Have you/can you wear your veil in the park?

Ok, I'm just asking because I thought "how cool would it be....."

We all know that Disney sells Mickey ears with the veil attached. Here's a twist on that.

Has anyone wore THEIR veil? If I were crafty enough to attach ears to my veil, it would look and feel so much better than the headbands they sell.

So, what do you think. Any opinions? Has anyone tried it?

I wouldn't mind trying it, since I don't know what else I'm going to do with my veil other than store it somewhere. I don't have a reason to pass down my dress/veil, so why not make something fun?

Haven't done it. Would depend in how long it is? If its long enough to be bothersome to someone sitting behind me on a ride, I wouldn't bother. Just HMO!:goodvibes

Yeah; but that would be really neat! You'd have to take it off for a ride that will cause it to flap back in someone's face (i.e. Space Mountain) anyway because hats like that will fall off if you don't.

Might be the way forward as rumour has it Disney aren't selling bridal ears anymore :(

We were told last fall when our daughter was married that Disney DOES have guidelines as to Wedding dresses and veils. We were told that they don't allow anyone to wear them in the parks due to them looking like a "real" princess. You can get your photo's taken wearing them before the park opens though. I suppose it may be also due to liability issues such as if it got stuck on a ride etc. I would call prior to wearing it.

Yes, as Disney brides, we all know very well that you can't wear your wedding attire unless you book a Disney photo shoot. Which we did, and we are happy with our photos. It was great for us, and very unique. I would not want Disney to allow just anyone in with their wedding attire, because it would make it "less special"

But, what I was looking for was making Disney Wedding ears out of my veil. Since they already sell them like that, would mine be close enough to go with? Oh, and I wouldn't wear my tiara, just the veil part, with Minnie ears.

I took off my wedding ears on the rides, and I would do the same with this. I just thought it would be something original. I mean, really, what to brides do with their veil except store them? I'd rather get something out of it.

Just joking, but I'm sure I'd get stopped if I wore my dress to Mickey's Not So Scary. Wonder if my husband could wear it, though? Just kidding!

I made these (not my real veil but a veil i bought to play w/) to wear in April

please excuse my sloppy looking self. It was a crafting day.

LWatson:

I absolutely LOVE your design! That's exactly what I was thinking of doing, but with my actual veil! :woohoo:

You did a great job, and for a crafty day, you look pretty awesome! :thumbsup2

I think I'd buy an extra veil, in case you don't want to ruin your actual one. It's so easy to add Micky Ears to just about anything, as long as you have a Micky Ear Hat you can cut up. I made this for my son for our Christmas trip, as my son's a big Cards fan.

Don't cut up a Mickey Ear hat! You can buy just the ears at the parks, in different colors too! Literally, just the ear part that you stick on.

I think that's a great idea. I'm not concerned about using my real veil. I mean, when will I wear it again anyway, right? Better to use it than it get shoved in a closet somewhere.

I think I might take this on when I eventually have an anniversary trip. We go during all different times of the year, so I would do this only for our anniversary.

Although, my husband now tells me "You're not a bride anymore, you're a wife" :rotfl2: Shows how much he knows!

All of us here will always be DisBrides!
