the very day and I think the cancellation policy is 24 hrs in advance...enjoy

It is 65 degrees here so confusing to be cold and rainy one day and warm and overcast the next... I hate winter but this is crazy...keep taking out different seasons of clothes....
