My camera is broke. :(
I do not know whether to replace it or fix it.

I am also wondering what cameras have least problems. What cameras do others like and why.

I really liked my camera. It is a Kodak 4800. At first it kept shutting itself off. I have it to stay on longer now but it was taken apart and now the focus is out of wak. I can focus in and out but it goes so fast I can not get a good focus.

Anyone know where to send a digital camers?

Thanks Tigger

Well first....how long ago did you buy it? Most of the time they come with a standard one year warranty by the merchandiser (Sony, Panasonic, etc) At many electronics stores now you also have the ability to purchase a warranty extension to last up to four years. On items that are pricey like digi cams, we always get one ;)

Check and see if it is still under warranty. If it isn't, it will probably cost more to fix than its worth. Not sure about what you look for in digital cameras, but I love the Sony models. I have a real small one that fits in my purses and its a 3 MP that looks just fine. They also have the same small cameras in a 5MP now too. Otherwise, there are always the nice digi cams such as Canon, Nikon and Olympus with the lenses, usually about 8MP.

Good luck!

Only what I did by accident..........delted all the pics on the memory card.......I meant to only delete one, but accidentally deleted the lot.:(

It's funny you mention this. I bought a Nikon Coolpix 3100 on April 19, 2003, specifically to bring with me to Japan. Well, wouldn't you know it, on April 17, 2004 it "breaks" on me. The lens wouldn't pop out when I turned it on. So I took it into the office on Monday, April 19, 2004 (with receipt and warranty paperwork) and explain to the secretary my problem. She jots down notes in Japanese and express couriers the camera to the Nikon service center in Yokohama. Lo and behold, my camera came back to the office today - fixed and working great! And there were no charges! I thanked the secretary profusely for her help. She explained that in her note to the service center she told them that due to time differences, the date and time in California (where I bought the camera) were 16 hours behind Yokohama time, so the camera should still fall under the 1 year warranty! They obviously honored her explanation and did the repair work for free. Cool, eh?

Other than that, I love this little point and shoot. It takes great pictures and is nice and small for pockets and the like.
