Deb, haven't started packing yet. I usually do it a couple days before. Packing isn't a stressful event for me. I already have my notes ready (yes I make notes for clothes to take). I also have notes for how my daughter will wear her hair, which bows to bring with which set...that's the tiring part. Putting it into the suitcase = easy. Oh, and only 18 more days baby

Mandy, your Publix crack made me smile I am from Oklahoma and we don't have this service station, but I have seen a few in the south called Kum & Go. I think that name is nasty for a gas station place.

LOL...Traci, that is nasty! I have NEVER heard of that.Wow...you are amazing with the organization of outfits, hairdos and bows! Packing freaks me out. Unpacking is worse. Jo eats chicken nuggets but she won't touch a burger. Or pasta...only mac & cheese. And she knows her mac & cheese.

Deb, hope ya had a good weekend. No chocolate chip cookies??!!? Jojo won't eat pizza, although....I did discover the trick to get her to eat more variety is to have her help make it. She now eats pizza SHE makes. She will be more willing to at least stick her fork into something to TRY it if she has a hand in making it with me. Kids.......BUT she is my Chocolate Chipmunk. She loves chocolate....no issues there.

Hey...Jojo WILL NOT touch soda or anything fizzy. I guess that's good!

Well....I found out our schools will take the Olsat tests the week of October 20th...when we're gone. I need to find out more about that. I had a feeling it was in October.

Good morning everyone!

Dh put me to work in the field yesterday. Harvest is in full swing. It felt good to get out of the house and get some sun! Evie's daughter spent the weekend with me and I took them out to the field and she smashed her fingers on a wagon door. Poor thing...I felt terrible.

Hi to everyone else!!! Better get in the shower. I am in charge of the Bible Bucks program at church today. Our Sunday School kids earn them each week and we open the store each month. Then it sounds like dh is going to give me a lesson in combine driving. This will be very interesting. I am sure I will get yelled at within the first five minutes.

V -- I hope you guys have an excellent crop! My DS9 would be on cloud 9 if he could help out in the fields. He LOVES to dig and loves to ride his tractor around. This was made by my BIL and he loaned it to us until his grandchildren are old enough to ride it.

Morning all.....

Just up to get some meds, tea with honey, and check my email..then its back to bed. I feel like I have been hit by a semi-truck DH does the grocery shopping so I gave him my list...I think I will dig out a juicy book I havent read in awhile and then Im going to watch Arrested Development on DVD...it always makes me feel better. Or does anyone remember the movie Four Seasons with Alan Alda, and Carol Burnett?? I love that one too when I'm sick. Thanks for the well wishes!

Chan...we had homecoming here too...only DS 14 went and with a bunch of guys..i guess its the new thing....meet up with the gals at the dance. Times a changin I guess...There was even an article in the Tribune about the same thing...who knew! Anyway I guess the gym was overcrowded and DH was over there cause he was on shift.....The cops and fire were MAD! Over the firecode, kids passing out, etc...2 firetrucks, 3 ambulances, loads of cops....the HS has over 4000 kids...no way the gym could hold that many

Vanessa...I feel for you guys in the farming communities...hang on hopefully it gets better. This economy SUCKS! Stroller Swap????? OMG Im LMAO!!! If you go for the fridgeswap then we may have to do an intervention!

I am normally not home at all on Sundays but DH forgot the bag with all our after church clothes so we ate at my GM and came home. Kinda nice!

My dad got to come home yesterday! We were thrilled and my kids were so happy to see him! HE got emotional and of course I got emotional and it was just so sweet. Anyways we went to a new place and got Italian ices and custard! MY new obsession is custard , where has it been all my life?

I am going back to Step classes in the AM! I use to teach after I had Baby #2 but have not been able to get to a class since baby # 3 & 4! I am excited, I LOVE step classes and I lost SO MUCH weight doing it after baby's# 1 & 2!

That is terrific news about your Dad! I love step class as well. It's a great workout, and I love the music and routines. It keeps my mind off of it being so much work. I have been slowly getting myself back up to speed on my elliptical. Since I've had shoulder problems I've had to stay off of it, but since I've stopped PT my shoulder is better, so I jumped back on. Although, it's sad that I can only do 1/2 the time I'm used to doing...

Traci....I'm a list maker too......I start a list for every trip about 2 months ahead of time....I wouldn't make it if I didn't . And although I have boys and not girls, I can see how time consuming it would be to make sure you had all the hair bows and anything else to go with just the right outfits . I make sure I have atleast 1 t-shirt to go with every pair of shorts for both ds's....then I throw in a few extras......I DEFINITELY overpack every time . DH thinks I'm nuts because he says I stress myself out way too much......he thinks it's easy....just throw in some shorts and t-shirts and go . Men.....don't have a clue (atleast not mine ). I do stress myself out for no reason, but once I'm in that limo on the way to the airport, it all seems totally worth it .

Mandy.....Glad your dad is home from the hospital .

Chan.....My two don't eat mac & cheese like they used to when they were little, but when they do eat it, it HAS to be Kraft....no other brand will do . Same thing with hot dogs.......HAS to be Ball Parks . My oldest will sometimes drink pop, but for the most part he is a water drinker . Now my other one likes pop . But they are both milk drinkers as well, so that's good .

Dawn Lawton is yucky - sorry you had to live there. I grew up central Oklahoma. I have lived in a couple of cities there (Norman, OK) and DH and I also lived in Edmond before coming back to his hometown in Missouri.

Morning~

I just got back from step class and am feeling OK but I know I will be dying in then morning, the teacher had a bad weekend food wise and made us all pay! We did 5 sets of these things called baby dolls.... they are painful and make you want to cry when you are done! We did 5 sets of sit ups..... thats 125! I was able to use 5lbs wights after not doing much weight training in the past few years I started off with 3 lbs but moved up b/c I knew it was not enough! I can't wait to get ripped arms again! I wish you could all see my wedding pictures, I had awesome arms!

A drive by post from me!

I am ashamed to admit, that I just scanned the posts

DS was sick over the weekend (strep throat is going around ) He just had the super high fever, but no cough etc. It broke after a day and I sent him to school today anyway (field trip to the apple orchard) so hopefully he is fine. I feel like crap today now (watch- I will be the one who gets strep!!!).

We have sky box tickets for tonight's Sox game!! I need to get in the shower and get my black on (Another "Black out" at the Cell) before DH gets here- I guess the lots open at 1pm.

Chan- my grocery tip is the buy one, get one sales. I also decide what we are eating for the week based soley on what is on sale in the sales flyer. I spend about $500 per month for our family of 3. And I shop at Jewel, not Super Walmart or the other discount chains (not that there is anything wrong with that )

Kristin Enjoy the game Glad DS is feeling better...the one thing about strep is after 1 day on meds you feel soooo much better...

My kids have never been picky eaters....that always made it pretty easy to dine out!!! Wouldnt mind if they got a little pickier now that they eat so much!!

Marvel I was thinking maybe your family was big time cereal eaters.. You have the right idea buying ahead like that So organized...

I will be waiting . Still haven't gotten the paper back . I keep asking DS everyday if she returned it because I'm anxiously waiting to see what grade I got . I emailed her this morning to see what the due date was for the NEXT project and she said he's doing well with this one . So we just have to get through this last one and about another week or two and we're DONE with her......and when I say done....I mean DONE as in NOT HAVING HER ANYMORE because DS will be in high school next year and this wacko is at the middle school .

I make list like you! I knew 3 months before our trip what my kids were gonna were everyday! I planned their outfits according to the day, Chef Mickey day was of course the Mickey tees and the girls wore the Minnie bows I made! AK day, I appliquéd mickey heads on cute tank tops out of animal print fabric and made matching bows! Just call me obsessed with themes!

Amy I love that you are having a WDW wedding! I wanted one really bad but my parents were kinda hesitant b/c a friends daughter had a MEGA wedding planned there, the wedding was gonna be IN the MK! The groom turned out to be a drug addict and she called off the wedding and WDW gave them a hard time canceling stuff. That was 14 yrs ago and when I got engaged 11 years ago it was still fresh in their mind what Judy and John went through canceling Lisa's wedding and they felt like it would be better to get married here. I am kinda glad I got married in my church but I am so totally pushing for a vow renewal, I am thinking we can do one every 10 yrs! LOL Seriously my parents offered me a significant amount of money to just elope, my dad knew that the budget would keep getting out of hand and my mom was just not even into planning a wedding with me. If I could do it all over again.........

I am gonna have to live through you!

Nobody asked, but is 165 days until spring. I start counting on the first cold day. 66 days until Dec trip, unfortunately not the GF, and 213 long days until BWI and GF.
Kristin Have fun at the game. Ours doesn't start until 8:37 PM. That is just too late when you have to get up for work the next day. I wish they would start these games at a decent hour. Traci How many days is it, I lost count.
