Indiana just lowered the age to 55, DH & I got appointments for Next Friday.

Got my second Moderna shot 12 hours ago now. So far, only a sore arm. Some folks said they felt ill the next day, so I shall report back in the morning. The nurse giving the shot told me that moving the arm throughout the day would help with soreness. I did that but it's still pretty sore but nothing to complain about. Yesterday, our local hospital received an unexpected shipment and were able to give 1000 additional shots for folks without appointments, or for folks who wanted to move their apts. up. Vermont just opened up for teachers and others under age 65.

Good, I will show this to my 60 yr old brother who is getting his 2nd Moderna in the morning. He's rather nervous. And like I said in an earlier post the other brother is getting his 2nd shot Thursday (Pfizer). Those two are so competitive they will be all over each other with the side effects or lack off comparisons .

That's so funny you say that about being competitive. I was the only person in my family who ended up with side effects on the 2nd dose and I felt like I failed at something. My adult kids were teasing me that their immune systems were soooo superior to mine

Has anyone seen availability for the J&J vaccine, yet? If so, in what state? The reports have been saying that they were looking at shots in arms sometime this week. However, since the final distribution is made by the individual states, I imagine that availability will vary. I have heard that distribution of the J&J vaccine may be targeted toward facilities that have been unable to have the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, due to the strict storage requirements.

My husband, father, mother-in-law and father-in-law all had their second dose of the Moderna vaccine the last week of February. Of that group, only my husband experienced any rough side effects after the second dose. My husband said he felt like he was coming down with the flu for the two days after the second dose. No fever, just body aches. My Dad had a headache and mild backache the day after. My mother-in-law only had sore arm at the injection site and my father-in-law had the sore arm and felt very tired, but that is it.

I am so very grateful that they've all been vaccinated as they are the ones I was most worried about getting the virus. Hopefully, my turn will come soon in our State.

My friend got an email from a mass vaccination site in Missouri she had signed up for. She's getting it on Thursday. So great to see such a fast turnaround!

It gets frustrating that some states seem to be vaccinating more of their state and others are still stuck on 65 and older like my state. They are letting people that work with kids or elderly, doctors, dentists etc but why are some states vaccinating more groups now I wonder. My state still on 65 and older with no mention of that changing soon.

My sister and I live in different part of the state we both made appointments today I got 3/12/21 & she got 3/30/21 she lives in a higher population area than I do.

(OHIO) My in-laws scored appointments at a Marc's in the next town over for this morning...dose #1 of Moderna for both of them.

I saw a bunch of appointments at Walgreens in our area earlier today and my mom was just like "alright I'll look later"...of course all of those appointments are gone now.

I have been looking for my step dad since last night. His age group opens on Thursday so I need to find something after. Right now I am only able to look at Marc's and Giant Eagle. My dad had his second dose of Moderna (Nevada) on Saturday with no side effects.

My mom had her first dose of Pfizer (Tennessee) on Saturday. Just a sore arm.

Waiting on more categories to open for the the rest of us.

I have been looking for my step dad since last night. His age group opens on Thursday so I need to find something after. Right now I am only able to look at Marc's and Giant Eagle. My dad and his wife are also going to be eligible on Thursday, so I'll be trying to help them find appointments. My dad said he'd signed up with the Board of Health to be on their waitlist and I was like, "Okay, but...if you check with pharmacies maybe you'll get in faster and not have to wait for the BoH to call!" He also said he wants Pfizer or Moderna, not J&J and doesn't want to drive too far...which, okay, I get that you want things, buuuut you may just need to take what's there.

Do you find the Marc's website hard to navigate? Whenever I look there it only shows me one location and doesn't let me look at anything else.

I read that the just opened United Center in Chicago will be getting J&J.

Stalking the CVS appointments website at about 5:30 AM this morning and rushing to book slots for my wife and I (CT 55-64 group) before they were all gone totally reminded me of getting up to book 180 day ADRs and 60 day FPs back in the fun times, which hopefully will be returning in the not too distant future. Luckily I was successful and we are getting our first shots this week.

No I am 55. Indiana just opened it up to 55 and older.

24h past my first Pfizer shot. My arm was pretty sore yesterday, and felt kind of stiff/heavy. I felt a little weird/tired last night but slept ok, and feel fine today (and last night could have been stress/anxiety and me being overly aware because of the vaccination). My arm is still sore if I lift my upper arm, but it's more localized and less than yesterday.

Overall totally no big deal.
