As I read through your Gideon’s report, I could smell that bake house I agree with you… one of my favorite Disney Springs shop too. For us, it’s a must do every time.

Your are right it does smell good in there. It is a fun shop to visit for sure.

I’ve never seen that specific Gideon’s bag design before. I love that!

I had never seen it before either, but it is awesome.

We decided on some drinks. My sister ordered the Blueberry lemonade and I ordered the Lemon Drop Martini.

Both the drinks were delicious.

We could see one the Amphicars on the water from where we were sitting.

There is white one in the background in the water in this photo. I took the picture before we entered the restaurant.

We decided to order some shrimp as an appetizer. The waiter said they were huge so we opted to get a couple a for each of us as we had ordered a salad and a entree too.

The shrimp were huge and very good.

We both ordered the wedge salad and it was delicious.

For our entree we had the New York strip steak and fries.

This was the best steak I have had in a longtime. The steak was perfectly seasoned and had a seasoned butter on top. The steak was cooked exactly as I had ordered. The fires were seasoned well and were also good, but the steak was the star of the meal.

You also received nice warm yeast rolls with the meal.

This was an incredible meal. The drinks were fantastic and the food was sublime.

Our waiter Christopher was the best. He was attentive yet unobtrusive. He knew his job and his timing was impeccable. He is the kind of waiter that you enjoy tipping generously. He is a star.

It was a nice relaxed meal.

I will be back and I highly recommend if you haven’t visited the Boathouse for a meal to give it a try. It was wonderful.

My husband and I absolutely Love the Boathouse, and we always made a reservation for there when we visited. We would never miss eating there. The food was always excellent as was the service. I think we sat in that same area as the view is the same as I remember. The Boathouse is an absolute winner in my opinion. So glad you got to go there and try it out.

A little info on the Lanyards it is cheaper to purchase those at Guest Services as the Lanyard and the plastic card holder are sold together for one price

Outside the parks?

It was really quiet at the Pool. Usually people will do the parks in the morning and then return for relaxing afternoon pool time break.

That's our usual 'private' pool time in Orlando

The maid had been to our room and it was all refreshed. She had even made a nice blanket design with my Harry Potter blanket on my bed. Too cute.

Well the Club was closed and we were told that at this time it was only going to be open on HHN nights.

but the Crab Rangoon Dip was the best.

Outside the parks?

No, I purchased the special HHN Lil Boo lanyards at guest services at the Resort. Guest Services were the ones that told me it was cheaper to purchase the lanyards from them than in the park. They sell the lanyards with the lanyard and plastic card holder at Guest Services. So it is cheaper.

In the stores inside the parks they sell the lanyards and plastic card holders separately.

Not sure about the Guest Services inside or outside the park.

I'm not a fan of cow fish, however, that may have me give it another try

LOL….I have been in line before for rides and they tried to place me on a rides with a folks that had not been friends with a shower for a while. Nope….I told them I would wait.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH CONTINUED

After leaving the Boathouse we started our walk in direction of the Lego Store. My sister K’s two oldest grandsons have liked Legos for years and now her grandson J likes them. So we needed to have a look in the store.

There are come nice areas for photos as you walk around Disney Springs.












They do have some nice Lego sets to purchase. I gulped when I saw the prices, but I realize that the fans of Lego’s see the value I don’t see.



They did have a Harry Potter set. It looks like the Weasley House.

After having a look in the Lego Store we wanted to look in the big World of Disney Store. I always like looking at the Halloween decorations and all the Halloween merchandise. There is a little something for everyone.


My niece B has always been a big fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas.




The light up Zero dog house was cute.


I found these Nightmare Before Christmas Croc’s and they were cute. I did try a pair of them on and they were comfortable. I’am always looking for comfortable shoes to wear in the park. They do glow in the dark. I did have the CM look for a pair in my size and I did buy a pair.



She also likes the Haunted Mansion merchandise.





There were some cute Pirates of the Caribbean backpacks.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH CONTINUED

Hands down Disney does have color in their Halloween decorations. They had moved the Halloween display from where it usually has been over the years near the far right back of the store and it seemed smaller, but it had plenty of merchandise.





After we were done in the World of Disney Store walked over to Arribas the Crystal Store. I always like having a look in here.




I liked the crystal wand. If I’am not mistaken you could fill a wand with the color crystals of your choice.






After Arribas store we walked through the other stores that are connected.

My niece B is a big Nightmare Before Christmas fan and has been for years. I can remember when she was 10 years old and she told me I needed to set down with her and watch the best movie ever. It was Nightmare Before Christmas and I will have to admit I liked it.

My sister K who was on vacation with me is B’s mom and we are always on the look out for things we think she will like.











My sister loves Hocus Pocus and she saw these Minnie Hocus Pocus bags. She passed on them as she likes the original characters and already has a number of backpacks and purses.





I wanted to have a look in the Star Wars Trading Post. My son is big fan of Star Wars. I have bought him a number of the real Light Sabers over the years. They are now selling the Sabers in the Trading Post again. For a couple of years they moved the nice Light Sabers over to Batu which really made it hard for folks looking for them at Disney Springs.

If you are a Star Wars fan this store is really set up nice to have a look around and there are some tempting items to choose from.


These R2D2 backpacks were cute.






I remember when they were selling these Coke detenator drinks at the park. Not sure if they are still selling them there. People were keeping them after drinking the soda and there was an issue with the airports initially not allowing people to bring them even empty through security.

I always got a glass figurine, and have a nice collection now. I havent' been for years and wonder if they still have the glass blower and the real hand blown glass figurines, like I bought? I hope they have kept up that tradition and didn't downgrade it to cheap Chinese glassware, like other places have done.

As I continue my trip report I just wanted to pause and let everyone who is in path of Hurricane MIlton and all those who have suffered and lost so much from the destruction of Helene that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH CONTINUED

My sister loves to look in the The Art of Disney and I will admit I do like looking around there too. They have such nice collectable Art pieces.



She really likes the Disney movie UP and the characters.













This Constance Haunted Mansion figure was really detailed.

I bought this Sanderson Sister figurine that has the lights and bubbling cauldron sound last year at the Art of Disney Store and I enjoy putting it out with all my Halloween decorations.



After we were done looking around Art of Disney we walked over to Goofy’s Candy Company.


It is always to colorful and it smells really good too.










There are always nice Halloween treats to look at.

There was an older CM who knew her way around the art of Carmel Apple dipping that was teaching some new CM’s the ropes.




We were ready to pack it in and head to the parking garage, but we had one more stop as we were leaving.



Amorette’s Patisserie is a must stop on the way out. If you have never been inside you need to stop in and look around.

I have bought deserts from here before and they are delicious.



They always have character cakes and during the Fall do wonderful Halloween desserts. They also sell sandwiches. If you want a dessert to empress from Disney Springs this is the place to get it.
