Hi everyone!

Deb I would be through the roof! I hope you hear something today!

So I guess you guys have made me think about the renewal and here is what I was wondering...I bought my AP in April but didnt use it through the turnstiles until Oct 26, 2007. So this year on Oct 26 my pass expires. If I renew the pass and dont use it until Dec 14, is the pass good 365 from Oct 26 or Dec 14? I might have even confused myself with that one! LOL
As far as the military discount goes, I can get an annual pass for $446 total. There is no tax at the military exchange. They do not offer a renewal pass. So I have to buy a whole new one at the $446. If I renew it, it will be $456. Not as much of a difference as I though originally. I guess it will depend on when the 365 day mark starts Oct 26 or Dec 14. Hope that didnt bore anyone!

I still havent decided where to stay. I have BC CL with a deposit and of coarse with all your comments about Dh's saying no I was laughing out loud! GF SL was up last night but only from the 17-21. DH had asked me nicely not to do a split stay this time. I tried to convince him last night but it was a no go. All he kept saying was for once, please just one place! But GF CL I kept saying! Ugghhh! I didnt book it and today it is gone. If it comes back up I am doing it. It will make me happy and I can work on him! LOL

Mandy I am so sorry that the kiddo's are sick! That stinks!

Annette....I get that way and I think Chan and I have even talked about how we get that depression even before we leave sometimes. I cant stand it. I didnt Dis for a while...well okay..a long time because it made me sad to think I wasnt going! I am going to try to make the most of my next vacation and relax! Not think about leaving before I even get there!

Siobhan You are funny about your room! I am shocked you did not snatch that sucker up! DH said as long as we had the funds to pay cash for the hotel room we could stay the night for DD birthday! NOW what cheap-o place to pick!

Siobhan ~ I can't help you with your AP questions as we've never had one ....but I am waiting to see what the experts here say because I've decided to purchase APs for our trip in July.....and I'm thinking we may continue getting APs in the future . So this info will come in handy for me as well . The problem I have with my DH most of the time is I can't ever get him to give me any input . Maybe it's because he knows I'll do what I want no matter what he says so he figures why bother . But I have to say that when I couldn't decide whether to book the BC or GF for July....I was seriously thinking of doing a split stay (we've never done one) and after a week of torturing myself over it, DH finally gave his opinion of no split stay and to book the GF in July and we'll do the BC another time . But usually I'm on my own making those decisions as all DH wants to know are the dates we're going so he can tell work and what time he needs to be ready to go to the airport . I really don't mind it because I LOVE all the planning for Disney trips....it would just be nice to get another opinion some of the time .

I better get my butt off the computer and get dinner going . Homemade pizza tonight.....finally something DS#1 won't complain about being nasty . He is sooo picky ...but he does like my pizza ......so atleast I know he'll eat tonight without complaining .

Deb~ Yep the girls are feeling better i think..... I put them on the BRAT diet and they are doing better still a little gas but that is no biggy compared to what I dealt with earlier! DH and DS are at RA's, I am having pb&j and i made chincken and white rice for the girls for dinner.

You home made pizza sure sounds yummy!

We usually get pizza on the weekends and about a week or two ago DS13 asked why I haven't made pizza in awhile . So I decided I'd go ahead and make it tonight . It's just too easy to get on the phone, order one, and go pick it up....so I guess I started slacking a little from making it .

How is DS doing in school? Is it still kinda strange for you not having him home during the day??? I hope things are going well for him and he's having a good time .

Annette I always have pangs in between trips...and right before I second guess everything a thousand times...but once I'm at Disney trying to plan for next year now also...I think its gonna be June DH refuses to even think about another August trip...(he just dosent care for hurricanes )

Tete I have been trying to get a few nights at the beginning of December for weeks with no luck (at least at the GF or other monorail resorts...) Would love to hear how BC CL is..I'm pretty sure that our next trip will be a split stay at either BC or YC and the GF...

OMG....no packing done. NONE. I am sort or feeling pressure now. Kids both have stuff tomorrow after school and we won't be home til about 7 pm. Crud. We will be doing it Friday night. I can see it now. They are not thrilled to be going and it's killing me. They have their important stuff here. Just getting them to do anything to get ready to go is not going well. It didn't help that they both had a lot of homework tonight and then the debate was on and the night got away from us FAST.

Siobhan....as i understand it....if you renew your AP October 26...that is day 1. It doesn't matter on a renewal WHEN you first use it after the renewal. I believe it is considered renewed from your expiration date even if you renew 2 wks past your exp date. I've always been in the parks to renew or just skipped renewing all together and bought a new one when we'd go down. The savings is minuscule on renewing and if you are going to miss a couple months in there, you might just want to buy it new when you get down for your trip. BUMMER on the GF SL miss!!! I hope it comes back and you snatch it. I like your plan to book it and work on DH later. He'll come around.

Hey, Traci! Are you getting excited??? Are YOUR kids happy to be going???? Mine are bumming me out. I keep thinking....should I just cancel? And then the stock market went crazy crappy again today and now DH is grumpy about it. It's too late to cancel now. Is this the pretrip downers or what??!?! I am getting a pit in my stomach about being there ALONE. I think I might freak out. (that is a me freaking out smiley )

Deb....I love home made pizza. Where we live, hardly anybody will deliver. It's a joke that the kids made up that the pizza delivery cars don't make right turns. My kids think my pizza is best anyway. Born of necessity. I am going to take a ton of pics. I bought a huge pack of AA batteries. I am set. Now I just have to remember to clean the cards off....I still have about 1500 pics from July on them. ugh.

Hey, BlueSkies . I was wondering where you've been . I hope you had a great week with your DSs . You have to take the time with them as it comes because as they get older (especially when they're in college ) those times are far and few between . I keep telling my two that they aren't allowed to go away to college because mom wouldn't be able to take them being away . Glad you were able to spend time with your boys .


Chan - OMG.....I can't believe you are not packed . I would be going absolutely CRAZY . I wouldn't worry too much about the girls....I'm sure they'll come around once you all get to the airport and finally arrive at Disney . You and the girls are going to have a great trip . Just think of the WARM weather they're having in Orlando while you're still here in Chicago freezing your butt off . Everything will be fine . Thanks for offering to take so many pics......I can't wait to see them all when you get back .

Hello all! I haven't been on for a while and there are so many new names on here. I thought I would join ya'll again.

Siobhan - Channing is right. We have had AP's for years and they are always good 365 days from your exp. date if you renew. Also, like Channing said, the savings is so little that I just buy a new one if we were not there when our experation date hit.

Channing - I can't believe you are not packed. I can't believe I am not either. We leave in a few hours and I haven't packed one thing. In fact - I haven't washed all of the clothes yet. That never happens to me. I have got to get busy. I have an idea though for your girls. As soon as you get there take them to there favorite spot and let the Disney magic infiltrate them. Maybe that will do the trick. If they have Disney in their blood (and I do believe they do) that will work everytime. There is no denying it when your emersed by it.

My kids wont stop stop talking about it. Every morning they wake up and ask if it's our turn yet (to go to Disney). It's cute...they are only 3 & 4 though. We have 8 days left. I get chills just thinking about it.

Busy day...take son to school, take daughter to dance, pick son up, take daughter and son to swim...laundry and feed the family.

Thanks for the responses! That is what I thought but it is always good to ask! So I guess to save 10 dollars and gain 2 months (mine expires in Oct and we arent going til Dec) I will just get a new one. I will know in my heart that I have been a passholder since 2007! LOL I can order it now through the Exchange in Portsmouth NH and get the voucher then get the real thing in Dec. Now to decide where to stay. DH is doing a wicked flip now and says we should stay at Shades. It is just blah there. But with that we can leave on the 13th instead of the 14th. Maybe even the 12th after work for him...There is an 8 o clock flight out of MHT. At $93 a night we would be saving a ton o money! And I am close enough to the GF and the dreaded Poly. It came up last night and I told DH....He was like okay...and I said a quick no! Seriously, I have problems! I just cant decide.

All, Have any of you noticed (or post) on the "How Many Days You got Left" thread? Please ask them to change it to "How Many Days Do You HAVE left?" Everytime I see that it screams through my head HAVE HAVE HAVE I am truly being silly here so I hope no one takes me seriously in a rude way. I still wish they would change it though LOL!!

I will be taking my laptop for the first time. It's my saving grace on the plane. Kids can watch a movie. I hate to fly and can't have a cocktail or a xanax because I feel I need to be alert in an emergency to save my babies. Ugh. The one thing (besides crowds) that I don't like about Disney. Anyway, back to my laptop. I have never taken one to a hotel before. Can I just plug it up in the room? Is there a fee?

Hi Traci!

There will be a cable in the closet to use for your laptop. The fee is $10 for a 24 hour period! I think that is a lot...JMO! Make sure your battery will last the flight! I was mistaken on mine. Died half way through the flight because I forgot to turn it to efficiency!

I also agree with you about that GOT thread! Oh my! Really!

Mando how are the kids today? I hope better with the BRATs diet!

My dad is doing ok. Actually he went back to Gainsville yesterday for a post op appt. and the only major issue he is having is the incision. It is still not healing well and they had to opened it up for a 2nd time. I will spare details.

DS is doing well in school, I am meeting with his teacher and the advanced reading teacher this afternoon. He is liking it and is Mr. Popular! He goes to school where most of the kids are from low income family's (He is on a waiting list for the magnet school) but it has been amazing the things he says his classmates don't know about. Only one kid has been to WDW but it was as a baby DS said he told a kid at school he was going Friday and they think we are rich. Most of the kids eat free lunch and DS takes his and he said everyone watches as he unpacks his lunch box to see what he has to eat. The teacher has given me permission to send individually packed snacks to pass out to the kids at lunch once a week. It just breaks my heart how some of these kids have so little.

Yeah I checked my AP and and the renewal date is the same as the expiration.

How much is the renewal savings with non FLA AP's? We save $30 per renewal and for us when we have 6 APs to purchase we will be able to get a child's AP for free, well it is currently $186, so we will have to pay $6!

Morning all!

Traci, this is my first time taking my laptop without DH....he usually does it all. I was asking Kel the other day how do I DO IT?!?!??!? She said there is a cable/cord thing in the closet in a bag (I HAVE SEEN THAT!) And you plug it into the strip on the desk and your computer. I am gonna need some advice on WHERE on my computer. I also have to have DH do a few other things. There is a $10 fee for 24 hr internet service.

I never drink on a flight either. Same reasons you don't. I am going to load my ipod up (THANKS KELLY) with good WDW music and podcasts, read People Magazine and a trashy book I started. Jo brings a DVD player and we just went to Target yesterday and got the complete SPEED RACER 52 episode set for her. She will be SET! And she always gets some new Pollys etc for the flight. That way I don't concern myself with the kids....just keeping myself content. Lucy got "Kingdom Keepers 2" and she is going to have to load up her ipod, too.

I KNOW! That thread always bothered me too!!!!!! There was a "POP" thread too...it said "Poped"....so doesn't that seem like POPE...the Catholic one? What evah ya. It's funny. I don't have the best perfect grammar, either, but it's funny to read.

Myra!! That first day we get there will probably be late afternoon....I think we will have dinner at B & C...and I know they will like that. Then maybe go spend a few hrs at DHS because I read about drunks at Epcot on Sat night...and now that PI is closed it is HORRIBLE>....Epcot has become the drunken party place. Esp with FWF going on.....Sunday we are heading to MK. That always makes us feel good. Have a great time yourself!!!!!

Thanks for the computer hook up. $10 bucks a day. Yikes. That does seem high.

We will arrive mid afternoon a week from tomorrow. Heading to DTD to do build-a-dino while we wait to eat at T-Rex. My son LOVES dinosaurs (theme of his 5th Birthday in December!!) so he is really excited about this. I got him a shirt with a T-Rex on it that says Jackasaurus! Dad has one too that says Daddysaurus. Cheesey, but we'll be at Disney baby!!!
