I purchased the DCL insurance for my Dec 1 Magic San Juan PR to Miami cruise BUT I did not get the Disney air. I live in FL, so before the hurricanes, it has been cheap to fly to PR. Disney air would have been over 300./person (for a 120. flight, now more). So the question/problem is this: Undecided at this point when to TRY to get to San Juan, the day before the cruise (the original plan) or the morning of. Hardly any hotels available and even if they take a reservation, no guarantee that they will be able to honor it....BUT if I try to fly in the morning of... say the flight gets cancelled, or I get bumped for relief workers etc..., this could happen the day before the cruise also...( I am anticipating recovery efforts still underway in November, just 6-7 weeks away), will the DCL insurance cover my not making it to the pier? I have credit cards that give some travel insurance but if I am delayed, how to get to the next stop, St. Kitts as it stands now.... what kind of air service exists now between islands? Then if I get stuck in San Juan, good luck getting off the island.... the few flights they have going are quite full and i doubt the airport/flights will be anywhere near the old capacity....
